What a fabulous holiday home, so comfortable & immaculately clean, set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.

We arrived to such lovely touches - fresh scones, freshly laid eggs, drinks, the home had such wonderful luxurious touches to make it feel special & both Jake & Lewis were brilliant hosts - friendly & helpful. Splendidly situated to walk down the country lanes into Porthleven harbour that had charm & atmosphere, some of our area highlights - Kota Kai, Amelia, Harbour Inn & Mussel Shoal for food & drinks - such a fun vibe in the Mussel Shoal, lovely artistic craft shops. Chester our Labrador loved a run on Hayle beach which wasn’t restricted in May. Don’t look any further book Chi Lowarth you won’t be disappointed.

In very peaceful location but only a short distance from Porthleven

Chi Lowarth was a beautiful peaceful retreat, the lodge was immaculate and felt like a real home away from home.

Jake and Lewis were wonderful hosts and responded immediately to a few queries we had. There was a generous welcome pack on arrival full of Cornish local produce, including eggs laid by the hosts rescued hens. We loved to be able to walk down to Porthleven, the harbour and shops through quiet country lanes and fields. We found so many beautiful villages, beaches and gardens within a short drive from the property. The small enclosed garden was a real suntrap and perfectly for our two dogs to potter around. We loved the property so much we have already booked to return next year.

Great location, loved the little touches on arrival such as cream scones, a beer or cider, fresh flowers on the table, it lacked for nothing as a home from home and also provided for dogs needs.

(Just two things I would change, the settee is most uncomfortable, being hard to sit on and with little back support. It's a big step up from outside into the property, an additional step would be ideal for those with a mobility issue) I would love to return to Chi Lowarth as this was an amazing property, Thank you, and well done to all.

This is a lovely peaceful place to stay, and an excellent base for exploring a beautiful corner of Cornwall.

We loved all of the extra touches to make us welcome, and found it to be very well equipped, comfortable and cosy.

Very quiet and peaceful location, 20/30 mins walk from Porthleven.

Loved our stay here, everything was provided and we even had to borrow a dog towel as we’d forgot ours but nothing was too much trouble. Our hosts were perfect, fresh eggs, drinks, scones with jam and cream were provided. Perfect location for exploring this area of Cornwall. Lodge had everything we needed, comfortable and loved the shower. Even used the outside shower as weather was so hot for myself. Washed dogs paws under it every day and was surprised it was both hot and cold. A perfect oasis after busy days walking and lovely to chill on the patio in the sun with a cold cider.

A beautiful, comfortable property in a peaceful rural location, but in close proximity to Porthleven and Helston.

A cream tea awaited us on arrival as well as a Cornish lager and cider in the fridge.Everything we needed was provided as well as extras such as gorgeous local soap products and tea bags and coffee. The property was spotlessly clean and a jug of fresh flowers and indoor plants gave it a lovely ambience.

We really enjoyed our stay.

The accommodation was exactly as described but felt even more special. Great location for exploring the greater area but in a peaceful location. Very friendly owners and well equipped stay

Perfect place for a couple (and dog).

It’s brilliantly designed, even though it’s a simple ‘cabin’ style place and full of light with the whole front being floor to ceiling windows. Owners very good comms. The patio is a tadge narrow but very pleasant to sit out and relax. It’s worth knowing that although it is notionally possible to walk in to porthleven it is all on country lanes and about 1 1/2 miles, so we always drove, which is only a 5 minute run. Porthleven is great, one of our favourite Cornish harbours, full of great pubs and restaurants and lively but nowhere near as rammed as St Ives or Padstow.

Second time visiting and as lovely as the first time we visited, outstanding property, lovely and quiet, lovely log fire and bed is sooo comfy!

We absolutely loved this property, clean, comfortable, warm, cosy, bight and very romantic even with the dogs.

The lanes were easy to walk along down to Porthleven and it's a great base for visiting the south coast of Cornwall. We wanted for nothing, thank you so much for the welcome pack. I think we both agreed the only thing that could possibly improve it would be some sort of string lighting outside, plugged in type. It got very dark, very quickly and would have been nice to be able to see the lovely border you've planted. We'll absolutely come back here.

Lovely place, clean, stylish and modern while also feeling cozy and welcoming.

Lots of thoughtful little details and all essentials provided, including nice toiletries, dish washer tabs, fire wood etc. Fresh eggs from resident hens! The property is secluded and private, the owners are nearby if needed, but clever planting means it doesn’t feel overlooked at all. Surrounded by countryside, amazing skies on a clear night! Slept very well in the comfortable bed. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Chi Lowarth has the "Wow Factor" that's all the wife kept saying on arrival, as she explored the accommodation and garden.

A friendly greeting, ample information and the tea, Coffee, scones, jam, clotted cream and milk all a lovely welcoming touch

Property was as good as discribed in your app Owners were favourably pleasant when we came upon a problem with the step up into property for me because I have trouble with my hip they produced a step to enable me an easier solution Thank you It was lovely to hear the owls during our stay!

Great cabin, nice location and facilities.

Only problem was that the bed was a bit creaky which made it a little harder to sleep. The dog was happy, he often barks at random noises but it was quiet enough here he just slept! The small private garden being enclosed was really useful for him too.

We loved the accommodation it was very good.

It took us a while to navigate the lanes as there are no signs with names on them. We also found a lot of the places we wanted to visit were closer than we expected overall very happy.

What a beautiful place to stay!

A super clean, cozy and well looked after property. We arrived to a cornish cream tea left for us which was a lovely touch. We particularly liked the thought that had gone into furnishing the property with a love of nearby Porthleven. We loved soaking up the sun on the patio after exploring the coastline which is only 5 minutes drive away. Would highly recommend a stay here!

What can I say, just "wow"!

This place is incredible, such an eye for detail has gone in to, fantastic furnishings, bathroom and kitchen. The property is in the garden of the owners, but we didn't actually meet them once so felt very private. The hedge between the cottage and their garden has grown high enough now to provide privacy from their garden, but still lets plenty sun onto the patio. The garden is completely fenced/gated so doors can be opened up and the dog could roam free, there is a small lawn area for doggy toileting and washing line. Lots of interesting tropical plants and a full herb bed for seasoning dinner and the BBQ! The cottage is very well insulated so it can get quite warm when the sun gets on it, we tried to shut curtains when we went out to keep it at bay, but you can open massive wide doors and windows when you can back to cool it down quickly. I would recommend a top sheet is provided for the bed as the duvet was very thick and so too hot, we always travel with our own, but would be a nice touch. The water pressure is also quite slow in the shower. In terms of location, it is perfect, set in farmland away from town it's so quiet and peaceful, but only a 5-10 min drive to Porthleven and and Highburrow cliff path. Also ideal location for Lands End and Lizard penninsula. We managed to find plentry of 'secret' beaches no one else was on, even in amazing warm weather, and lots of vegan food (including numerous places selling vegan ice cream for our lactose intolerant doggy, she was beyond happy!) 10 min drive to supermarket in Helston if needed.

We enjoyed our holiday but were surprised that nobody greeted us during our stay.

Also we were disappointed to find that the toilet had been used and not flushed. There was a sign saying enjoy the gift of our eggs but there were none to be found! However we did enjoy the scones, beer, cider and on the whole our stay. PS. Hooks for dressing gowns would be nice.

A really stylish and comfortable property.

It's in the garden of the owners but surrounded by delightful gardens and safe for dogs. A quiet location but just a few minutes drive from cliff path and the many independent shops cafes and restaurants in Porth Leven.

A beautifully presented cottage in a quiet rural setting.

Welcomed with a delicious cream tea, flowers and cold drinks in the fridge. Jake a very friendly and helpful host. The garden is slightly smaller than the pictures show, the outside shower was very useful for hosing down feet and sandy dogs. We spent a lot of time out exploring, the cottage was warm and cosy to come back to of an evening. Overall a good time in this well thought out cottage.

Lovely accommodation had a nice fresh and airy feel to it.

The information pack was excellent it had all the information we needed including some very helpful walk information and I loved the personal touch of seeing the before and after pictures. A lot of thought and care has gone into this property and I would highly recommend it.

The quality of the fittings and white goods, and the keen eye for design that has gone into presenting the ‘cottage’. We also loved the garden, so Cornish with tropical looking plants. The owners have gone above and beyond. Thank you.

Greeted by cream tea including homemade scones and jam. Owners very friendly and accommodating as I unfortunately was on crutches with quite a large step into property so a lower step was made! Brilliant. Would definitely recommend

Very clean and lovely to be able to open french doors to enjoy lovely weather we had. Couldn't fault accommodation at all.

If you are looking for a haven of peace and tranquility to get away from it all Chi Lowarth is the perfect place to rest and unwind.

Depending on how fast you walk, Porthleven is 20-30 minutes away or 5 mins in the car. There are several walks close by which the owners have put in the welcome literature if you have a dog with you or just fancy a walk. You can also order fresh eggs which are lovely from their rescue hens. The lodge is well equipped and tastefully decorated, very comfortable and has everything you need. Attention to detail is perfect. Chi Lowarth is a hidden gem that is well worth a visit.

The property was amazing very clean and homely.

The hosts Jake and Lewis was amazing as we had a slight problem with the television but was resolved in minutes. Me my partner and our two furry companions are really looking forward to our next stay.

It is extremely comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated to make you feel right at home. The hosts thoughtfully provided a great welcome with a proper Cornish cream tea, Easter eggs, flowers and local cold drinks in the fridge ready for arrival! The hosts gave us lots of information and advice to show local walks and attractions. The cottage is ideally positioned to travel to the best beaches, towns and eateries and the lovely garden and local fields were great for our dog A wonderful place to stay made perfect by the best possible hosts ! Perfect in all ways, will be visiting again.

Just all we needed in a lovely part of the country.

The property has been very thoughtfully equipped and decorated Our small dog enjoyed walking around the daffodil fields. Very minor points: Add that a hairdryer is provided in the description. Full TV reception would have been good but we did not miss it.

We had a lovely time, there was nothing more that we could ask for.

Peaceful retreat, lovely walks just a 15 minute drive from amazing beach. We felt at home and are looking forward to booking again soon.

What is special is that it is a purpose built holiday home and not a home that could have been let long term to a local family. Devon and Cornwall need more places like this

We had a fantastic stay!

The property was lovely and homely and ideal to come back to after exploring all of the beautiful places nearby. On arrival the check in was easy, everything was spotless and there were so many lovely finishing touches. We had plenty of afternoons sitting in the sunshine overlooking the beautiful garden which was very peaceful. The location was great for dog walks and a short drive from various parts of the coast. We would love to return!

We had a fantastic week, the weather was absolutely glorious but regardless of that the property is ideal and extremely comfortable with plenty of room.

It is tastefully decorated and it's obvious the owners care. The garden around the property is small but adequate for us, plus we have two dogs and it worked well, fields easily accessible directly from the property. It is quiet and you are not overlooked in any way. I'm sure there is more positives to add but can't think immediately of all the things I loved about it. It was one of the best places we have stayed. The location whether driving or walking is ideal, its a 20-30 min walk into Porthleven, 15-20 min walk to Penrose estate (beautiful National Trust with great dog walks and access to Loe Pool and Loe Bar), 5 min drive into Porthleven (don't be surprised if you can't park in the town) but be prepared to park on the outskirts and walk in. Coastal paths accessible from there also. The town has everything you need and restaurants (good idea to book, they are excellent and popular) and shops allow dogs, which is a big deal, trust me. This is not criticism (because believe me we will visit again, fingers crossed they let us
