The outside of the property looked neglected and needed a good clean.

Couldn't use outside seating as bushes overgrown. Inside also needs a lot of attention, the hob didn't work and they had replaced with a freestanding electric rings sitting on the top of existing hob. The windows were dirty and dusty cobwebs. This property would not be suitable for children. I'm sure we left it cleaner than when we arrived.

No doubt the Owner will have told you that we left the cottage about 1000 on Saturday 15 November.

He had seen that one of the single beds we had been using was absolutely soaked on Friday evening. The window had been shut all day. Also the TV was totally inoperable by ourselves, the Owner or his technical advisor when they came to investigate on Friday. There were no instructions in the cottage and we were told that it needed an aerial ! It also seems that whoever is responsible had failed to notice that - - there was no loo roll in the shower room, When the Owner helpfully produced one on Friday morning it was discovered that there were some under the kitchen sink but why not in the shower room? - there was no anti slip mat in the shower which has a flat floor and is dangerous when wet and soapy. - the Kitchen wall clock requires a replacement battery In over 60 years of travelling over several continents we have never before found a bath/shower room without a razor charge point. The Owner did produce a convertible plug during Friday. If anyone has tried to use the shower room themselves they would quickly find that it could be so much more user friendly if - - Some hooks could be fitted to hang up dressing gowns etc. - a simple shelf for wash bags etc would be more useful than an inadequate cupboard for the advertised 4 persons. - either relocation of the cupboard or a larger basin would eliminate head banging when cleaning one's teeth. The property was certainly a disappointment and not up to the standard advertised or expected. All in all we are not at all happy and trust that a refund of at least 50% will be forthcoming

Enjoyed our stay just a couple of minor things that could be improved slightly bigger sink in bathroom with plug that holds water when shaving.

Lack of cupboards for clothes to hang up front curtain or blind to pull in winter evenings but overall lovely peaceful time would definitely recommend the Pheasant Inn Toddington amazing food friendly staff
