Wonderful setting, felt very secluded.
Lodge was really nice and loved the hot tub. Just a couple of things, pillows were really old and flat, had to go out and buy a couple of pillows. We also went and bought a mop and bucket, walking in and out from the hot tub getting the floor wet was a bit of a mare with nothing to mop it with. But would definitely stay again. Perfectly placed to visit some amazing beaches and eateries and our pooch had a brilliant time too.
On arrival in Perranporth, we were trying to find the accommodation, the sign at the end of the road is covered with foliage, you have to really look for it, then there was the very narrow road leading up, we have a large vehicle which was scratched by the foliage on both sides, the accommodation was clean and tidy with everything you need for your stay, the hot tub was lovely, we had a problem with it one night, we reported it and it was sorted out straight away, the building itself could do with a bit of TLC, but still a lovely place to stay, there isn't a shop or anything to do on site, but Perranporth beach and little town is 5 - 10 minutes drive, beautiful beach.
The staff were very helpful, pleasant and polite. I won't go back because of the road, it was stressful especially when another vehicle was coming the other way.
Chapel Rock Pet Spa was clean on arrival after a hairy drive down to it from Psrranporth way.
The other way to Leycroft was just as bad with having to go through a ford then attempt an impossible 90 degree turn. There could have been more cutlery provided as we had to constantly washup as there was only 3 of each piece. The shower kept on going hot and cold each time you used it. What also spoiled our stay was the size of the bed. Way too small for two 6ft adults. We had sleepless nights every night as couldnt get comfortable and my partner kept falling out of the bed when he turned over. There was space left either side of the wardrobes to accommodate a bigger bed. It was more like a large single or a very small double. The grounds and surroundings were lovely. Peaceful surroundings.
