We have stayed here before but in a different lodge (puffin) this time we were in the gull lodge.
On arrival we noticed there was a lot of dog hair on the floor, also the sliding doors there were a lot of dog nose marks on the windows. We understand dogs are allowed to stay in this accommodation but don’t feel it was cleaned thoroughly enough. Under the beds there was a juice bottle and other rubbish also under the sofas the floor was really dirty. We bought a mop as there wasn’t one in the property, and as the weather was bad we needed to mop the floor daily due to it being wet. Other than that we came back as the location is great beautiful views and walks, the lodges are very spacious and comfortable. The only thing is my husband is 6’2” and struggled with the bed whereas I found it very comfortable.
Great base to explore the coast, amazing views from the lodge, walking distance to the pub in port Gaverne,it comfortably slept 5 of us and was clean and tidy when we arrived .
It provided everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay!, plenty of space to exercise your dog in the field attached to the lodge, although we had to keep our Cocker on a leed because of the free roaming ducks!!, would stay again
The photographs are misleading.
They make the property appear bigger than it is . Our party was 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs and it really was a squeeze.
