We loved our stay at Dot May.

You could not have asked for a better host as Patsy. She was helpful & friendly in all aspects. The Shepherds Hut was amazing together with the two Peacocks in the surrounding garden. Will definitely be back again next year. We love North Cornwall & Dot May was nicely situated to visit the coast etc.

Fantastic stay at Dot May.

The shepherds hut is in a great location and extremely cosy and well equipped. Patsy made me very welcome leaving little treats of bubbles and cream tea and making local recommendations. Would highly recommend a stay.

This was my second day at Dot May and it was as good as my first.

Delightful cosy nest for two in beautiful Cornish countryside setting, withing easy reach of the Cornwall coast path with its magnificent views.

Attention to detail evident throughout the hut, with already excellent self-contained facilities being continually enhanced by the attentive owner. The owner provides recommendations for local walks and fine dining, all within easy reach.

Beautiful little property in lovely grounds and great location to explore Cornwall.

It was so well kept and treasured by the owner and it was a pleasure to stay in. Everything was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Hope to be back sometime in the future.

What an amazing location, stay and host.

From the moment we stayed to the moment we left we felt that we were well looked after. The hut had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and we would definitely return.

We had a lovely week staying in Dot May, a charming cottage-style trailer tucked away in Wadebridge.

It was the perfect little escape for me and my boyfriend – compact but cozy, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Patsy, the host, was incredibly welcoming and gave us some great tips on things to do around the area, which really helped us make the most of our stay. The location was ideal – peaceful and rural, but still really convenient for exploring Cornwall. We were just a short drive from Padstow, Newquay, and Wadebridge, which made day trips super easy and enjoyable. The trailer looks out over a quiet field, adding to the calm, laid-back atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy base in Cornwall.

Wonderful property in a great location.

Real home from home. We really enjoyed our 3 week stay in this lovely, beautifully renovated shepherds hut. It was equipped with everything one needs, cooking was comfortable and there is also a new and quiet fridge in the hut. The property is located in a quiet setting with easy access to the Coast Path and Polzeath, Rock, Padstow.... Patsy, the owner, was the best host we have ever met, so helpful, kind and very pleasant. We will miss the hut and Pasty and we will be back in summer!

Dot May is a very comfortable, well equipped place to stay, in a beautiful part of Cornwall.

A lovely quiet setting with easy access to the Coast Path & near to Polzeath, Rock, Padstow & Port Isaac. Patsy is so welcoming & very informative about the area, nothing is too much trouble. The shepherds hut is beautifully & thoughtfully done, a wonderful relaxing place to spend time, thank you Patsy, we would love to return one day.

Dot May is an idyllic shepherd’s hut in a glorious setting - with peacocks and the most spectacular silver pheasant strutting majestically around the garden.

It is beautifully decorated with flair and style, and Patsy has thought of literally everything for comfort and convenience. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and although it was fractionally short for my 6ft 4ins husband, he still slept like a baby on the wonderful mattress! Our only regrets were that there was no WiFi, being in a poorly serviced area, and no fridge. However Patsy had a very efficient system organised with a cool box and regular fresh ice packs. We had a delightful stay.

Great place for a getaway.

For a solo traveller looking to stay near (but not too near!

) to the extended family, Dot May was perfect, it had everything I needed. Patsy was a wonderful host. I would highly recommend to a solo traveller or couple and would come back in the future.

The hut is clean and cosy and Patsy was a wonderful host - always on hand to help when needed and full of recommendations of activities to do nearby. Would recommend Dot May to anyone looking to explore Cornwall or enjoy Polzeath beach.

Dot May is a little gem, so close to all the local amenities, and yet far enough away to be a total escape, set amidst a beautiful field with carefully appointed native planting.

The hut is welcoming, cosy, perfectly appointed, has all the comforts one could want for, and is spotlessly clean. A really special few nights of peaceful calm.
