Kingfisher Lodge

This lodge has the Wow factor as soon as you walk in.

Ideal for anyone with limited mobility everything on one level and easy carparking. The lodge was well equipped for self catering. Beautiful ( short) walks around the lakes, the hosts were great, respected our privacy but when about they had great fishing and local knowledge. We would love to return, the site is so quiet and restful....with easy access to local beaches and Eden project. Thank you for a great break.

Great, peaceful and secluded spot but also just a short drive for lots of things to do.

It is perfect! The lodge had everything you could possibly need and it was so relaxing. I loved my early morning and evening walks around the lakes. Lots of wildlife to enjoy too. Thankyou, Dave and Theresa, for making us feel welcome and at home.

The lodge was beautifully presented, very clean and the owners supplied a wonderful welcome hamper. We will most definitely be booking to stay again.

We had a extremely comfortable stay at Kingfisher lodge.

It is situated in lovely countryside yet close to St Austell etc No WiFi is available, however we occasionally did get a weak signal. This could be seen as a blessing to have a peaceful holiday.

Kingfisher Lodge is very clean to perfection. Dave and the dogs are warm and welcoming. The lakes around the lodge gives it calming effect and great sport for fishing. We will go back and recommend it to friends and family.

Wow, what a location set on the edge of two lakes with spectacular views.

We really enjoyed our stay here, with a welcoming hamper on first entering the lodge to helpful and friendly interactions with Dave & Theresa. A safe, private and peaceful property. We explored some local beaches and destinations as well as fishing for rainbow trout on several days, with fresh trout for dinner! Highly recommended and already looking to rebook. Steve & Jane

The property and views surrounding are absolutely gorgeous. It was so peaceful, quiet and calm compared to the city hustle and bustle we are used to! The property was spotless and smelt lovely. The hamper was lovely. We had everything we could literally need during the week we were at the property. We met Dave and the dogs and can honestly say Dave is a lovely person. The story of how he came by the lodge/place is great, and the place really is an asset to him and Theresa. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to meet Theresa during our stay which is a shame, but she seems like a lovely lady! The dogs are so lovely and we both enjoyed giving them both some fuss! The only ‘negative’ we have and it isn’t really a negative as such - is that we would love to come back to Kingfisher Lodge, but we are getting a dog in the next few days and the lodge doesn’t accept dogs, so unfortunately, we won’t be able to come back. If this was to change in the future, we would 100% book again. We have already recommended this property to friends and family. We 100% recommend this place for a holiday, you will not be disappointed. Thank you both again for an amazing stay!!!

We spent an idyllic few days at Kingfisher Lodge which exceeded our expectations on all levels.

The property was immaculate, comfortable and welcoming, as were our hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we had a five star holiday. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the tranquil lakeside environment surrounded by nature. Thank you Dave and Theresa.

The beautiful and quiet location provided the perfect backdrop for our getaway. The facilities were excellent, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We especially appreciated the thoughtfully curated hamper filled with delicious local treats—it truly made us feel welcomed. Thank you for your hospitality and for providing such a lovely retreat; we can't wait to return!

What a gem, this is a lovely tranquil holiday home set beside three beautiful ponds, there is the facility to do a bit of fishing if you like, but it is equally just a great place to stay.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Dave and Theresa along with a hamper of biscuits, fudge, prosecco, fresh fruit and milk. The lodge was spotless and very comfortable, everything you would need in a holiday home. The decking area was great to sit out on and we had a visit from Gracie and Freya (the dogs) every day. We enjoyed the walk around the ponds and the fishing, the photographs of the grounds don't do it justice, the grass has now grown in front of the lodge and the planting around the ponds has grown up, beautiful sunsets and a golden light in the morning and evening. Sighted a deer, kingfisher and various little birds. The lodge is central to most places you may like to visit whilst in the area. We took a walk to the Eden Project and the Knightor Winery, very good English wine and they do a Sunday lunch as well as wine tasting. Short drive to the Lost Gardens of Heligan(wonderful) longer drive to Trebah Gardens (stunning, even has a shingle beach) but well worth it. Newquay, Padstow and Fowey all easy to get to. The train from St Austell is good to get to Truro, Falmouth and Penzance if you don't fancy driving, plenty of parking at the station. All in all it really is a lovely place to be, we were very sad to leave and we will book again, a big thank you to Dave and Theresa, they really have done a great job on making the lodge so comfortable.

Idyllic location for those who like peace and quiet in rural Cornwall.

Newly renovated lodge with tasteful accessories - kingfisher theme which was great. Lovely hamper of goodies awaited us and there was a nice bowl of fruit plus milk in the fridge. Owner very helpful and it was lovely to hear the story of how Kingfisher lodge came to be a holiday let. Beautiful walks around couple of lakes. Even saw 3 cuckoos!! Will definitely be returning ( hopefully have nicer weather!!)

A wonderfully peaceful property, set in a nature reserve - the perfect place to unwind, while convenient for Heligan, Eden and the SW coastal path.

We loved staying at Kingfisher Lodge it was so peaceful and relaxing right by the fishing lake ,places near by to visit , and the hosts Dave and Theresa were always on hand if needed, very helpful and friendly .

We will be returning in the future.
