“We had a lovely stay at bay view, it was nice and clean when we arrived and had a gorgeous view.”

Loved the log burner, they had some games and dvds to use which was a nice touch. Decor was lovely - bed comfy - lots of pillows - blinds & curtains really good. Jacuzzi was fab and lovely view along with it - a little cover over decking could be an added bonus for when it's raining and want to still be outside to enjoy the views. A few things we want to mention - we couldn't control the temperature (other than turning off the radiators in the bathroom) so the house was really warm so we had ...

A few things we want to mention - we couldn't control the temperature (other than turning off the radiators in the bathroom) so the house was really warm so we had to have windows and doors open, especially when cooking. Fire poker set would be helpful to be able to move logs and put them in without burning yourself. Outdoor lights didn't work initially but after contacting the owners they sent someone round who fixed them which was great. It would have been helpful to have a map in the booklet to know where bins / gym / spa is as we had to walk around the block to find it ourselves and there aren’t any signs either on site (site flaw not the owners fault). Shower in spare bathroom not very hot compared to en suite shower room. Our biggest flaw would be the parking spots - you only get one per house and with 6 guests who might have 3 cars this isn’t ideal. We were lucky the neighbours weren’t staying when we were so could use their space (we had 2 cars). Otherwise we had a lovely stay, would highly recommend to others and if the little issues mentioned above were added I think would make this place amazing! ☺️

About the location

PORTREATH

Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.

Please note, between the 5th January 2026 and 6th February 2026, The Terrace Restaurant and Golf Course will be closed.
