Beachcliff
Description
Nestled in the peaceful countryside of Porth, on the Newquay Bay Resort in Cornwall is this well-presented lodge, Beachcliff.
With fantastic facilities on-site and boasting spectacular views of unspoilt greenery as well as being a stone's throw away from the beach, this lovely dwelling is the idyllic setting for a family getaway.
Be greeted by off-road parking, before making your way up the steps and into the lodge.
The open-plan living space is sure to be the social hub of your stay, hosting a kitchen, dining area and sitting area.
Treat your loved ones to a tasty home-cooked meal using the amply-equipped kitchen, where you will also find a handy dishwasher to help with the cleaning up.
From here, dine together as you discuss the day's activities, before sinking into the plush sofa to watch TV and cosy up for the evening.
When sleep calls, venture off to the bedrooms for some well-earned rest ahead of another adventurous day; the lodge is home to a delightful double with an en-suite shower room, perfect for rinsing any sand of after a day at the beach, as well as two twin bedrooms, perfect for children or friends sharing.
When you wake, freshen up in the family bathroom, which gives you the option of an indulgent soak in the bath or a quick shower, and make your way out to the decking to enjoy your coffee with a view.
The wrap-around decking provides plenty of seating, meaning you can take your meals alfresco, or even just enjoy a relaxing moment to yourself on the sun loungers.
The site itself offers many things to do during your stay, including swimming in the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indulging in a sauna and steam session, and making the best of your evening with dinner and entertainment at the bar/eatery.
Be sure to visit the delightful Porth Beach, where you can unwind with a good book while sunbathing, paddle in the shores, or try your hand at some watersports.
Children and animal lovers can enjoy a day the superb Newquay Zoo, home to an array of exotic animals over 13-acre gardens.
If aquatic animals are more to your interest, take a trip to the nearby Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay to discover the sharks, turtles and many other exotic species.
A fun-filled afternoon can be found at Pirate's Quest Adventure Golf, which is just a short drive away from the lodge and offers a pirate-themed experience and mini-golf course, fun for all the family!
If you prefer a more relaxed day of walking, explore the coastal paths nearby and venture out to the lovely Trenance Gardens for a stroll along the lake before stopping for some tea and cake.
Further afield, why not spend a day in one of the stunning surrounding towns and villages, such as the picture-perfect coastal town of Perranporth, home to a wealth of quirky shops, pubs and a glorious beach?

What guests are saying
We had a wonderfully stay at the lodge!
Its very spacious and has a nice balcony view of the hills. The secluded location makes it a fantastic place to unwind. Just a heads-up for future guests: because it’s quite remote, cell service and Wi-Fi can be spotty. It’s a great excuse to unplug and enjoy a digital detox, but worth keeping in mind if you need a reliable connection during your trip. Its a very dog friendly place to stay and the neighbours are lovely x
Had a wonderful stay at Beachcliff, the views were stunning, beds were so comfy, everything you need was there, washing machine was a bonus.
Perfect location, 5 mins drive into Newquay or a short walk to the beach. Definitely recommend The Barn for food, just a short walk up the back road. Thankyou Janet for a fabulous stay, will definitely be returning
If you want peace and quiet in a gorgeous lodge, close to but away from the attractions of Porth, Newquay and north Cornwall, then Beachcliffe is for you.
Although it is sited on a large holiday park, it is in a lovely tucked away position at the top of the park and when you sit on the outside deck, all you can hear is the birds singing. Sitting on the huge deck in the sunshine with a gin and tonic was just bliss and was the perfect place to relax and unwind! Beachcliffe has everything that you could wish for - comfy beds, a fabulous equipped kitchen, the BEST shower ever, instant hot water (and heating if you needed it) and everything was super clean and fabulous condition. It was just perfect and we didn't want to go home! The owner was also lovely too when we had a question. We would highly recommend Beachcliffe and cannot wait to return again! Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!
