Carps Well Lodge

This place is a beautiful example or pure nature.

You have your own area locked away from anyone else with a private lake to fish on, with purpose built pegs. The lodge is ideal and houses everything you need to support your stay. The owners who are very welcoming meet and greet you and are at the end of the phone if you need them. We'll be going back.

What a peaceful stay, where all you can here are the birds.

There a some noise from the road, but as it is a country road there is very little traffic. There is plenty of shade in the lodge, due to the lodge being nestled amongst them, and because it was hot, that was a blessing. The fishing was a bit tough, possibly due to the heat, and also the owner did point out that there is a build up of silt in the lake, but still managed a carp of around 8 to 10 lbs, and a few roach.

A lovely place to stay, peaceful for a break from the daily grind, lots of wildlife and if you’re into fishing you’ll have your own private lake!

Plenty do, with Warwick not far and local pubs to hand. Perfectly hosted by Pete and Cath.

We loved it so much we’ve already booked a return trip.

What an absolutely gorgeous place the hosts were waiting for me on arrival and made me feel instantly welcome.

The cabin is equipped with everything you need included a pint of milk ! ( nice touch) I ve stayed at a few places like this and I have to admit the quality of the cabin and comfort is by far the best so far. Many thanks for a relaxing stay and I hope to be booking again very soon

Having a large fishing lake to yourself is luxury indeed.

The carp are crafty but the roach obliging. The lodge is great for a weeks holiday close to nature (and there is lots). Don't book if you want decadent luxurious accomomdation, but it's comfortable, well enough equiped, and the hosts Pete and Cath are attentive but not intrusive - i.e. the perfect mix. If you needed anything through the week I'm sure they would respond positively. The spot is truly beautiful and you could stay put all week if you wanted, but there are multiple places of interest close by, especially Stratford. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Carp Well Lodge.

The birds , the wildlife, the log fire , the carp pool , complimentary milk and wine left on arrival by the sweetest hosts . I needed 3 days of peace and quiet and that’s exactly what I got . The only sound is birdsong and the sound of the trees leafs rustling . I will definitely be back . So glad I discovered it , a lovely little find .

We had a wonderful Easter break at Carps Well Lodge.

The Lodge was just perfect, very comfortable, well equipped, cosy and clean, set in beautiful grounds with the fishing lake all to ourselves, ideal for watching the birds, and relaxing. The hosts Cath and Pete were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we might need. There are two pubs nearby within walking distance. We will definitely visit again, thank you both for a lovely stay

We arrived at the property on Friday afternoon and left at 8.

30am on Saturday morning. The lodge was not clean with cobwebs everywhere. The bedroom had woodlice and beetles in the carpet and we had to deal with numerous large house spiders in the bedroom, living area and kitchen cupboards. Avoid this lodge. Sykes describe this as 'normal,' and both Sykes and the owners have ignored our request for a full refund. Absolutely disgraceful. I will never book with this company again.

What a wonderful place to stay.

We loved every minute. You have everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. The setting is wonderful, we didn't even feel the need to go anywhere else. It was lovely to be met by the owners when we checked in and the bottle of wine and milk where much appreciated. We are definitely going to return and would highly recommend.

Felt a microwave needed instead of air fryer.

had to be careful with the electric, had to retrip a few times. Very clean rooms. Thicker duva a must for winter visit.

We have just spent a weekend at Carps well, wish we could have spent longer.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, available if needed. This is the place to be for relaxation, watching wildlife or fishing. Plenty to do in the area, Hatton country world, Hatton locks, National trust properties, Warwick castle etc. The only reason I didn't give full marks for cleanliness was that I have a problem with big spiders and there were a few behind pictures in the bedroom and the shower but apart from that it was well thought out and equipped.

A absolutely fabulous place, my wife and I just needed a few days of relaxation.

The setting is glorious, it is a fantastic spot and we will return many times. Tony and Elaine Kirkham

We stayed for 2 nights in Carps Well Lodge and it really was the perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing weekend in the most stunning setting.

The photos don’t do it justice, the cabin and surroundings are beautiful. The owners are lovely and couldn't do enough to make sure we had the stay we wanted. We definitely plan to come back!
