Meadow Lodge @ Berrys Place Farm

We had such a lovely stay.

It was a welcome break for all 3 of us (including a 17 year old) to escape from the business of every day life. The weather wasn’t the best but the coziness of the pod more than made up for it, and we will definitely be back in the future to explore the area around the pod. Gloucester Quays and the Christmas Market were excellent too.

Cindy beds and soooo clean. We didn’t need anything when we arrived and were touched to find some nice treats on arrival! Thanks!!

Loved staying in the pods, very clean and well supplied.

The cake was rselish too! Lots of trees and countryside, rabbits and birds to watch and very peaceful. Owners very friendly and helpful. Loved the fire pit of an evening and watching the stars. Only downside was the bed being very soft which our backs suffered a bit from as we’re used to a firmer bed. Great base for exploring the Forest of Dean and Gloucester which are only a short drive away.

Nice and tidy.

Very friendly people (parents of the host). One can make nice walks from hereon and soms villages are not too far away. Hereford, Gloucester, etc. Good price for a good stay.

Perfect for couples.

It was a brilliant stay during half term with our three-year-old and eight-year-old children; we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Anne and Gary are lovely and very welcoming, both upon key collection and throughout our visit. A delicious lemon cake and milk awaited us, a much-appreciated treat after our journey. We were fortunate with the weather and spent most of our time outdoors, making use of the provided games, a thoughtful addition. The pod itself was exceptionally well-equipped, exceeding our expectations in every way. Thank you for a lovely stay; we look forward to returning.

We spent a week at Meadow Lodge Pod, the location is lovely, situated along a quiet country lane in its own meadow, not overlooked being peaceful and quiet.

Within a short distance there are plenty of walks,places of interest and places to eat. It has easy access with private parking and there is now a paved footpath to the pod not shown in the photos. There are a couple of things we felt needed improvement, the bed mattress needs replacing it has no support whatsoever, more shelving and coat hooks around the place would help with the bits and pieces that you have on holiday and the summer house by the lake is tired and delapidated.

Fabulous 3 night stay.

Loved the pod, view from the back door, the lake, the birds and the bunnies. The pod was very comfortable, and it was easy to relax. Don't turn the TV on, just watch the wildlife and listen to the cockerels chatting to each other.

What an amazing place to stay.

We had plenty of space to ourselves, it's was fun to explore the lake and say hello to the pigs with our kids. The lodge is so beautifully kept and was warm and cosy. We used it a base to visit Cotswold wildlife park and other local sights and walks. Thanks for a lovely stay.

It has been one of our best holiday locations.

The pod was on it's own, no one else to be disturbed and was also well equiped with your basic needs. Bed was comfortable and the pull out sofa bed was good too.The firepit was a plus, so hubby enjoyed collecting wood around the area on his morning walks although the host has a pile ready for use. The weather was good so bbq seemed to be a natural thing to do, as well as eating outside and watching the birds, rabbits and squirrels and there's a resident robbin that always perches on the chair in the morning. The welcome lemon cake and milk was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed picking apples from you orchard. We are surely recommending Meadow lodge to our friends.Thank you very much, Anne and Gary. We will surely come back to do fishing at your lake. We had a great time.

My wife booked this as I am a 'workahollic' and needed a break.

My first impressions were, 'what are we doing staying in a Pod'? Never considered staying in a 'Pod' before, having seen 4 in a Bed programmes, but this place is something else. We absolutely loved this 5 day break. We had the worst rainy weather whilst there, but didn't care. So peaceful and great to watch the wildlife. Will definitely be returning. Many thanks to our hosts.

Excellent stay and just what we needed: a relaxing weekend break

The hosts and their dog were loverly, the accommodation was fantastic and had everything you could need and the bonus of a delicious cake on arrival.

We had a lovely stay at Meadows Lodge.

We were greeted by Anne and Gary and their lovely dog, who made us feel welcome. The glamping pod was stunning, very clean and the surrounding area was beautiful. The grounds are so big for the kids to run about and very private. There is a lake not far from the pod that you can walk around and benches if you want to go and eat down there or just chill for a bit which was nice. There is a pub not far and we saw a co-op and a pharmacy within 20 mins and a Lidl so all the shops you need if you’ve forgot something. My family have seen the photos I’ve posted and are interested in booking because it was just so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had four nights at Meadow Lodge, we wish we’d had longer!

Although the weather wasn’t brilliant, we really enjoyed the lodge, it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. There are so many places to explore nearby we have decided we will definitely stay there again. Anne, Gary & Richard were all lovely and helpful. We were able to explore their land around the lodge and the Lily pond is gorgeous. Just a short drive away was Leaf Creative, a lovely garden centre with a very good Cafè. The Garden Centre over the main road served delicious food as did The Glasshouse Pub. It’s a great base for exploring, such as The Forest of Dean, Puzzle Wood, Gloucester and ‘Art In Nature’, which has galleries, an Artist in Residence, a small area of garden with sculptures and if you are arty you’ll love their shop! All in all, we highly recommend Meadow Lodge. Thank you Anne, Gary and Richard x

We have never stayed in a 'pod' before we booked this short break.

Any doubts we had were soon dispelled. The tranquil location in a grass meadow with wildlife all around was wonderful. The pod was well equipped, cosy and very comfortable. Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and ready to assist us, if we needed anything. We would have no hesitation in booking again.

Stayed for 3 nights in Sept, we had such a lovely peaceful break at Meadow Lodge.

The location is perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The lodge was located near a fishing lake and orchard which we enjoyed walking and sitting watching the wildlife. Gary and Anne were perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The lodge has everything you need, spotlessly clean.

What a wonderful location, quiet and peaceful, just the buzzing of the bees and fluttering of birds wings.

Just the place to relax and recharge your batteries ready for return to the hurly burly of life. Meadow Lodge, whilst small has everything you need. Hope to return soon

We enjoyed our stay at the farm.

The place is serene, beautiful and very near from most of tourists attractions.

It was a wonderful stay that our daughter will never forget, with the rabbits, the birds and all the other deers.

Lovely spot, lots of wildlife to see.

Pods are clean, comfortable and cosy. Very well equipped. Great location to explore the forest. This was our second stay!

Amazing location…so peaceful and serene.

The grounds are very well looked after which is delightful to see and enjoy. The lodge was perfect, very high quality with all the finishing touches. My only slight complaint is that the mattress was quite lumpy, I slept on the sofa bed which was much nicer for me. The owners are adorable, so accommodating and helpful. Please stay here! It’s soooooo worth it!

A cosy property set in a scenic surrounding.

A little gem which was perfect for a family with two small children.

Big outside area with trees, sticks, rabbits, and wildlife to explore. Double glamping pods are very cosy with all the facilities you would want and all in impeccable order. Not far from the Forest of Dean for a few days out. Would certainly visit again and would heartedly recommend, the kids were reluctant to leave

A lovely super sized glamping pod with great facilities, and the orchard setting was really special.

If possible some additional shelves, or hanging nets to store the extra cushions at night would be great.

Relaxing, quaint and cosy.

What a beautiful & well thought out lodge.

A comfortable bed, compact but perfectly thought out bathroom. In the dining/living area there is a hob & combo microwave oven for any cooking you may want to do plus fridge, a toaster & kettle. A TV if you need it but this area has patio doors that look out to a bird feeder & we spent most of our time sitting watching the birds. There are books & games to play too. The grounds are beautiful & the pond so peaceful. We managed to see a kingfisher! We also saw woodpeckers, blue, great & long tailed tits, nuthatches, sheep, geese, deer & rabbits roaming around so if you love wildlife this is the place for you, don’t forget your binoculars! The owners were so helpful & accommodating giving us ideas of where to go for walks. Such a lovely spot & we thought it was a little piece of heaven on earth

A wonderful location for access to the Forest of Dean and Wales.

We loved the privacy of being the only lodge on site on a quiet farm, surrounded by friendly sheep and wildlife. A high spec lodge and owners who couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Good flexibility with booking too with no minimum nights. We had a lovely time with our two daughters. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at the Meadow Lodge!

The pods were very clean and had all the facilities you could need. Our grandchildren enjoyed playing in the surrounding area and had great fun seeing the animals and walking around the lake! They insisted that we go back for another stay. A huge thank you to Anne, Gary and all the family for their kindness and hospitality! Would highly recommend it for a get away break.

Meadow Lodge lodge was amazing!

The pod was new, clean and had everything we (2x adults and 1x 10 year old) needed for a week. Berry Place Farm is absolutely stunning and so peaceful with a beautiful lake, apple and plum trees galore, friendly lambs that would come and see you. Also pigs, chickens and geese and a cute little puppy... my daughter loved the animals. Anne and Gary were very welcoming and friendly and provided a lovely welcome pack of Asti, bread, milk and yummy lemon cake for when we arrived. The location was very tranquil and peaceful, the pod located away from the main farm so it was quiet and felt private. It felt like you were in the middle of nowhere and all you can see out of the double doors of the pod is sky, trees, grass, lambs, wild bunnies and blue tit birds. Meadow lodge is 10 mins drive from Gloucester and all its amenities and has easy access to main roads to take you anywhere. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely recommend to stay at Meadow Lodge. Thank you Anne and Gary again.

Really clean and pleasant property.

We had a wonderful holiday and a big part of that was due to the welcome we had. Anne and Gary went out of their way to accommodate our needs and our children in particular which made the holiday even better. Will be back!

Friendly and helpful on arrival.

Lovely 'get away' location. Good base to then go and discover places in and around the area. Cute and cosy 'pods' with all facilities to make a comfortable stay. Welcome treats on arrival! Very friendly sheep around! Highly recommended!

Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful peaceful setting. Comfortable size for 2 adults 2 children. Welcome pack was a lovely treat.

A fantastic little Cabin/pod holiday in a brilliant spot.

Loved every day of our stay with so much wildlife around us. Plus the friendliest sheep I’ve ever come across! Absolutely would recommend staying here for a cosy, quiet and peaceful getaway. Plus perfect walking distance to the local pub too (although the red hart in blaisdon is definitely a much nicer pub to go to not far away).
