Lovely comfortable and cosy shepherd's hut.

We found the accommodation second to none Ideal location, peaceful & picturesque exactly as it it says on the tin.

A couple of things extra in the hut would have been ideal, a pair of scissors, microwavable pots, a larger fridge as there is space for one. A hand rail at the door as we found them a tad steep and had to hang onto the door. A hot tub would have been nice as the other hut had one. Overall we had an amazing week, and would highly recommend

My partner and I were super impressed with the attention to detail. Beautiful spot next to the lake and even the ducks came to say hello every morning! The inside was really cosy and the added touch of the hot chocolate velvetiser was just perfect after our late night arrival! Close enough to fistral beach as well where we visited our friends. Can’t fault anything, we’re already planning our next stay here! :)

Lovely shepherd’s hut!

The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Lovely location and loved opening the top of the door to see the pretty pond in the mornings! There was an issue about accuracy of listing regarding fishing available. The owner was very good about this and sorted this out for my husband! (Thank you, this made his holiday!) A couple of niggles, the fridge is not located within the units any more and the side is quite rusty on the side. The outside of the hut was a little cobwebby but I did see the owner cleaning the outside of the other hut just before the end of our holiday, so presumably out hut was done too!

We had a lovely stay at Gwithian Shepherds hut.

Perfect location to explore Hayle and St Ives. The hut was very thoughtfully done, and had all the facilties we needed for the weekend. Only downside was in the evenings there was an unpleasant smell coming from outside which meant we weren't able to open the windows/ doors which was dissapointing.

The property had everything we needed, was very clean and the welcome biscuits were a lovely gesture too!

All the information for check in was easy to understand. Very comfy and cosy place, just what we needed. We really appreciated the help in getting something back to us after we accidentally left in the property. Top marks :)

Gwithian is a lovely peaceful Shepherd's Hut next to the pond, where the ducks come and greet you.

Pretty site, and lovely to sit outside for lunch.

Beautiful and unique property in tranquil surroundings.

The hut had everything needed for a short break and was amazingly well stocked! Having an evening drink out by the pond on a sunny day was exactly what was needed from our holiday. The only thing to note is that any pub is at least a 30 minute walk away which makes going out for dinner slightly difficult if both parties want to drink. Nevertheless would heartily recommend the St Ives Brewery close by for an evening tipple!

Higher step to get into bed needed other than that best retreat I have had for year's,lovely . At 83 years old I have found my little place for peace and quiet just the birds and nature oh and my wife

Really nice, well equipped, clean shepherds hut in lovely grounds.

Run by nice helpful people. Positioned well for beaches, Hayle and St Ives and many other attractions.

Gwithian Shepherds Hut was perfect.

The little fishing lake in front was lovely and it's a great place to sit out with a book and chill. The location is great too, very close to St Ives and a short drive to lots of beaches, The Lizard and St Michaels Mount etc. The park and ride for St Ives is also a short drive away and the coast bus stops there too which is a good option for walking parts of the SW coast path. Fantastic holiday, great place to stay, spotlessly clean and the site is beautiful.

The shepherds hut had everything we needed and we loved the peace and quiet of the surroundings. The host was very welcoming. It was also.a good location to explore the area and visit the beautiful beaches. We both said we would like to return.

Absolutely perfect, we could happily live there!

We loved our stay at Gwithian Shepherds Hut.

The hut is absolutely pristine and more spacious than we thought it would be. It’s set in beautiful surroundings and is so peaceful, we both slept like a log. One tiny improvement would be the addition of a small wok or deep frying pan to cook up a one dish meal as there is no oven and only a 2 ring hob. There’s only a shallow frying pan and saucepan, enough to make a fry up but that’s about it. Other than that we can’t fault it and would definitely stay again. Alan and his wife were great hosts and took the trouble to make sure everything was all okay for us
