A little cottage surrounded by interesting greenery & tucked under the Cotswold Hills right on the edge of Cheltenham.

There’s ( almost) everything you need in the cottage & everything is very smart. Laura & Mark are thoughtful & will always help.

Peaceful spot ideal place to stay for seeing the Cotswolds only one thing that let this accommodation down was no welcome tray after a 5 hour drive on a hot day first thing you want is a cuppa but there wasn’t anything provided every place I’ve stayed in has had a pint of milk in the fridge and some tea and coffee for the price I expected that

Nice quiet location within easy reach of Cheltenham and many Cotswold villages excellent accommodation and would certainly go again.

We absolutely loved our short break at Wellinghill Lodge.

Property was perfect for the two of us and exactly as described great location with plenty to do in the area. Next time we plan a trip that way this property will be our first choice to hopefully revisit.

The photos give the impression that guests have access to a lawned area, which is not the case. The outdoor space is quite small and, in my opinion, not particularly inviting. There is a seating area accessed via very steep steps, which I found difficult to use safely, and my small dog unfortunately fell down them during our stay. Inside, the accommodation was comfortable overall, with a very comfortable bed, clean linen, and lovely towels. However, the kitchen worktop was cluttered with various items, leaving limited preparation space. This was manageable for one guest but could be difficult for two. The sofa was also uncomfortable, and upon inspection appeared to be worn and propped up with an additional cushion. The shower drained very slowly, causing water and soap residue to build up, which made it less pleasant to use. On a positive note, there was always plenty of hot water available. I experienced a couple of issues during my stay, but the owner was extremely helpful and dealt with them promptly and efficiently.

We had a lovely weeks holiday at the Lodge.

It was very clean and tastefully decorated. There was a lovely gift of fresh eggs from Laura the owner, who is very friendly and on hand for any issues. It's a lovely peaceful area with nice walks. Amenities are close by. We enjoyed our stay. We were lucky with the weather and we were able to take advantage of the lovely sitting out areas. Just a suggestion - we would have liked a non slip mat in the shower and we couldn't find any bin bags.

Perfect accommodation for us and our dog.

Lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Laura and Mark were excellent hosts. The situation is very rural and quiet with easy access to Cheltenham and surrounding area.

We had a wonderful break in this peaceful lodge.

Everything we needed was at hand and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the modern bathroom. We hope to return to get the best out the terrace when the weather is kinder.

Wellinghill Lodge,what a great find.

It was a last minute decision to go away and we were not disappointed. I'ts in a beautifull area and had everything you wanted,home from home really. Laura popped over when we got there to see if everything was alright and left us some eggs from her hens,which were appreciated and very tasty. Thank you, we both had a wonderful and relaxing time.

My ideal kind of holiday - a beautiful quiet location, but within easy reach of pubs, restaurants and shops.

The Lodge has a charming, friendly character, and I loved the furniture and interior decor (part of the reason I chose it!) Contact with the owner was warmly welcomed, which was lovely. I'm hoping to stay there again next year.

This is a very well appointed property with a high standard of fittings and comfort.

We would certainly consider returning in the future.

Lovley cottage had everything we needed for a perfectly relaxing stay.

Our hosts made us very welcome and gave us some good tips of places to visit. Rhoda our Labrador loved the long walks across the country side surrounding our cottage. Location was just perfect for exploring the Cotswolds with Charlton Kings and Cheltenham in walking distance along with Dunkertons Cider. In less than 30 mins via scenic roads you were in Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Lower and Upper Slaughter all with great walks for dogs too. Will definitely be back to Cotswolds it's a Gem of a place. Thanks again Laura and Mark for such a wonderful stay.

Fantastic lodge would highly recommend it to everyone, well equipped with everything you need from home.

A very enjoyable stay in a Beautiful location.

Laura & Mark were very friendly hosts and the cabin was excellent , we would highly recommend this location to anyone wishing to escape civilisation for a short time.. Well worth a visit .

We had a lovely stay in great surroundings, the Lodge was excellent, well equipped, high standard finish, Laura was an excellent host, we would not hesitate to go back, highly recommend this Lodge, and the complimentary eggs were excellent.

Internet down most of the stay

The lodge is situated in a lovely area, close to shops and pubs.

It feels like you are in the middle of the countryside even though the uphill drive is only about 200 yards from the main road. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is easy to use. Everything is supplied ie washing up liquid, toilet rolls, handwash as well as an iron and table top ironing board. The outside space has various seating and the upper part has a great view from the back (the right hand side of the lodge garden is the owners private space). Our dog was very happy there and we managed to find a space for her medium dog crate. Laura and Marc are very friendly and supplied us with freshly laid eggs. We would definitely like to return to this lovely lodge again.

Really great location, very peaceful and perfect for a couple and one dog.

The only negative to mention really about the stay was the cleanliness, there were loads of bits still on the floor and the sink area wasn’t cleaned great, but apart from that, an overall very pleasant stay and would definitely return.

We had a lovely time in this beautiful cottage it was just as described clean, well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Outstanding views and the grounds surrounding the cottage were amazing, credited to the owners. We took our dog who enjoyed seeing the animals every day in the fields, the area had lots to offer and were very dog friendly. Highly recommend Thank you! Located in beautiful countryside this lodge has a modern decor and is fully equipped with modern facilities and a super comfy bed!

! It’s location right alongside the owners house and the shared drive with the owners 3 cars does not offer the privacy some may be seeking and this should be mentioned in the description. No problem for us! Overall super place with friendly owner!

This was the perfect getaway, stunning property and beautifully decorated, especially the bathroom and electric burner.

Wow, was my first reaction on entering Wellinghill Lodge.

May look small from the outside, but clever design and attention to detail make it feel spacious and welcoming inside. Spotlessly clean, and a very well equipped kitchen. Choice of private areas to sit outside and enjoy the peace, when it wasn't raining! Photos online do not do this place justice, it really is something quite special . Highly recommend, and I am sure we will return. Our dog enjoyed her stay too!

Superbly located - on the fringe of Cheltenham yet quiet and secluded as if deep in the countryside - and good quality accommodation.

I was particularly impressed by its own private garden- raised and split level - with great views to the green hills in the middle and far distance. I thoroughly enjoyed my week and hope to be back there some time in the future. Excellent value for money.

This was our second time of staying.

we very rarely return to any holiday let but were very impressed with this one. Its quiet and comfortable and is an idea location for visiting the Cotswolds and NT houses. We only mentioned in passing that the light bulb in the standard lamp had packed up and we were duly presented with a new one. We don't think anything would be to much trouble for Laura but we suspect you could come and go without even seeing them. The hens eggs were a treat.

The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed for a relaxing break from work.

The location was perfect for cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswold towns. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed sitting outside on the top deck when we had the rare sunny days! The surroundings of the cottage are lovely and it’s so nice to see the farm life every day. Even though the access to the cottage is shared with the owners, this does not effect any privacy at all if people were concerned about sharing the driveway. We loved meeting little Herbie who greeted us and our dog when we came back. Would definitely visit again, thanks for a lovely stay.

I had a lovely week at the lodge, it's the perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds.

Although the owners live by the lodge they weren't intrusive but there if you need anything. The garden area was fine for what I/my dog needed but it may not be suitable for all dogs as the fence at one side is quite low(could be jumped over easily). Would definitely go back to the lodge again though!

The lodge is in a lovely location surronded by nature and Laura was fantastic and gave us some of chicken eggs from her chickens and gave us a very warm welcome.

We only wished we had more time with our stay to enjoy all the facilities so we hope to come back again.

Our stay at Wellinghill Lodge was fabulous.

The location was ideal for visiting family in Cirencester and also for wandering around the stunning villages of the Cotswolds. The property was ideal for two (and a dog) and the finishing touches were lovely (the family's hens even left us some fresh eggs). Super outside space and very well equipped interior. We will definitely be re-booking.

A delightful lodge.

In a quiet location but most amenities less than a mile away with a shop close by. Very dog friendly and the owners very helpful. Had a wonderful time and highly recommend it. We will be coming back!

Lovely bejou holiday property .

Well equipped, comfortable , cosy and beautifully presented , we would highly recommend ! Excellent location with good transport links ( bus ) within 10 mins Really nice touches throughout which enabled this holiday home to stand out from the crowd !

Very pleasant stay and friendly but not intrusive owners.

Key code differed from arrival instructions but not an issue as owner had unlocked for us. Water heating a bit of an issue but we got the hang of it.. Some instructions for the appliances would have been useful but we worked out with some help from the internet. Overall a very nice comfortable cottage in good location, we are very likely to rebook in the future.

Very little hot water in kitchen and bathroom.

Had to boil kettle to do washing up.

This property is excellent and as described.

It is perfect with all you need for your break and well equipped with a good outdoor sitting area. It is well situated for access to Cheltenham and explore the Cotswolds. Would be happy to stay here again if in the area.

Wellinghill Lodge was immaculate, everything was very clean.

The furniture was very comfortable, particularly the bed, we both sleep really well. The only thing we hadn’t realised was that it didn’t have a wardrobe, but actually that wasn’t a major issue as there were a few hangers and hanging places in the bedroom which we used. We didn’t hear much noise from the livery at all, or the farm so it was a lovely peaceful holiday. The owners were both very pleasant. We feel that we were very lucky to find this little gem, especially as we booked so late. Thank you, we returned home feeling very relaxed.

The property is ideal for a couple looking to get some peace and quiet and has good access to local walks in the Cotswolds.

Also good for the dog who loved the decking area to watch everything.

This was our second stay at the cottage and we are booked again for September.

The lodge is comfortable, homely and in a wonderful location - close to town yet surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside.

Great location, quiet, relaxing and within easy reach of Cheltenham and the magnificent Cotswolds.

Absolutely lovely lodge, well kitted out, with a lovely terrace to watch the sunset.

Really clean when we arrived which is reassuring in these times. Also really close to Charlton Kings with lots of pubs and restaurants within a 20min walk.

It was perfect.

The lodge is just down the road from the town centre and there is a gorgoues walk 5 minute drive away next to the Indian takeout. With two tracks long and short which is great to do for a early morning stroll with your dog. Cannop ponds and sculpture trail are only 45 minute drive away. Woth Cheltenham town centre very close by although we did that much walking we didn’t visit here. The lodge is great. Lots of animals close by horses and chickens! Very clean and so quiet. No traffic noise just nature. The only thing we missed was a DVD player. We bought plently of games to play on the decking area and it was peaceful in the evenings to relax and get ready for the next day.

This lodge was found by one of Sykes operators for me when I asked to be within 5 miles of Swindon.

She gave me the code to enter online and I approved and paid directly. It was only later that I realised it is on the edge of Cheltenham! However it was a safe and easy run up the M5 that suited me better and the property was wonderful. I hadn't been able to find somewhere near the Vale of the White Horse that would take 2 whippet dogs - so was surprised that I had missed this location - and that is the case, but I had a very good break in the Cotswolds!

The only negative point I would make is there wasn’t fresh eggs as advertised by the main gate (which we would happily pay for).

The owners put 3 fresh eggs in the kitchen when we arrived and they were so lovely

Really lovely lodge on large farmland with beautiful views and beautiful horses too!

Owner was friendly and really helpful, particularly in offering us use of their hose to clean down our very muddy Golden retriever following a walk. Good location with shops and walks on the doorstep.

Good base for visiting all the lovely places in the Cotswolds.

Wellinghill Lodge was just what we needed for our short break.

Lodge has all you need nestled on a farm/livery and just yards from public footpaths, village, pub etc. Close to Cheltenham with Bourton & Stow a 20 minute drive away. Would highly recommend it for those wanting to 'get away from it all'. Welcome pack included milk, bread and freshly laid eggs
