Can not recommend this place highly enough.

Stunning location. I viewed birds I had never seen before. immaculate accommodation, like a home from home with everything you can think you may need and more. Lovely personal added extras. Welcoming and accomodating owner. We just had an amazing time here and did not want to leave.

Great location with super views of sea and down Cornwall coastline.

Very private and peaceful. Only noise from wildlife and the sea. Lovely garden area and patio, with outdoor furniture to sit and lay out on. Hot tub very nice. Smart clean comfortable hut, although lack of wardrobe and shelving for clothes. Definitely recommended, we will return when favourable rental price and good weather weather coincide.

From the moment we arrived the accommodation and views did not disappoint.

Andrea was a delight and was helpful about the area. Due to the heat a lot of our plans for excursions didn't happen But didn't spoil the holiday. It was nice to relax and enjoy the views and accomodation. Hot tub very good as well. We cooked jackets on the fire pit had with chicken and salad with chilled cider. and the proscecco from the welcome pack was also welcome. We also had amazing thunderstorm. Spectacular! We would recommend Crooklets Beach. Check tides needs to be low. Beach Cafe right next to it as well as toilets. Also Rosies Kitchen. I could say more but you need to go and see and experience yourself.

This property is absolutely gorgeous may look small but is the best equipped self catering place we have ever been - and we holiday a lot!

We met the owner and she was so sweet. It’s on a big farm with no noise (except the odd moo) and loads of privacy. The decor and cleanliness of the property was great. We’ve just stayed in the heatwave and the owner gave us plenty of fans and we were never warm even at night. Wish we could have stayed longer we will come back again.

Northcott hut is in an excellent position, so quiet and peaceful.

The views are amazing. The hut is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the hosts have thought of everything their guests could need. The hot tub was fantastic and exceptionally maintained. Andrea very kindly left some added extras for our stay, which was a very lovely gesture and most appreciated . It is an absolute pleasure to stay there. Thank you so much for an wonderful stay.

What a find!

My partner and I have just spent a week in the hut for my 50th birthday and we couldn’t have asked for more. Everything you could possibly need was provided and more. A little bit of luxury with the most amazing view of the sea. Everything was spotless, all facilities were of a high standard and the complimentary bubbles and chocolate were a lovely touch. Andrea couldn’t have been more helpful. We had the most lovely time.

What a lovely place to stay.

It’s so peaceful with nobody else around. The owner came every morning to clean hot tub. She was so was the only person we saw and she was very nice. Can’t wait to go back.

The visit was absolutely spectacular, the view from the Hut was gorgeous in all Cornish weather we had in our stay.

The accommodation is well thought out and designed perfectly, and questions you have is all in the booklet if not the host, Andrea, very friendly and a lovely lady. The hot tub was perfectly maintained and the log burner is an amazing touch especially the heat and the smell it brings Altogether a fantastic experience and can not wait to go back :)

It had everything that we needed. It was warm and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing, even in really cold weather. The view of the sea was lovely and the hut was very private. The welcome pack and birthday balloon was a lovely touch by the owner. Very kind. A perfect getaway. We will return. Highly recommend.

Northcott Hut is a hidden gem set in the beautiful countryside.

It’s very cosy and comfortable with wonderful views. It is beautiful inside and out and we have already booked to go again next Christmas (2026). The Hut has everything you need for the perfect relaxing getaway. Paul & Jen (December 2025)

It was amazing one of the best time we ever had me and my wife for our anniversary.

It was lovely clean had everything we needed we traveled from Manchester to there for our getaway and it was the best decision we ever made. The owners was amazing whenever we needed anything they was their immediately. Everyday the owner used to clean the hot tub for us every morning which was nice. The view of this getaway was astonishing never seen a more beautiful view like that before the cows around the hill the ocean from your bed view night time camp fire on and bbq it was like living the dream. Overall I would vouch and recommend everyone who’s thinking about staycation to visit this and experience this trip. Price on the pricy side but overall 10/10 stars

I really do not wish to give a rave review about the place as I would love to keep this gem selfishly to myself!! Don’t scroll it, book it, as you will not regret it. Location, accommodation and owners communication all seamless. Enjoy the experience.

Beautiful accommodation, pristine condition and the view was spectacular!

Lots of attention to detail from the well equipped kitchen to the blankets to sit outside and enjoy the quiet. My husband and I had a weekend away to celebrate some special birthdays and a wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. We’ll definitely be returning

This is our third visit to Northcutt hut, Andrea goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay, we’d asked for some additional decorations and she exceeded expectations and made it effortless to arrange as well as look amazing making the week feel even more special!

The property and its location were both absolutely perfect.

We had a lovely couple of days away, with tons of amenities very close by - almost everything was a less than 10 minute drive away. The property itself is beautiful, with tons of little touches and accessories so you don’t have to think about a thing! We had the most wonderful time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Northcott Hut.

we absolutely loved everything about this property the location is just incredible, the views are breathtaking , we met the owner who is absolutely lovely , the only thing we found was clothes storage there are stacker boxes under the bed but i wear a lot of dresses and had nowhere to hang them, but other than that it was perfect.

Where do I start !

We had the most amazing couple of days ,Andrea was so helpful and welcoming with directions before we even arrived , as soon as we got there we fell in love with the place it’s so quiet , the hut has everything you could possibly need and more there was even a thoughtful pint of milk and even better prosseco, crisps and chocolate , the hot tub was spotless as was everything , we will definitely return

Absolutely fantastic property with everything catered for and thought of .

Outstanding views all round especially to the sea. Totally peaceful and away from everything. Excellent base to explore the area with good pubs and restaurants a short drive away. Owners fantastic and friendly and available if required. Lovey welcome pack provided. All in all a gorgeous place to stay, we loved it. Would give it six stars if possible. Our first ever stay in a Shepherds Hut and Northcott Hut exceeded our expectations.

The owners Andrea and Richard have thought of everything to make a stay at Northcott Hut extra special. The decor is stunning along with the amazing view , totally private surrounded by open fields and the extra luxury of the hot tub. We were greeted by Andrea who is so warm and welcoming and the extra touch of a welcome basket which included a bottle of fizz and a balloon to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hut is ideally located to explore the many coves and beaches with the local pub the Preston Gate nearby which has excellent food. We will definately be booking again. A massive thank you to Andrea and Richard for a very special holiday. Highly recommend

This was such a delightful stay.

The host, Andrea was very helpful and available to ensure we could find the hut easily on arrival. The hut was gorgeously decorated and had everything we could possibly need. It was also located in the most private and beautiful setting. We can't wait to return already! Thank you very much.

Northcutt Hut is a little piece of Cornish heaven.

We've just left after a long weekend stay for our first wedding anniversary and my goodness what a beautiful spot. Everything from the warm welcome from Andrea, to the incredible sunset views and the beautiful hut was better than we ever could have imagined. Stargazing from the hot tub, watching the sunset over the cliffs and lazy mornings in the hut- blissful! A perfectly romantic retreat. Highly recommend- you'll be blown away.

What a wonderful place!

Want for nothing. Wish we'd booked an extra night. We did 3 nights and couldn't fault a thing. So clean and well looked after, amazing view and all facilities you may require. Loved every minute, especially sinking into the hot tub, after a day exploring Tintagel and other brilliant places around. 10/10. Will be returning :)

We would highly recommend this peaceful, warm and comfortable retreat close to beaches and coastal walks, as well as being near the town by car for shops and services.

Perfect!

We spent our honeymoon in the hut and it was perfect. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly want or need. And even left us a card and balloon to say congratulations. The underfloor heating and log burner were great for the cold February! We plan on returning in the warmer weather.

Northcott was stunning.

The hut was pristine, we couldn't fault it. You can tell that alot of time and money has been spent and no corners were cut with the quality of everything. The scenery is just beautiful, you can sit in the hot tub and star gaze to your hearts content. Andrea is a lovely hostess, replied promptly to any messages we sent before our stay. Greeted us at the hut on arrival with the keys and had lights on/heating on in the hut ready for our arrival. We had a truly wonderful weekend break. Thankyou!

When we walked in the Hut smelt beautiful and was spotlessly clean with a lovely basket of goodies to welcome us and a vase of roses.

It is so lovely, amazingly comfy bed, great shower and there was nothing we needed that wasn’t there. Andrea has thought of everything. The position of the Hut is idyllic, so private and quiet with stunning views. The hot tub is a gorgeous treat. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would very highly recommend it.

A True Hidden Gem My wife surprised me with a stay at the Northcott Hut in Cornwall for my 40th birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience.

Situated on a secluded family-run farm with picturesque views of the sea, this shepherd's hut is a true hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, Andrea was the perfect host, ensuring every detail was taken care of. She even organized a balloon and a bottle of bubbles for my birthday, which was a delightful touch. The hut itself is wonderfully appointed, with all the facilities one could need. The log burner was perfect for the cooler months, creating a cozy winter retreat, while the outdoor BBQ and beautiful outdoor jacuzzi made for a perfect summer escape. The jacuzzi can be used all year round, and with the outdoor burner, evenings become even cozier as you watch the beautiful stars. Sun loungers are also provided for those sunny days. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the cosy blankets for evening outdoor seating around the log fire to the robes and premium toiletries provided. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a BBQ with fresh fish from the local fishmongers, making the evening even more special as we watched the sunset. If you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway in Bude, look no further. The photos don’t do justice to the stunning views, especially at sunset. Northcott Hut is truly a perfect blend of comfort, seclusion, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!

Wow, what can I say, other than wow.

Northcott is simply beautiful. In 48 hours we experienced most weather conditions available in the UK, and it just didn’t matter…. Andrea and her husband have done such an amazing job with this hut that I don’t want to give it full 5* reviews for fear of not being able to book it again. From arriving with ice in the ice cube tray, and not just an empty tub, to everything else about it. The only negative I can give the whole experience is the photos supplied used by Sykes in the literature, they don’t do justice to the stunning sea views. This place is genuinely out of this world. And so restful too. WE WILL BE BACK!

We have just come back from a weekend break to Northcott Hut.

Andrea and her family have excelled in providing an absolutely breathtaking, romantic break. The views are absolutely stunning and the Hut was beautiful- very clean and exceptionally comfortable and every part of the hut had attention to detail. We visited Bude and had a lovely meal at Toro Tapas on Saturday evening and then had a lovely roast on Sunday at the Brendon arms and the rest of the time was spent soaking up the beautiful countryside. We would highly recommend this stay to any couples looking for a romantic trip away and 100% will book to go back. Thank you so much x

Beautiful hut with great facilities, the shower is powerful and the bed super comfy , not to mention the view from the bed in the morning.

The owners have thought of everything from a welcome hamper to robe and slippers for to and from the hot tub.

We adored Northcott Hut!

! From arrival Andrea was so welcoming and so lovely to communicate with regarding keys and general enquiries. The plot of land is breathtaking and you do feel completely isolated from everyone and anyone. We loved that we could sit outside or in the hot tub and every now and then hear a sheep or the cows chatting. It was also extraordinary that we drove through the working farm and got to see them moving the cows, that was a huge highlight for us. The facilities with the hut were incredible, Andrea and family have thought of everything you could possibly need and more, from loungers and bbq if it’s sunny to the under floor heating and scrabble if it’s a bit chilly. I cannot praise this little family business more. We will 1000% be returning to Northcott Hut in the future.
