Well, what an amazing review - thank you so very much Clare. It was such a pity we couldn't meet up like we wanted to - maybe next time we'll manage go out for a cocktail . . . or two at The Feathered Nest at Nether Westcote, which is our most favourite place ever ;) ! I'm so pleased that you all had such a lovely time and that your hubby got to relax and your pup, I think her name was Poppy?, had so much fun - we absolutely adore our furry guests and a holiday wouldn't be the same without them. I can't believe you managed to get a reservation at the Farmers Dog and I think you also went to The Chequers at Churchill too - another one of our favourites. Looking forward to your next visit. Hi Susan. It was so lovely to have to back again and I'm sure it was a great relief that your stay didn't involve a trip to the hospital this time!!! I'm not sure if you actually took advantage of the free extra nights stay - I hope you did, as I do try to look after my most loyal customers when circumstances allow. I'm sorry there was no umbrella on the decking for you this time but unfortunately some of our guests leave it open and up and no matter how sturdy they are if the wind picks up they always bend - we've bought two in the last 5 months and 4 in total - but I'm glad you still enjoyed sitting out on the decking. As always, you and your son left Tiggywinkles beautifully for me, for which I am always so grateful. We really hope to see you again in the future. You were the loveliest couple, so I am so pleased that you all had fun and your pooch got walked to death (well, thankfully not quite)! My hubby John particularly appreciated your comments on the guest info book, as that was his 'handy work' and it took him hours and hours to do, but it's his fault for being so anal over absolutely everything - typical ex military man! You left the lodge so beautifully for me as well so it goes without saying that we would love to have you all back again, but fingers crossed it won't be quite as hot, as that really was ridiculous! Eloise you are an absolute diamond! What a review - you almost bought a tear to my eye! I'm so pleased that you had such an amazing time and obviously loved the lodge and thank you for noticing the quality furnishings, although my towels are not as fluffy as I would like anymore no matter how much fabric softener and tumble drying I do - very irritating. I'm so pleased you went to the Chequers too. It's mine and John's most favourite restaurant ever and the food/service/atmosphere is all amazing. The fact you can bring your pups too just makes it perfect. The last time we went, Jason Statham was at the next table - I ASSURED John that I really was dribbling over my delicious food - although I'm not sure he believed me, LOL! If you do come and visit Tiggywinkles again please ask me about other restaurants and fab places to visit, as I could literally reel off a list as long as your arm. Thank you so much for leaving the lodge so spick and span and I think you were the lovely lady who left me the beautiful pink roses, for which I can't thank you enough. Hi Elizabeth. I'm so glad that you and your guests liked Tiggywinkles - what a pity you only had a couple of days to enjoy it. The fact that the site is relatively small , is very quiet and always immaculately maintained was one of the reasons we chose to buy a lodge there, as some sites are massive with lots of noisy parties going on, which is definitely not our 'cup of tea'. Hi Jayne. I'm so sorry for my late response but I never got a 'feedback alert' for some reason. I'm so pleased you had a lovely time, you certainly got the weather! I'm sorry you struggled with the 3 steep porch steps with your old doggie, and the outward opening front door is not ideal and is irritating for me too when I have to struggle with my huge bag of fresh bedding and towels, so I feel your pain! Hi Christopher.. Firstly, thank you so much for your 5* review. It is great to hear that you enjoyed the lodge so much. I'm a really keen cook myself, so it sends me mad when you stay at a holiday rental that has one wooden spoon, a fish slice, a tiny frying pan and a couple of rubbish saucepans - I mean what culinary delight can you cook with that - grrr! Another one of my 'pet peevs' is when you get 4 hangers in a wardrobe, thus why we leave about 20 in each. Thanks for all your other really useful feedback about shower pressure, heating and EV chargers that I'm sure other potential future guests will find extremely useful - it's nice to have some practical advice and feedback. I'm always so happy when my guests get some amazing weather too, especially when they have dogs, so I feel sure you found some great walks for your pooch Millie. Thanks for stripping the beds and leaving the lodge so beautifully. The en-suite shower off the Master bedroom was absolutely pristine! So much so that I wonder if you and your partner actually knew it was there?! I really hope so. Anyway, thanks again for a wonderful review. Suffice to say I would welcome you back anytime. Hi Ian. Thanks for your honest feedback. I am so sorry for the problem you encountered due to the unconnected gas cylinder which caused an issue with the heating and hot water. I was most definitely 'not a happy bunny' about this, especially as I had called the company that very morning to remind them that it needed to be connected before your arrival to ensure the lodge was 'toasty' for you. I want to thank you and your guests for your patience whilst I rectified this and assure you that the company in question got a 'piece of my mind', as I hate it when things aren't perfect for my guests. Apologies too for the noisy 'flapping'. I am however relieved that you did enjoy your stay on the whole and that you found some lovely pup walks for your pooch. Your kind words really do make it all worth while, especially seeing as I forgot to leave the milk for your arrival, as I've just found it in one of my 'changeover' bags. Most definitely caused by that unexpected bottle of Prosecco I accidentally drunk the day before your arrival - Never again! Thanks again for leaving the lodge so perfectly for me and I'm glad you approved of our new all singing and dancing heating system - it really is extremely efficient isn't it. Hi Richard. Wow, what a fantastic review, you've really made our day! It's so lovely getting such positive feedback and makes all our efforts worthwhile. I must admit a lack of 'things and stuff' needed for a comfortable holiday used to be mine and John's 'grumble' when staying away from home, so we really did TRY to think of everything, from a motion sensitive night light, toothbrush/razor charging points, fans for the heat, hot water bottles for the cold, extra lighting for makeup mirrors, games for rainy days, snuggle blankets and of course a FULLY equipped kitchen. So it really is great when these bits and bobs are noticed and appreciated. Hi Vanessa, We're so glad you, your guests and your doggie enjoyed the lodge and the local countryside - and you didn't even visit when it's at its best! I must admit it was only when you asked about the shaving points that I realised we didn't have any, so it is something I'll look into. We did actually have florescent strips on the outside steps, however due to the constant footfall they kept 'lifting' (no matter what industrial glue we used) which caused a potential trip hazard, so we had to remove them. Hi Steve, Thanks a lot for your positive feedback and for leaving the lodge so immaculately - it's such a massive treat for me when I don't have to clean the oven, grill and hob as it saves me an hours worth of cleaning, so many thanks. There is nowhere in the UK that looks as magical as the Cotswolds in the snow, although maybe I am a bit biased ;)! Just FYI there are some amazing discounted deals for shorter stays to be had Jan, Feb and March next year if you feel the need for a quick getaway. What a lovely lady you are for giving us 100/100 and saying such wonderful things about the place, especially seeing as you had no hot water for a few hours one morning, for which I am eternally sorry. Unfortunately, the central heating and the hot water run off the same cylinders and because the heating was on during the night it ran one of the cylinders out, but I was so pleased we got this rectified relatively quickly. To avoid this happening again we now have a 'Guests guide to heating and hot water' so that anyone can resolve the situation and avoid having a 'bad hair day' LOL! Hi Tanya, thank you for your lovely feedback. My partner John will be chuffed to hear that you appreciated all his work in putting together the Guest Information Pack, as it took him forever to do! We would love to have you back for a longer stay anytime and just FYI we have some great deals over the winter months and there are SO many fabby things to see and places to go even in winter, with the surrounding countryside looking truly magical when we get frosts - which seems to be a regular occurrence (beats the rain any day)! Thank you also for private texting me about the plates being too big for the dishwasher. I really do try to offer early check-ins whenever possible, as these late check-ins were always a 'pet peeve' of myself and John when we booked breaks away. However now owning a holiday home I do understand why most places have afternoon check-ins, as there is so much to do, especially when guests are leaving and new ones are arriving on the same day! Many thanks Larissa-Yasmin, so glad you enjoyed your stay. A massive thank you once again for the almost immaculate condition you left the lodge in :)! I usually hate weekend changeovers as they eat into a large chunk of mine and John's weekend time together, but it literally took me only 1.5 hours to clean instead of the usual 3.5, allowing us a couple of hours and a couple of cheeky glasses of prosecco in our local pub garden - happy days! Really hope you come back to stay for longer next time as there is so much to see and do in the surrounding area. I've got some great prices on offer late autumn and winter which would be worth considering. All the best and thanks again x

I always endeavour to get the lodge cleaned as quickly as possible to allow me to offer guests such as yourselves an early check-in, especially when they are only staying for a couple of nights, as I know myself how precious every minute of holiday time is. It really helps that ALL of my guests so far have left the lodge so 'ship shape' on their departure - something I wasn't really expecting but have been so pleasantly surprised at. Thanks a million Carly. I'm so glad you all loved it so much. We've only had it since February and we spent so much time, effort and energy making sure it had everything a guest could need for a really nice stay, so your comments really make it all seem worthwhile. We did invest in really good beds and mattresses which ARE on the firm side, but we think they are seriously comfortable too. If you do come back, you must visit Woodstock and Blenheim Palace as they are amazing, along with all the other places recommended in our Guest Information Pack (which took my partner John hours and hours to do)! Got some fab rates for the off season too which you should consider, as the Cotswolds is a fab place to visit whatever the weather. Many thanks again x

I'm a bit of a foodie and have always hated it when we have gone away only to find a couple of frying pans, a wooden spoon and a fish slice as the only kind of kitchen implement, so we really have tried to provide a myriad of utensils, mixing bowls, baking and serving dishes etc enabling our guests to cook whatever their hearts desire. I'm glad you approved of the 'site' itself as we think it really is a 'cut above' the norm, which can look a bit tired and tacky. Hi Mary, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay - it's so peaceful isn't it. We refer to the lodge as 'the Tardis', as it really is deceptively spacious. Thanks a lot Adam, we are so pleased you, your guest and your doggie had a lovely time, even if the weather was horrendous - typical English springtime! I always like to offer an early check-in if I manage to get the place cleaned early on in the day, as my partner and I know that every second counts when taking a short break away. Hopefully you will consider returning when the weather is better, so you can take advantage of the outside decking and BBQ - as it really is wonderful when the sun shines.
