Nice house in very quiet location but close enough to everything.

Plenty of parking and outdoor space and with really nice hosts we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

what a lovely property , very clean , very comfortable , everything you need for a wonderful holiday .

Set in beautiful surroundings very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle , a lovely welcoming pack which was very well received very thoughtful of Nicola & Stephen . All in all a very enjoyable stay , thank you .

Had a really great stay in this beautiful lodge, it was perfect!

We managed to book another week for the latter part of the year before we left. Although we’re an older couple this lodge would also be great for a large family. We celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary whilst there and the owners were so kind and left a card and cake for us . We had a very lovely week there and will definitely be back .

This is our second stay.

It is a lovely lodge set in beautiful countryside, if you want peace and tranquility this is the place. It is really spacious and cleanliness is clearly very important to the owners. Highly recommended

A beautiful property.

Very quiet and peaceful location yet within easy reach of both the north and south coast of Cornwall and easy to walk from the property to several local prehistoric sights. We loved the wide open views and starry skies at night. We had great days out in the area but always loved coming back to the property which was warm and cosy as soon as you opened the door. It was very relaxing having televisions in all the bedrooms and super comfy beds. And we enjoyed using all the high quality equipment in the kitchen for cooking dinner and relaxing on the huge leather reclining sofa in the evenings. We would love to return. We had a fabulous holiday.

We love this place and have been drawn back so many times over the years, it's heaven.

Would the owners ever consider a picket fence around the rear and sides of the lodge so that your dogs can roam freely? Hope to be back soon

The property was absolutely fantastic the interior decor we loved and was well thought out with all the matching little themes, the property had everything you needed was very clean.

Outside the views were amazing and the highlight was the alpacas stood at the fence every morning to greet you. The cakes and biscuits was a lovely touch to arrive to after a long travel and the children loved the alpaca themed gifts. A few family members bumped into the owners whilst out and about and said the where lovely and informative but at the same time they gave you your privacy. Fantastic stay will definitely return in the future!

An amazing stay in a fully equipped lodge in the middle of rural Cornwall.

The welcome pack (tea, coffee, tea, milk, biscuits and cake) was very welcome. We've already booked next year's stay. The owners are lovely and welcoming.

Fantastic holiday lodge , perfect location, well equipped, loved the finishing touches like the Cake and the chocolates and milk in the Fridge it was lovely , will definitely book again.

Lovely property, not far from local attractions.

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely look at returning again!

This is our 2nd stay at Chywolow Lodge (Stayed in Oct 2020) .

We absolutely loved it. Everything is home from home. The bed was so comfortable. The power of the water is amazing. Running a bath in 2 minutes was fantastic. Thankyou for the welcome package. Also the extra bottle of Prosecco due to one of the showers not working. We would definitely consider a 3rd visit.

a picture of the real Cornwall…,.lots of new equipment this year. Exotic animals in the field and The Gurnard’s Head is only a couple of miles away! (The owners are lovely too!)

Absolutely amazing lodge was looked after by owners nothing to much trouble.

The place was amazing beds comfy all mod cons they even left cake biscuits tea bags and coffee and milk for us on arrival. Would definitely go back

A lovely, spacious property with beautiful countryside views.

The wooden building has a cosy, homely feel, and it is very well-equipped. Being able to take dogs is a real bonus — ours loved their time there. The Lodge is within easy reach of St Just and Penzance, with St Ives, Hayle and Porthcurno just a little further on. If you're interested in ancient history, there are several local sites that are well worth a visit: Chun Castle, Chysauster, and Carn Euny to name but a few. Definitely recommended.

Lovely property.

Fantastic for 2 families to share. Owner left some biscuits, cake, coffee, tea milk etc which was much appreciated after a long journey. Property had everything you could need for a stay. Thank you once again!

We had another amazing stay at Chywolow.

It is a beautiful lodge surrounded by glorious countryside. Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly want. All the appliances are high end and well maintained.The owners kept in touch with us and were very thoughtful. It was a perfect family holiday.

The lodge itself was excellent.

The only issue we would mention is the access to the lodge from the "main road". This last 5 minutes drive along a single track road is quite challenging with limited (no) signage to the lodge.

There was several things that wasn't working, damaged or missing.

There was no information about this. It should be written down so we are aware these.

I love the environment……rural none commercial Cornwall at its finest The lodge has all the comfort requirements you could want and all the notable spots to visit are easily accessible.

Don’t be put off by the abandoned poly tunnels and open fields…..for us it all added to the magic of wild Cornwall…..fabulous having some exotic animals in the next field .

this property was amazing so comfortable and such an amazing location so quiet, and watching all the rabbits and wild birds was such a joy we also saw foxes in the evening we all slept so very well it was a truly relaxing holiday and would be very pleased to book again.

the only thing needed was a visitor book to wright down all the lovely things we thought of the lodge.

We absolutely loved staying at chywolow lodge.

It has everything that you could possibly need or want. I would highly recommend. There was 6 adults 1 teenager and 1 toddler in our party and we never felt on top of each other the space was brilliant. Beds were very comfortable. Sofa’s were excellent. We all said we could easily live there it was perfect. And the welcome pack was such a lovely touch. We will definitely stay again!!!

Lovely property fantastic open plan kitchen/dining and living space.

Such comfortable chairs and great tv s not just in this area but also the bedrooms. Plenty of space inside and out and lovely to see alpaca s, emu and a pony wandering in the next field to the property . Very quiet spot and remote location perfect for switching off and relaxing

Very clean, comfy and cosy in a stunning location.Everything you can think of and more is within the accommodation- Interior is modern and recliner chairs are great! Photos don’t do it justice. Lots of space both indoor and outdoor, very private and peaceful area. A central location for the likes of St ives, Gwithian, Marazoin.

Cabin is off the beaten track but beautiful views and very peaceful.

Chywolow Lodge is a lovely welcoming property set in an idyllic part of West Cornwall.

The large furnished patio and extensive grounds face out onto stunning Penwith moorland and the interior is both spacious and comfortable. We also had the most comprehensive Welcome Basket provided on our arrival that we’ve had anywhere which was a lovely and generous gesture. Few holiday properties warrant a return visit in the future but this is certainly one to use again when we’re next in the Penzance area. Many thanks to the owners for their hospitality and assistance.

What can I say

We really enjoyed our stay but just for feedback as we weren’t sure whether you were aware, the WiFi was down for probably more than 50% of the time and the TV in the Master bedroom whilst able to get some channels was pixelating badly on many.

I am sure this is just one of the consequences of living in such a beautifully rural setting and it did not spoil our holiday

Chywolow Lodge is a fantastic, spacious property.

Everything there that you could possibly need to make your holiday amazing. Great outdoor space for dogs. Very peaceful and relaxing. Fantastic welcome basket - very thoughtful. Would definitely stay here again!

We (a family of five) truly enjoyed our vacation in Chywolow Lodge.

The house is far away from the hustle and bustle in beautiful scenic landscape. Still, all the interesting places can be reached by a short drive. The house is spacious, fully equipped and absolutely clean. (We wanted to give five stars, but for some reason the system allows only four.)

We had a fab two weeks at chywolow lodge from arrival the cabin was really clean and spacious everything we needed for our holiday was there defiantly recommend if you want peace a quiet beautiful .

Although the property was lovely and the views were stunning we feel maybe a mention in future of how isolated the property is which added further distance to our day's out.

What a beautiful lodge and the grounds that came with it!

We absolutely loved it! My daughter's loved seeing the alpacas and pony everyday! The lodge was clean and had everything you could possibly need from iron, hair dryers in every room, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc. We can't wait to book again, so peaceful. Thank you both and thank you for the little welcome hamper too it was greatly appreciated!

We have stayed here a few times.

It is quite remote so transport is essential. Excellent accommodation. Clean and comfortable. A total getaway from busy lives. We will be going back.

Loved out stay at Chywolow Lodge.

The lodge was very clean, well equipped with lots of lovely clean glasses and a great number of dinner plates, cutlery etc *which I am guessing were all new in response to an earlier review) and the space was amazing, there were 8 of us which included 2 children. It was very peaceful and the outside space was great too, especially for the dog. A very generous welcome pack was waiting for us on arrival and Nicola is on hand if you need her but leaves you to enjoy your holiday. We have stayed at the other smaller property, Carne Vue, and we felt exactly the same about that holiday. We would certainly recommend both of these holiday cottages to friends and we plan to return. What a beautiful lodge, literally in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

We just loved our stay, the perfect place and setting!

The layout of the Lodge is ideal for a family get together. The Lodge had all the essentials needed to support our needs. The grandchildren had a view of the Alpachas, pony and the Rhias when outdoors much to their delight. The roads leading to the lodge are narrow but not to be phased by that as drivers are very careful and there are many passing places. A great holiday was had by all!

Chywolow Lodge is a special place that after 4 stays I still come away looking forward to my next stay.

Its location is tucked away in the Cornish countryside, it has beautiful walks close by, the facilities are excellent and the welcome from Nicola is 1st class service. On each visit I have come away feeling refreshed, relaxed and I have made so many happy memories at Chywolow that I will cherish forever. My parents loved the calming feel of the place, my young boys loved the open space and animals close by, you really couldn't ask for a better place to stay. I thank you because for me and my family this is truly what holidays are made of.

Beautiful lodge set in stunning scenery.

Felt still. In the middle of nowhere! Quality appliances, spacious & thought through designs.eg. TV in all bedrooms. Animals in the garden entertained our grandchildren no end! Plenty of sofas/chairs etc. Excellent shower facilities. Areas for improvement include more and decent cutlery. Some crockery chipped. And replacements of cloudy through constant dish washing, glasses which are horrible ascetically. Small things which detract from the ‘classines’ of the property. But overall well appointed & lovely modern home from home in a stunning setting. We loved the time spent here.

The lodge was everything we could have hoped for.

Spacious, clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed it's location. It was in a lovely, quiet location but not too far to the shops or beach. Only slight concern was the narrow lanes on approach but most of the time we were the only vehicles going up and down them. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

The approach road to the property was difficult due to width and overgrown hedges.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chywolow Lodge.

COVID-19 prepared inside the lodge. Very spacious and everything you need. The welcome pack was appreciated. Storm Alex was outside, but we were lovely and cosy inside. Plenty of space in the kitchen to store all your food. Heated kitchen and bathroom floors were lovely. Saw a few animals in the field. Our Springer Spaniel thoroughly enjoyed running around outside in the field. Thank you for a fantastic two week holiday. Will we definitely return in the future.

When we arrived we were so shocked at how isolated the lodge was, nothing but fields.

It was absolutely beautiful, peaceful. The lodge itself had all the mod-cons and very very spacious- couldn't believe the size! All bedrooms big and with TVs. Double bedrooms were king size! Remote controlled velux windows which I thought was very cool! The lodge was very clean and due to everything going on at the moment I was feeling slightly apprehensive about staying but when we arrived and checked it all out I was so happy. The lodge was spotless and everything was cleaned to such a high standard. Lovely outdoor furniture, I often sat on the swing with my coffee in the morning. Lovely walks nearby and the beach was beautiful! Overall we had a lovely time as a family which we needed! We will definitely be looking into staying here again. What a wonderful place a real gem.

Its is in a lovely quiet location but it is also not far to drive to reach other places and many beautiful beaches. The lodge exceeded our expectations. Bedrooms well equipped and comfortable TV in every room. Kitchen very well equipped everything we needed. Owners left welcome pack on arrival of milk tea coffee cake biscuits a very nice touch. For larger families it's excellent value.

We liked the quietness and the cup cakes on arrival went down a storm with the youngsters!

The ovenware was immaculate and easy to use with all the foil linings...well done who thought of that. Toiletries linen...all very good... one t.v. Zapper was missing,replaced but without batteries but we watched very little as the weather was good and we weren’t in that much. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place owned by nice people.

One or two minor faults, which we have mentioned to the owners. Would recommend it if the faults are addressed.

The property was ideal for what we wanted It was very spacious, clean and comfortable for our party of 7 adults.

The only noise we heard was the wind. There were good walks from the property and it was close to many of the tourist centres eg. Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End etc

Wonderful location, just have to be careful when driving down the long lane to the accommodation due to narrow road and high hedges.

The lodge was lovely and so quiet, a great retreat from a busy work life, the only downfall is the very narrow 4 mile road into Penzance, never the less a lovely property, we had family from Australia join us and they also had a great couple of days.

The lodge was fabulous.

The lane leading up to the lodge was a bit scary as you could not see traffic coming the other way. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. It was lovely to go to bed to a completely dark room with no lights on the roads etc. All in all it was a completely chilled holiday and the 2 dogs really enjoyed it as well.

A fantastic lodge.

We were a family of three generations and two dogs and it was perfect for all. The set up of the accommodation was excellent as it gives space and privacy to everyone. The outside space was a great bonus with young children. We much appreciated all the information about local and coastal walks. Top notch in every way!

Only one small problem with the heating and following a telephone call, it was dealt with, within minutes.

Very clean, good location.

We received a welcome pack on arrival which was a very nice surprise. The cabin was in a good location very central to explore from. The road to the cabin was very narrow so I was glad that we had a small car. There were some alpacas at the bottom of the garden which were very friendly and other animals in the centre which the kids could pet. Plenty of room in the cabin for socialising, the BBQ was a little small to cook on for 7 people. All in all a great place to stay.

Such a good holiday - second time in the same cottage and we've already rebooked for next year!

The lodge was great.

It had so many different things left out for us to help such as dishwasher tablets, washing tablets, biscuits, a cake, tea and coffee so that we could move straight in. We only had one niggle and it was sorted out within minutes. Owners were lovely. we will definitely book again

The lodge was absolutely brilliant, nestled in the Cornish countryside.

Just one lodge on its own on the farm which belonged to the owners. The children were able to watch the llama's and donkeys being fed and visit the parrots rabbit's and chinchillas. What was remarkable is everything worked in the lodge w/machine dishwasher and tumble dryer, this was a boom with two young grandchildren. I would thoroughly recommend it and would definitely go again.

THE LODGE WAS WONDERFUL.

VERY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND VERY WELL EQUIPPED. EVERYTHING WORKED WELL AND WAS OF VERY GOOD QUALITY. THE SURROUNDINGS WERE EXCELLENT BEARING IN MIND WE HAD 2 DOGS. WE WOULD DEFIANTLY RETURN AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS LODGE TO ANYONE.

The cottage was lovely, quiet and well equipped.
