    “We absolutely loved our short break staying in Leaden View Oak.”

    The ‘lodge’ was perfect for 2 old friends meeting up to chatter 4 days away over wine and dinner. The accommodation was small, but perfect for 2. Our only observation was that hooks on the back of doors for coats/towels etc would have been brilliant, as would somewhere to put wet walking boots etc. Also a slimline dishwasher would have saved washing-up (which is a personal gripe). A salad bowl and potato peeler were, for us, the only things missing. However, we had such a lovely time ...

One of the most attractive market towns in the Vale of Leadon, Newent, formerly a Roman settlement, offers a wide range of attractions, including the half timbered Old Market Hall dating back to 1668, traditional inns, restaurants, tea rooms and individual shops.
