We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pond Cabin and would definitely look to return again.

Claire was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The location is also idyllic especially with fine weather.

We had an excellent stay in a well kept log cabin set in a beautiful garden.

The cabin is ideally located for touring Cornwall and well away from the hustle and bustle of main roads. The cooking facilities have improved since we made the booking and we had no problems with catering. The bed was comfy and we found the cabin warm and cosy with a power shower. We were greeted by the owner with flowers and a care package which was a nice touch, the cabin was nice and clean and well presented with car parking. Highly recommended.

The cabin is very dark inside , lights needed all the time .

The settees are very low and could do with being updated . It's difficult to have a decent wash in the tiny sink in the bathroom . Having said that, the cabin is very clean , attractive and well equipped , the bed is comfortable and our dog , in particular, loved the attractive 2.5 acre wild garden .The location is excellent , very central for exploring North and South Cornwall . We had 2 excellent meals at The Golden Lion Stithians .

Pond Cabin is situated in very tranquil and pleasant area with lovely garden and stream next to it.

Getting to it initially proved to be very challenging as the satnav took us up separate drive to another house. This got us completely confused and actually drove past the turn to the cottage initially and had no idea where we were. The road leading to the cabin was very narrow and overgrown with thorn bushes which brushed against our car continuously. The cabin itself was nice but very small and compact. I found the sofas to be fine to sit on but my wife did not find them comfortable. The kitchen area was nice but lacked having working oven, which really could have helped. We tried using the convector oven microwave but was not good for cooking baked potatoes etc. The toilet and shower was very compact but served its purpose. The only thing was the hot water which did not last very long before it turned cold. We kept having to turn the shower off to save the hot water which was not ideal. The bedroom and bed again nice but very compact being a cabin. There was no room to put our luggage or cases as our pet cat was in the back storage room with all of her belongings. After the first night my wife complained she did not have good night sleep as the springs from the mattress where digging into her. We informed the owners and they bought us memory foam mattress but this was days later. We had already purchased the same one though and kept this for ourselves. This certainly helped make the bed more comfortable. We met one of the owners and she was very friendly and helpful. She took all of our laundry and washed and dried it which we really appreciated. I did loose some testing strips while there and could not find them anywhere. When alerting the owners to this they never replied or answered which I was very disappointed about. It would not have taken much to respond to me as I was going through relapse with my kidneys at the time and was quite stressful. We would not stay again at the Cabin because it was very small and compact and lacked kitchen facilities such as oven. We did get the chance to view the cottage next door which was very nice as we met the guests staying there and they showed us around. We would consider staying at the cottage if we decided to come back, however the lack of care and attention to us after we left was not good. I’m not sure if we will return at all now.

Lovely, peaceful and very spacious garden in a quiet location. Great value for money. The sofa might be due for a bit of an update in terms of seating comfort.

Unfortunately our stay at the Pond Cabin was not a good one.

The cabin is set amongst trees, not as in the photo, so lights are required on all the time. My wife is disabled and we are both elderly so found the bed, settees and toilet extremely low. The toilet seat was faulty as it kept sliding off of the rim of the toilet. When I reported this it was already known about but did not solve the problem. So I offered to change the seat. As the toilet was narrow it took several hours to find a merchant with a suitable seat and took most of a day to right this problem. I was reimbursed for the seat. Anybody who finds it difficult to get up from a low position should be made aware of this situation at the cabin.

Lovely place, very comfortable with everything you need for your stay.

Beautiful, restful and relaxing surroundings. Lovely owners who are on hand should you require anything. Would definitely recommend a holiday here.

Beautiful setting lovely and peaceful cabin was real nice and clean furniture was not very comfortable could probably do with upgrading toilet door was difficult to open TV I think was on the wrong wall as cupboard door would bang into it not great I've got a bad back and struggled to get up from the sofas so I personally wouldn't go back

Very friendly owners and helpful.

Nice quiet area and ideal for sightseeing on either coast. The property was very clean and well maintained and equipped. We did not give the top marks only because my wife found the cooker a little to high for her to see what was cooking in the pans and a little awkward to control the temperature of the rings. This was just our findings and probably ok for most people. We would still highly recommend and will to our friends. We would like to thank Claire and James for a very pleasant week break. Great garden and a lovely touch the flowers and coffee. Thank you again Pat and Peter

The property was exactly as described and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Being October the weather was variable but didn’t impede our stay. The owners were very friendly, we live in Australia so we will recommend The Pond Cabin to those of our friends who intend to have a holiday in the UK.

Excellent location, remote, beautiful, peaceful and quiet.

Cabin was lovely too. Large and beautiful garden. Loved the donkey sanctuary very close by.

Spent a very relaxing week at Pond Cabin in absolutely beautiful gardens.

The cabin had everything we needed and more. The extra touches were greatly appreciated. It was comfortable, clean and had very lovely furnishings. The local pub was about a 20 minute walk away (nice walk through fields but close to a main road). The owners of the cabin were friendly and helpful, all in all it made our holiday very special. It was just a shame about the poor weather

It is a lovely log cabin with a design I personally have not seen before, central bedroom, kitchen and dining at one end and living room at the other bathroom at one side and a wardrobe, storage and dressing table in the other side which keeps everything tidy, eg suitcases etc.

The situation is idyllic in a large wooded garden. Touring the bottom part of Cornwall is easy with nothing very far but remember most Cornwall roads are not quick!. We really enjoyed our stay here and when we are back in the area, would pick pond cabin again without hesitation if it was available. David Hope

The cottage was absolutely lovely.

The surrounds was beautiful and Claire and James were lovely even the Cleaner Nikki was very helpful and friendly. Was highly recommend going there.

We loved our stay in the Pond Cabin with the beautiful garden and waterlilies pond (near which we took our breakfast) ; we loved the deep and incredible silence of the place.

Although the cabin is small, everything was there to be confortable and have a wonderful stay inside. We spend 2 weeks of wonderful time and deep rest.

Comfortable but could have been bigger.

The basin in the bathroom was far too small, would have been ok for a two or three day stay, any longer it was a bit congested. Position of the cabin and grounds was lovely.

A lovely peaceful place to stay.

The cabin was equipped with everything. The sofa and bed very comfortable. Loved walking around the pond. And the gentle stream next to it was very relaxing. Much appreciated the WiFi too. Maybe the only downside was the mini oven as you can only have it on one setting at a time. Despite that, would stay again.

2nd time we have stayed there; very comfortable and clean will recommend to our friends and family.

It's been a lovely holiday, it's a cozy little cottage, close to lots of attractions, and dog friendly!

Our Hector had a lot of fun, he enjoyed running around in the garden, on the beach and visiting the Seal Sanctuary and the Castle. We had a relaxing time, very needed! The Cabin is very comfy and cozy, 2ith everything that you need for your week, very recommended.

Pond Cabin is a delightful little home, snuggled into the Cornish countryside, a short drive from Falmouth, with plenty of local walks.

The cabin is well insulated and has instant hot water. There are comfortable couches and all the comforts you would expect, including a range of kitchen equipment. If I could have one wish, it would be to have a more sophisticated stove/oven. The system is limited as you cannot have the oven and hob on at the same time, so cooking has to be well timed. That said, everything else was excellent and the lovely owners even provided a coffee machine and packet of delicious Cornish biscuits.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Pond Cabin and were able to really relax.

The surroundings were beautiful at the cabin and we loved the walks, especially the Stithians Dam and Lake area. It’s all such a wonderful part of Cornwall. Jilly & Dennis.

Quite a hideaway from the crowds with local walks to Stithians village and reservoir. Wooden cabin with all facilities by extended lawn, shrubbery and pond.

We had a really lovely week staying in Pond Cabin.

James and Claire have thought of everything - even down to flowers from the beautiful garden, coffee pods and delicious Cornish biscuits. Had I known that they would supply so many extras, I would not have taken up space in our luggage with things like kitchen rolls, toilet rolls, tea towels, cling film, tin foil, washing up liquid, soap, shower gel, shampoo...the list goes on and on. There was even a dog basket and dog towels for Jack the Labrador! So kind and so considerate. We send them a big thank you and wish them well for the summer season.

Hi ,as discussed with the owner ,accommodation ,5 star however ,only let down by the cooking facilities ; the work top 2 ring cooker/ oven was sadly inadequate , microwave oven was small and basic.

Pleased to say these aspects would not influence our decision to rebook, we would definitely come here again. Thanks to the owners for all their hard work.

Loved the cabin and the location.

It was quiet, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. There were great local walks around the surrounding countryside and Stithians lake and reservoir. It was also very conveniently located for exploring Cornwall. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Pond Cabin.

Accommodation was fantastic I would recommend to anyone to have a holiday or short break there.

A charming retreat in a picturesque setting.

Ideal for a get away but also located close enough to Truro and Helston with easy access to the beaches and walks around the Lizard peninsular. We will return.

Cosy and tranquil Paradise

A tranquil oasis perfect for a relaxing break and ideally located for the beaches West and East and also for sightseeing.

The cabin was very comfortable and the family very welcoming and with its fabulous garden and pond made our stay very enjoyable.

The cabin was well equipped with everything you could need.

We were warm and comfortable and enjoyed the surroundings.

Wash basin in bathroom I found inadequate although my wife didn't.

Sofas not that comfy really, cooker very slow....minor things really but still a bit annoying. Apart from that a nice, cosy place in an ideal spot to explore.

A lovely location well situated for lots of lovely beaches, groceries and petrol.

very secluded and quietgreat for walks and a romantic getaway disappointed that the local pub has closed due to covid and the other 1 is an hours walk however 10 mins in the car

The sofas where uncomfortable.

It was like sitting on the floor . Mattress on the bed you could feel the springs . The access to the pond cabin was over grown causing scratches to my car in the lane . . It is a nice place but needs updating . And the lane to it needs cleaning up over grown trees

The setting is beautiful - lovely, tranquil valley with lots of shrubs and a wonderful huge lily pond.

The cabin itself was ideal for us, pretty well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Very convenient for both coasts, and away from the crowded tourist traps. A nice walk up the lane behind the hamlet to Stithians Lake, keep walking to the other side and the pub has a big, well spaced out garden.

We have just returned from a week long stay in this beautiful lodge along with our 11 month old black labradour.

Such a beautiful, relaxing setting and so pretty and comfortable inside with everything we need to enjoy our stay with even a dog bed provided for our dog. A lovely big field, garden area to sit outside and let the dog have a roam around and also a bbq supplied to enjoy outside dining. Everything was so clean and the bed very comfortable too. We even had fresh flowers, coffee and shortbread left out on our arrival..Thankyou so much for this wonderful stay, we are very sad to be home today and wish we could have enjoyed another week there. Highly recommend anyone to stay here, its truly lovely and we would love to return one day. Thankyou so much x

It was such a peaceful site perfect for my husband, myself and our dog.

So central for all our trips, and lots to do and great places to eat nearby. Unfortunately the owners were away the week we were there and on the info left in the cabin they said as there was no washing machine they would do a wash for us, as they were not there we couldn't take this offer up. Luckily the weather was great and we were able to make do with the clothes ect we took. It would have been very different had it been bad cold and wet weather and maybe this needs to be looked at if they are away again when the cabin is booked. We are not complaining only making a suggestion. The scones jam and cream on our arrival was a wonderful surprise and really appreciated. Hopefully we can go back sometime.

Ideal for dog owners.

Very peaceful and good location for south west Cornwall.

Superb getaway, conveniently nestled away in a quiet location, easy access to all routes and within an hour or so of most locations.

The cabin was clean, cosy and well appointed. We had cream scones, milk, tea and coffee for our arrival. There was a lovely kitchen with all utensils, oven and coffee machine, even the pods to go with it. Towels and bedding supplied. If it was cool there are plenty of fires to keep you cosy. Just a wonderful break, thoroughly recommended.

Claire and James gave us a very warm welcome with a lovely cream tea and biscuits for the dogwaiti g for us after a long journey. Would highly recommend Pond Cabin for a peaceful break away from it all.

The peaceful setting.

Everything you need close by. Such a lovely place to just relax in and enjoy the surroundings.

Location was amazing and the setting for the cabin was brilliant, quiet, secluded it was very peaceful and relaxing.

15 minute drive to a very nice dog friendly beach and 10minutes from the centre of Falmouth. The cabin was cosy and facilities were adequate, some of the cabins features I feel are in need of an update. An appropriate height BBQ would've been handy instead of cooking from the floor and the mattress was very uncomfortable. Overall we were very happy though the cream tea upon arrival was a very nice touch.

A lovely setting, good value for money, ideal with a dog with the use of a wonderful field, owners wonderfully friendly and extremely obliging, the welcoming scones, jam and clotted cream was a nice touch, sadly the bed was a little uncomfortable.

The lady owner unfortunately gave me the wrong key code to access but we soon sorted that out with a phone call In general excellent location and facilities May me worthwhile investing in a DVD player or possibly Sky TV as the TV choice was a little dated But OK for a weekend ?

Does need a few small repairs ir Toilet door lock Electric Fire (Broken) Bedroom window blind (Broken) but these are really petty and overall a great stay

Very quiet and a central location to explore south north & west as we did.

Didn't need to go east on this trip. The cabin was lovely, clean and comfortable. Would book again if in Cornwall but unlikely for sometime due to the need to go to other parts of the UK now that my circumstances have changed.

Just that we had a wonderful welcome and a beautiful location which was perfectly places for touring the area and I would return anytime.

The owners lived on site and were excellent even supplying scones, jam & cream.

Pond cabin was the most delightful little cabin.

We were greeted with flowers and a wonderful cream tea with fresh baked scones. It is so peaceful and lovely here with easy walks to the village ( the Seven Stars pub does fabulous meals ) and to the dam and reservoir. A car is a must for getting around Cornwall and this cabin is situated perfectly for anywhere you might want to visit. Ideal garden for children and dogs and we had a very friendly visitor in Harry the cat! The hosts are great, very helpful if you need anything but you have total privacy otherwise. We were snowed in for a day and the cabin was warm and cosy. We had a lovely week and would recommend to anyone.
