“Our stay was ruined by the inadequate description of the property, which clearly suggested that the pool was included in the price of the stay, and that other attractions were additional charges, which is understandable.”

When we got there, it turned out that everything was included in the price and nothing was included in the price of the stay. This information should have been clearly stated in the description. If it had been, we would never have chosen this property. In addition, we found the property in a poor condition, dirty and smelly. For this price you can rent a beautiful caravan in Haven or another holiday park with full access to the pools and still have ÂŁ200 in your pocket. Don't be fooled like we ...

Don't be fooled like we were, and Sykes washed his hands of it. We are completely disappointed because we thought we were good customers of Sykes. Oh well, never again! I do not recommend!

Thank you very much, Mrs Surmaczyska, for staying in our chalet, Sandpiper. We were so sorry to hear that your stay was spoiled because of the misunderstanding about Haven’s Facilities Pass. The site owners’ rules governing the public’s use of their Pass, tend to vary year by year, but for some time now Haven have expressly forbidden third party use of their Pass. Put simply, whoever purchases the pass, enters into a legal and binding contract with the holiday park’s owners. This governs accident insurance, compensation and various other legal conditions. Thus if chalet owners were to provide a Haven’s Pass, it would be they who would be legally bound by, and receive all of the benefits of,the pass. For this reason, Haven expressly stipulate that their Pass must NOT be used by anyone who has not purchased it for their own, and their family’s use. Virtually all previous guests have read, understood and accepted Haven’s ruling on this matter but nevertheless, we are grateful that you have drawn our attention to the possible ambiguous wording of the site owner’s rules concerning this matter. Notwithstanding this disappointment, we hope that you and your family, enjoyed some aspects of your stay in “ Sandpiper “ Property Owner

About the location

PERRANPORTH

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.

Note: On-site facilities include surfing school, pools, sports bar, climbing wall, cashless arcade, nature trail, bar, restaurant, café and shop,a pass can be purchased from reception allowing access to them all.
