A few things like missing a spatula etc could be improved but over all it was great

Lovely place to come and stay if you want to relax and unwind.

Pod was clean and spacious enough for two and a dog. The hot tub was well maintained and a welcome addition after a day of walking. 15 minutes walk to the nearest village with a shop and the buck inn pub, which the food was amazing and recommend. Will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone.

In a fantastic location even though the postcode does not bring you to the correct location.

Compared to others you get a lot for the money including underfloor heating, the lovely hot tub and large living area. Could do with having blinds over the main doors as people could see straight through to the bed and possibly a mattress topper as it could get uncomfortable but overall only tiny issues.

Could do with a lick of paint here and there but if your able to see passed that this is a beautiful place to stay.

It was a lovely lodge small but peaceful couldn’t get the Internet though hot tub was dirty but the owner cleaned it straight away but we got one day with not using the hot tub

The retreat was an amazing get away from the real world of work and the perfect place to switch off from life in the beautiful setting.

Just a couple of things that we thought would make it even better, if you’re staying for a few days we stayed for just over 4 days, take extra towels, there is only one and if you don’t you’ll be using the same one for the hot tub and for a shower. Maybe add some fresh bedding in the draws, for a change of bedding. I’d take some fly spray for the hot days, just to keep them away. And please take off that there is a BBQ we bought all food for a bbq as there was one advertised, but there wasn’t so had to go out and buy a bbq. The hot tub was well maintained and clean. As mentioned above it was the perfect getaway just need a few tweaks or be more transparent on the booking

Great property and very clean, only one thing to comment on was the bed as you can feel Springs on matress, a topper would solve that Very peaceful and relaxing in hot tub a bonus

The property was beautifull.

Lush tranquil and quiet with some beautifull views. I feel so relaxed now after staying there. Would recommend to anyone who needs a little time out and some peace and quiet. And Stanley the owner was so friendly and kind! Was an absoloutly pleasure to stay there and j will be back

blood on the bedding and the hot tub was absolutely beautiful, however, the water was blown on our final day, the owner was really nice but a little intrusive

Excellent experience so relaxing me and my partner came here for her birthday we enjoyed using the hot tub owners so friendly told us to treat it as are own home

Would be nice if we could have 2 towels each or a robe - one for the hottub and one for the shower if possible!

Gorgeous little stay, a perfect couples weekend away!

The holiday was absolutely perfect.

The only downside was television being unable to connect to streaming services and lacking a HDMI to connect our laptop or firestick.

Lovely place to stay and the hot tub was great.

We had a lovely weekend, the property had everything we needed, great quiet location, very relaxing, owners were nice and helpful if we needed anything they were just a phone call away.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Retreat.

The accommodation was modern, clean, and cosy. The location was quiet and secluded which was ideal for relaxing expecially with the wonderful hot tub outside. The bed was so comfortable it was like being in a 5 star hotel. The shower was perfect after a day walking and exploring the countryside. We thought the bread, milk and the little jar of dog treats were a thoughful little touch. The electric fire soon warmed up and made the room cosy and warm. Locally the village of Bangor on Dee is a short walk away which has a village shop and 2 pubs (The Buck and The Royal Oak) We visited both pubs during our stay but it is worth mentioning that The Buck does not serve food on Mondays or Tuesdays and The Royal Oak doesnt open at all on Mondays or Tuesdays. Both pubs are very welcominging and dog friendly. Overall we had a fantastic time at The Retreat and we would definately recommend a stay here. Would we return?....absolutely and we will be booking again sometime soon.
