Bethany's Retreat

Everything was perfect, we would book again.

Beautiful view but unfortunately accommodation not as described in listing.

Unable to use BBQ as no gas cylinder, heavily stained mattress in second bedroom as no protectors on bed and pillows. Washing machine was broken on arrival but fixed after a week. Outdoor furniture unable to be used as rusty and broken also collapsed while sitting on it. Owner did replace said furniture with plastic chairs which weren't as comfortable for enjoying the lovely weather. This accommodation is in such a beautiful setting but unfortunately it needs a lot of tlc to match the rating originally given by Sykes.

Needs a little tlc in places but otherwise it was a lovely place to stay, certainly nothing was a deal breaker, in fact I do believe my brother has already booked to stay again, lovely location too.

Nothing too much trouble for owners. Brilliant views as described lovely and quiet.

The lodge was in a great position on the site.

Amazing views. Had everything in the Lodge you needed. Plenty of extras and thoughtful supplies. John the owner met us at the Lodge and explained how everything worked. He was very friendly and it was lovely to meet him.

Everything was perfect.

On our arrival John was there to greet us and show us around. There was milk and tea coffee and a few other basic provisions. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Bethanys retreat was a great base to explore the area .I am sure we will be back

Great place everything you need.

Owner thought of everything very pleasant site, quiet (we were there out of season) lovely spot for exploring Largs and surrounding areas. Plenty of walks and plenty of time to relax. Would definitely recommend plenty of space and cooking facilities if you want to cook yourself or local takeaway places nearby. Definitely will be going back.

Absolutely beautiful lodge, owner (John) was lovely, very welcoming showed me round the Lodge and where everything was and how it worked, it's so much larger than shown in pictures.

And the views just Wow!! Amazing. The owners John & Elaine also go above and beyond making sure there's fresh milk in fridge, variety of coffee and tea, sauces etc nice sweet treats, flowers. Had a wonderful stay, even with bad weather. Would highly recommend this property. See yous both soon. Thank you

Stunning scenery. Stayed off-season which was ideal, very peaceful and relaxing. A perfect start to the year!

Everything was perfect and the hosts had gone out of their way to include lots of extras which really were so thoughtful and kind.

everything was great with our stay.

the lodge was well equipped with everything you needed. The owners added extra touches were apricated. They only uncomfortable element was an uncomfortable mattress on the double bed. this did not take away any of our enjoyment. Thank you very much.

What a beautiful stay we had, met by Eileen she's so friendly and welcoming showing us around and where everything was and also some local recommendations.

The Lodge had everything we could need an more even the small touches for dogs and extra toiletries if you needed them. We had such a lovely stay and would love to re book for next year. Such a lovely view to sit out and watch the world the go by.

John and Elayne are exceptional hosts.

Their hospitality is outstanding. The lodge is fully equipped and beautifully arranged. We booked again for next year within hours of arriving. The position of the lodge is perfect with amazing views across the Clyde. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the lodge and were blown away with the generosity and incredible attention to detail John and Elayne have lovingly invested in it. Can't wait to come back....

.. such an amazing place, the lodge couldn't be any better, it was such a perfect holiday,we had amazing weather, the location couldn't be better very handy for the train and ferry station. Elayne and John go above and beyond with extra touches to make your arrival welcoming. I cannot recommend Bethany's retreat enough 10/10

The lodge was really value for money, right on the edge of the Parkedean holiday resort so we were untroubled by other visitors and had great views of the sea.

The property was light and airy with good decor and plenty of utensils and gadgets in the well stocked kitchen, It was also very close to the shops and the butchers sold great pies and had lovely cafe - we went on the recommendation of the owner and were not disappointed.

The lodge was beautiful, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. The extra's provided by Elayne and John were fantastic, we would highly recommend a stay here and we are looking forward to visiting again in the future.

The lodge is beautiful and I'm sure they're very proud of such a lovely holiday accommodation.

Lovely lodge in a lovely quiet location on the site.

Facilities within the lodge were great. Hosts were amazing and we were made to feel so welcome. The extra touches were fantastic. Would thoroughly recommend and will return without hesitation should we decide to come back to this area of Scotland.
