Had a fantastic stay at Woodstock.

As others say John's attention to detail and customer service is second to none. Accommodation was great the views across to Rothesay and Bute were amazing and combine that with a week of un-broken sunshine .... it was a belter ! Thanks John & Paul

Great lodge on a Lovely location, able to watch the ferry coming in and out.

Fabulous space and facilities all explained on arrival by the owner. Milk, bread, fruit, cereals, wine, biscuits , wash up liquid etc etc provided ( thank you). Lots of towels/robes/flip-flips. Great tv on wall (basic package). WiFi a bit slow at times and can occasionally drop out. Lovely secluded hot tub. Combi boiler for water and CH. Ferry to Rothesay/drive to Mount Stuart well worth it ( choose a fine day though). Not very much else to visit in the area. Clubhouse feels ‘rough’.

Firstly the location is beautiful, the views out across the water with the trees at the back of you.

..just stunning. Secondly the lodge itself was immaculate, modern and beautifully decorated, everything you needed was there and more. Lastly the host, John, greeted us with such a friendly welcome and the little extra gifts he gave were above and beyond any I have had before as a welcome pack...I won't go into details or it wastes the wee surprises for your stay.....definitely recommend this lodge and hope to be back ourselves.

Woodstock lodge was a wonderful find, the host John is lovely and kind and explained everything well.

The lodge is just perfect with everything you could possibly need and more. The owner John was there to welcome us and show us around. He was a lovely man and very knowledgeable about the local area. We had the most relaxing break in 5 star luxury. The little touches like scones,cakes,wine and even bread,milk and butter made us feel special. Of course the hot tub was a massive bonus.

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and everything explained fully.

From the flowers on the table, a goody chocolate box, homemade scones and cake, fresh bread, and all starter provisions for our first 24 hours - we could not have expected more…. The view is amazing, very tranquil setting, and would highly recommend this property. Plenty of space inside and out for any weather - sunshine or rain, you will be delighted at Woodstock ❤️

Woodstock Lodge is amazing!

We had a fabulous weekend and all the little extras supplied went above and beyond our expectations. Hot tub time was a perfect way to end our days. Would highly recommend.

They literally think of everything. The lodge is excellently positions, withamazing views accross the estuary and just a short walk to the train and ferry port. The facilities in the lodge are the best we've ever had. We cannot express enough how great woodsrock lodge and the hosts are.

The views are stunning and a joy to wake up to. We all had a relaxing week and would definitely return again.

The lodge is very well equipped and clean, heats up quickly if the weather is cold .

Also the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. From the veranda the view over the bay is wonderful, watching the ferries coming and going is very restful. Where the lodge is ,it is quiet and peaceful and a great place for a chill out stay. I can recommend a visit.

We will definitely recommend it to friends & family. John met us on our arrival & he went through everything with us to make our stay perfect. He was very pleasant to talk to. The place was immaculate with all you needed to enjoy a very comfortable stay.

Complementary starter pack was full of goodies and Paul's meet/greet to explain was welcomed. We book many such like breaks and this is one of the best for comfort and value. Comes highly recommended from us and will take some beating. That's a 10 all the way. Thanks.

Woodstock Lodge deserves 10/10.

The extra touches in the Lodge - bathrobes, hairdryers, hottub towels etc - were appreciated. The Lodge itself is spacious, clean and comfortable and the hottub is brilliant! If we return to the area, we'll definitely stay there again.

Luxurious, wonderful location, great view, many thoughtful touches from the owner to make this the best lodge we’ve ever stayed in!

My friends and I stayed for the weekend at Woodstock Lodge and the host John went over and above for us, even down to leaving us a tub of lurpack in the fridge and a tiger bloomer!

The stay itself was quiet and relaxing with sufficient amounts of space, towels and toiletries. We were shown how to work the hot tub which was an easy plus. Where the lodge is situated is not too high up in the holiday park and is more secluded and quiet with excellent views of the water and ferry. We will be booking again! 5* for facilities and host!

Absolutely fabulous lodge!

The location of the lodge within the park was ideal, very quiet and with beautiful views. It really was a home from home, very comfortable, clean and stylish. All the little extras made it even more special, there were home made cakes and scones , and fresh lemonade on arrival. A lovely big bowl of fruit, fresh bread, and various shopping essentials all within the cupboard and fridge, as well as a lovely bottle of wine! My little boy especially loved finding all the little chocolate bars on the bedside cabinets. John has thought of everything to make you have a memorable stay in his lovely lodge and having you look to book again before you've even left! Hot tub was also an added bonus. Will 100% be back again!

Met John on arrival very nice man and helpful, house is more that 5 * everything you could wish for was laid on and the welcome pack, of tea, sugar, milk , wine and chocolate,and flowers was not expected, spent my 80th birthday there but did not manage to use the hot tub as the weather was not good, I have booked again for next year.

Well I am loathed to write this review as I'm afraid more folks will head to this wonderful home from home!

With stunning views across the forth of clyde, and a great location onsite you'd be crazy to go to any other lodge. A massive thank you goes to the owner's who have not only provided us with their own little piece of winter wonderland, but went so far above and beyond with countless fantastic little extras that really do go a long way. I won't spoil these little surprises, instead I'll let you find them when you follow our little family's steps and book this super lodge. This will most definitely be our little staycation venue for years to come. Many thanks again to John and Paul.

The first time I have been genuinely WOWed by a weekend away!

My friends and I had an absolutely amazing time at Woodstock lodge! It was just beautiful and the hosts festive decorations made it extra cosy. All the extra touches made us feel so at home. Comfy beds, plenty of towels, fully equipped kitchen… I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. You won’t tire of waking up to the beautiful view of the river Clyde either. And the hot tub! Honestly, I didn’t want to ever leave.

John met us at the lodge and provided a guided tour so we knew what to do etc.

John was extremely welcoming and left a few unexpected treats for us and even gave us a bottle of wine as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The view out to the Firth of Clyde was fantastic. We have had a fair few staycation holidays and Woodstock Lodge is our number one. John was available anytime we needed him but we did not need to make contact. Really thoughtful to have his mobile number printed on the keychain. Every little detail was covered from first aid kit to robes and slippers. We would definitely return for another holiday and do more island hopping. Neil & Jackie

Just spent 7 nights at Woodstock Lodge with my family.

I cannot recommend highly enough, everything was as advertised and John the host was there to meet us and had left so many extras, scones, cakes,wine, bread, milk, butter and much more. Spotlessly clean loads of towels and hot tub was superb. Thanks John will certainly be back. The Stewart family

My wife and I stayed here with our two children (5 and 2 years old) in early July.

This property is simply exceptional in every way. John has ensured that the property is spotlessly clean, that guests are made to feel welcome and the nice little “extras” such as scones and wine make sure that when guests arrive they feel immediately at home. We were also really grateful that John was prepared to accommodate our late arrival (due to ferry times). John’s knowledge of the surrounding area is exceptional and his recommendations formed the basis for several visits. In all - an exceptional property and outstanding host. We will hopefully return!

The little touches go along way.

If you want home from home and a place that oozes so much thought and care - escape here. The view of the sea and hot tub is an absolute bonus. Oh! And the hamper and baked treats too! If you're lucky enough, you might spot a deer or two around the woodland area, surrounding the back of the lodge. Highly recommend this place!

We were met at the lodge by John who showed us how to use the hot tub & explained how it is always emptied the day before you arrive cleaned & refilled which we thought was great & reassuring.

The lodge has everything you could possibly need & more. Little thoughtful touches, robes, slippers, plenty of towels, umbrellas. The welcome mini hamper was full of goodies & home made scones & a cake to welcome us. Bottle of wine milk, butter. So thoughtful & very much appreciated. Views from the lodge are fabulous & very relaxing. Lovely to have sky TV but to be honest we were out everyday exploring so much to see locally. The owners have been very thoughtful with this too as lots of leaflets are provided. WiFi was good too. The lodge is in a nice peaceful part of the park backing onto woodland. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. We travel a fair amount and this lodge exceeded our expectations.

We have just come home and can I say we had the most lovely time.

We were welcomed by one of the owners. The lodge was so friendly and welcoming with lots of little touches and a sense of you are here to relax and enjoy so please do so. From bathrobes & slippers to little chocolates at the bedside no detail was missed. We were shown how to operate the hot tub explained and again a real sense of enjoy and every need was catered for. Thank you John & Paul. We will definitely back.

We had the most amazing experience visiting Woodstock Lodge!

It was the perfect place to celebrate the New Year! The lodge is beautiful and was fully stocked with everything we needed and more to make our stay so special. It is situated in a lovely area and the views of the coast from the lodge were breathtaking! It was also beautifully decorated for Christmas which was another lovely touch! We particularly enjoyed bringing in the New Year in the hot tub! The hosts were great, meeting us upon arrival and showing us how to work everything around the lodge. We particularly enjoyed the fresh baked scones they left too! We will definitely be returning for another stay at some point in the near future!

John was the most welcoming of hosts, giving clear instructions on how everything worked.

Lots of little extras like home baking, bread, butter etc. spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and plenty of towels for the hot tub. Will definitely be back!!

Woodstock has to be one of the best equipped lodges we've ever stayed in , John and Paul really have thought of everything .

The property was spotlessly clean throughout and everything was of the highest standard , we loved our week here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodstock for a peaceful relaxing week with some lovely walking nearby . Not too much going on in Wemyss Bay itself , but there's a couple of good places to eat in Inverkip ,The Chartroom & The Inverkip Hotel , great meals at both in relaxed , but very safe feeling surroundings in these strange times . All in all a fantastic week in a lovely property

Everything about the lodge and local area was spot on. Definitely rebooking, a gateway to lots of places and complete luxury in the lodge, including the hot tub.

We stayed at Woodstock Lodge over Christmas & to be totally honest it was the best Christmas I've ever had.

The lodge was fully decorated with Christmas Dec's and looked amazing. It's in a lovely quiet spot backing onto a national park which is perfect for walking off your Christmas Dinner. All the extra touches which John and Paul had put together were amazing and made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly didn't want to come home. Will definitely be booking again. We booked this Luxury Lodge for a long weekend for my daughter's Lauren's 21st.

We were amazed with the little luxuries that were left from the owners John and Paul. Homemade scones and homemade jam and cakes. Loaf of fresh bread, milk, butter and a bottle of my favourite pinot grigio .... these were just a few to mention .... there were so many little touches. We will definitely be back. The views are amazing and the hot tub was brilliant ... easy to use .. the canopy above the hot tub meant we could even use it in the rain. I will not say any more as I want people to be as amazed as we were when we first went inside.

Absolutely amazing lodge.

The hosts have thought of everything. There is literally nothing they have forgotten to add to the lodge and all items within it are of high quality. It was comfortable, clean, spacious and has a luxury feel. John and Paul go above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Items I loved that were included were: robes, slippers, plenty good quality towels, tooth paste, tea, coffee etc, bread, milk, biscuits, home baking, eye masks, blankets, board games, drink measurer, good knives and other utensils, method cleaning products, all cleaning supplies, tupperware, flipflops, clean and cared for hot tub, fast wifi and smart tv. I will definitely return for another relaxing stay. The views, especially the sunset were amazing! Thank you for a pleasant stay :-)

Woodstock lodge is the best holiday home we have stayed in.

It is equipped with everything you need, from comfortable seating and beds to nail clippers! Lovely owners and the welcome pack with essentials & goodies very much appreciated. Lovely views and the weather was ⛅ , a perfect holiday.

Lodge was brilliant.

John was very helpful and friendly. Everything has been thought of - the welcome pack, homemade jam and scones, the robes and slippers, towels for indoors and for the hot tub along with flip flops, plenty of blankets to sunggle into, the clothes airer to dry hot tub stuff for the next day :) There were plenty of toys, games and DVD to keep our to children happy and occupied and sky for the adults. The hot tub was amazing with powerful jets and a sun shade that came in really handy with the sunny weather. The view from the lodge was amazing, and spent most mornings wrapped up on the outside table watching the ferry and boats sailingbaout. We had a day out on Bute as it was a short easy walk to the ferry terminal and a visit to Largs to visit the Viking centre.

The owners John and Paul thought of everything to make our stay extremely comfortable.

From the welcome lemonade, scones and cakes, wine in the fridge and all the essentials you need for breakfast to robes and slippers, bathroom essentials and extras, flip flops for the hot tub and picnic hamper and blanket. The lodge is beautifully furnished and decorated and extremely homely. The view is amazing and the location is great for exploring the west coast of Scotland and surrounding islands. And you can walk to the station if you want to explore by train. Finally the hot tub is top notch, much fun was had in the evenings with all the lights on. Thank you John and Paul, I hope we can come back soon.

We had a brilliant week at this place .

John and Paul go above and beyond normal standards or expectations. Paul greeted us after waiting patiently because we were delayed for over an hour. There was home made lemonade and scones and jam and other pastries and chocolates. The bedrooms and communal area was fantastically stylish with built in speakers and satellite TV. Every attention to detail had been thought through. I cannot rate this place highly enough and would certainly recommend it to everyone I know

The lodge is absolutely beautiful.

The location is perfect, you are in a quiet part of the caravan park, with beautiful sea views. The owner has thought of everything to make you feel you are having a luxury break including welcome gifts such as scones and Scottish jam and a chilled bottle of white wine. As a family we have often stayed in holiday cottages around the UK, and had some very nice ones, however this holiday was our favourite by far and we can't wait to return. Thank you.

When we arrived at Woodstock Lodge we were met by one of the owners (John).

The lodge is stunning and looks better than in the photos!!! We were shown around and given information about where everything was in the lodge and how to work things like the heating and the hot tub. As well as this John had provided us with essentials such as milk, bread and butter along with some very nice home made scones, jam and cupcakes. The lodge is in a lovely peaceful location with stunning views and places to walk, but close enough to supermarkets and the local town. If you're looking for a relaxing break and some sight seeing I would definitely recommend Woodstock Lodge. Some of the highlights for us and our six year old daughter were being able to put on our wellies and explore the rock pools and being fortunate enough to see seals relaxing on the rocks.

The lodge was perfect in every way,The food parcel and wine were much appreciated and the hot tub divine.

as was our hosts.The site itself was remarkedly clean and tidy, and readily accessible from the main road with bus,train, and ferry links within metres of the site entrance.. A great holiday and we will return health permitting if the glorious weather we had during our stay can be repeated. All in all PERFECT

The lodge was a complete home from home with everything you could think of. A fantastic starter pack including a chilled bottle of wine. As we were staying over the Easter weekend the lodge was decorated with gorgeous Easter decorations including many chocolate eggs which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was fantastic. Woodstock Lodge is one of the best accommodation we have ever stayed in, the owners have thought of everything. Thank you for allowing us to share you beautiful lodge we hope to return.

We all loved the hot tub, and the weather helped with this also. The little extras like bread, butter, wine, sweets, etc were all greatly appreciated. One of the best lodges we have stayed in and John kept in touch to make sure all was well.

It was great that we had a rainy day and we stayed in and played games felt so homely. There was everything you need for a great holiday coming from Australia it was nice not being in a hotel room. Having the extra luxury's was wonderful. The park was lovely to walk around and the sunsets where great.

John and Paul the owners have honestly thought of everything you will need to make this a special place to stay, from the very generous contents of the welcome pack including a bottle of wine, home baking, sweets for the kids, DVD’s, a well stocked toy box for indoor and outdoor use ,Sky tv in every room, WIFI , the provision of robes , slippers and towels for use of the hot tub, beds made up for arrival and with the washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher , fridge freezer and every piece of cooking appliance needed this truly is a home from home. From it’s elevated prime position it offers spectacular views from the seated sun deck area over to the island of bute and beyond. The lodge itself is set in a quiet secluded area of the park which offers you the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing break yet at the same time is still close enough to the main entertainment area of the park that we could walk up here with the 4 kids. We’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that haven’t catered for us as well as the hospitality and attention to detail provided here by John and Paul , we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend Woodstock Lodge highly enough to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area.

John was amazing, he'd thought of everything from toilet paper and washing powder, down to the home made scones and strawberry jam, and lovely welcome pack, meaning we could spend our first night relaxing instead of shopping.

The lodge was as listed, spotlessly clean and with everything you need, including bath robes and slippers and flip flops for the hot tub. Amazing views and lovely and quiet on the edge of the park, nothing was to much trouble. I couldn't recommend booking this lodge highly enough. We will definitely be back

The owner went above and beyond to make our stay special with all the extra touches like dressing gowns, slippers, washing powder, softener and even blankets for sitting on the balcony of evenibg, family board games and outdoor toys for the kids, that’s just to name a few. I would highly recommend this lodge to future holiday makers.

From the moment we got to Woodstock Lodge we were overwhelmed, first impressions is just wowww how beautiful and it just kept getting better!

the owner John is a first class host, he welcomed us with such a friendly and outstanding manner and showed us everything we needed to know. He had also very kindly left a beautiful hamper of goodies, milk butter and bread and even a lovely cold bottle of wine to enjoy on the amazing decking whilst looking out a a fabulous view of the firth of clyde. There was everything you could possibly need and more in the lodge. It is absolutely stunning and as far as ratings go five stars are simply not enough. We have been to alot of five star lodges, but Woodstock Lodge is definitely a cut above the rest, with everything being above and beyond expectations. I could not possibly rate this lodge or it’s lovely owners enough. We have already booked to return for New Years and are also already planning our return thereafter. Thank you for everything .

It was very clean,tastefully decorated and spacious in a quiet location with a great view of the bay. Everything you required was provided,including sleep masks,dressing gowns etc. Lots of games, dvd's and a large TV. The owner was very friendly, gave us a guided tour and explained all the facilities.

Brilliant wee weekend away.

The onwers of our lodge were lovely! The lodge was beautiful and exceeded all our expections! Especially the wee touches such as the bread, butter and cereals and of course the bottle of wine the owners left for us as a welcome gift. We will definitely be back! Would definitely recommend this lodge! A lodge in a milllion!

John the owner was there to greet us all and made us feel so welcome.

The lodge is absolutely beautiful and the view looking over onto sea is stunning and so relaxing. The lodge is equipped with absolutely everything and of high quality from furnishings to toiletries, even ice for our drinks! We have stayed in lodges throughout Scotland and Woodstock is by far the best! Definitely 5 star plus! Highly recommend and will be returning. Thanks to John!
