The lodge had everything we needed during our stay, including fast, reliable internet access. Every bedroom had a comfortable double bed, plenty of storage and a TV. The main bedroom had a lovely ensuite with a walk-in shower, which was fabulous! The kitchen was well appointed, with a large fridge/freezer, a dish washer and microwave. The furnishings were really comfortable and the lodge had central heating for the cooler mornings. The owner had even supplied dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and a two pint semi-skimmed milk. The lodge has a large balcony, with views across to the lake and benefits from some fabulous sunsets. Although the site is very quiet, ideal for relaxing and destressing, there are plenty of attractions within 30 minutes driving, should you wish to venture out, especially National Trust locations. Ramsey is the nearest town with proper supermarkets, about 10 minutes drive away.
We knew about this lodge from staying on the campsite and knew it would be good, as we know how well the owner manages the campsite facilities. We would really recommend a stay here if you want to relax and chill out.
