Mallard Lodge

Me and my partner recently stayed at the mallard lodge with our dog.

Facilities were clean and easy accessible. Jay was very accommodating and also gave us please ty of privacy. It was also a bonus she had a little dog which was extremely friendly and playful. The dogs had fields to run around in. Grounds were lovely for walks. We enjoyed the scenery and the wildlife. Lodge and hottub were clean and decor up to good standard. Would definitely go back :)

It was okay.

The landscape around the cabin was gorgeous. The cabin was decent and functional. The atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable at times during our stay when we were outside our cabin. It did not feel as private as it appeared to be in the listing on expedia. The cabin itself was private, but the area around it felt very public especially over the weekend.

Property could have been cleaner and could do with a really deep clean Apart from that has everything you need for a nice stay Not so good when people are out clay pigeon shooting most of the day but didn’t start until 10am ish so not a big deal as we were out for the day but definitely a watch out !

The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable, only saw her a couple of times but she was very approachable , hot tub could do with a little maintenance

It was a nice break (storm Dave so weather not great, everything in the lodge was functional, I had to fix the w Roller blinds in the bedroom (no Biggie), it would benefit from some fimer touches, like for instance a shower mat to stand on instead of having to use a hand towel but overall pretty good.

Roof rattled quite a lot due to the wind, the electrics tripped once due to to many appliances on at once IE heater, kettle, very helpful the owner's came to reset it straight away. The bin is at the beginning of the drive around ½ a mile down the road (don't walk unless you want to get the steps in

Was not happy overall.

Bed not comfy. Waiting on water heating up for shower. Cleanliness throughout was bad.

Had such a wonderful team can’t thank the owner enough.

The location was amazing and the lodge was beautiful and the Hot Tub was great. Definitely going back and a big thank you to the owner. and the owner’s dog was beautiful.

Brilliant place to stay.

Lovely view. Had a go at archery. Would stay there again.

Excellent property nice and clean and in a lovely quiet location would definitely recommend

Lovely little lodge.

Great king bed and walk in shower. Fantastic hot tub. Lovely lake Outlook to the rear with picture window. Loads of activities if you want. Fishing shooting archery and much more

Lovely 2 night stay lodge is very cosy and well equipped.

Jay the owner was lovely and welcoming. Gorgeous view and surroundings.

This cottage was a disgrace, we were driving around trying to find it for over an hour, we had to ask somebody, and they told us it was 2 miles down this dirt track, so we find it, the floor was full of dust, cobwebs everywhere and grime in all corners, the cups in the cupboard had been drank out of, then instead of washing, were put straight back in cupboard, there was no t-towel,paint was peeling off bathroom skirting board, there was hair everywhere in the bedroom, pet hair and human hair, the carpet was thick with them, the bed was broken, and a block of wood was holding one end of the bed up, there was no pillow cases on some of the pillows, at 4.

30 am my partner had woken up and was covered head to toe in a rash, we packed up straight away and came home, it was a nightmare, we had tried contacting the phone number left in the lodge but it was never answered, i got in touch with sykes to get my money back, but could have to wait 30 days just for a reply,

We loved our 2 night stay, the weather wasn't on our side but you don't rely on sunshine when on holiday in Scotland.

We used the muti activity option also and loved that so would definitely recommend.

Lovely peaceful place to stay, plenty to do in area, beautiful views, nice clean cabin, lovely owner who was very helpful.

Our stay was amazing loved every minute and didn’t want to leave.

A very peaceful location and a very cosy lodge with a hot tub. We would love to stay again in the future.

Myself and my daughter had a lovely stay at Mallard on 29th/30th November.

Clean cosy and comfortable, also put Christmas tree up and a chocolate Santa which always ticks my box.
