Description

The Black Barnacle is a fabulous lodge in Portreath, situated in the popular county of Cornwall.

This property is perfect for a group of friends or a family looking for a getaway as it boasts a hot tub, a woodburning stove in the open-plan living area, and a private roof terrace with amazing sea views.

Walk up a few steps to enter the contemporary open-plan living area.

Choose from the corner or normal sofa to sit back and indulge in the holiday vibe.

Make your way to the kitchen area to find everything you need for a lovely self-catered stay.

Let the chef of the group do their thing with an electric oven and induction hob on hand.

Plate the food up at the dining table to share some laughs as you tuck in.

In the afternoon, head outside, then dabble in some alfresco dining on the garden decking.

Head upstairs onto the roof terrace to take in the majestic sea views as you wash your dinner down with a drink or two.

Top off the evening with a dip in the hot tub when the sun sets.

If the evening breeze sends a shiver down your spine, then head back indoors to warm up by the woodburning stove.

All agree on a show to watch on the Smart TV for some evening entertainment.

When a yawn comes along, make your way to one of the three neatly presented bedrooms.

A king-size bed with a wall-mounted Smart TV and an en-suite shower room, a twin which can be made into a king-size bed, and another twin are on offer, both with TVs for those morning lie-ins.

In the mornings, have a refreshing shower or an immaculate soak in the family bathroom.

Lose track of time by watching a show on the built-in TV in the bath.

A shop is a short drive away, whilst a restaurant is on-site for a drink out.

In Portreath, be sure to have a day out on the beach, feeling the waves trickle against your toes, take on one another at the Famous Nine Golf course, or have a stroll around the pretty harbour.

In Truro, explore the eye-catching cathedral, take in the pretty sights around the Victoria Gardens, or walk along the Roseland Heritage Coast.

Slightly further afield in Falmouth, view some interesting exhibits at the Falmouth Art Gallery, take in the historic Pendennis Castle or visit the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

A holiday to remember awaits at The Black Barnacle, so be sure to book now.

The Black Barnacle is a beautifully furnished, comfortable accommodation that is fully equipped with everything we needed for a self catering holiday.

Jon, the owner, was particularly helpful and communicative in providing useful information ahead of our stay and then being available by phone during our stay. I would highly recommend The Black Barnacle for a stress free stay in beautiful surroundings.

I’d highly recommend staying at The Black Barnacle.

We stayed there for a week and had the most amazing time. The whole place is absolutely stunning, the roof top terrace is beautiful and relaxing, the sofa and beds are comfortable, there’s many Amazon echo’s throughout the whole apartment and there’s even a T.V at the end of the bath! The host is lovely and very helpful. There’s many places to visit in the area such as the harbour which is only a 10 minute walk away, and a 30/40 minute drive to places such as St Ives, Newquay, Perranporth, Truro and Falmouth. I’d also recommend visiting HangLoose if you’re into adrenaline type activities!
