The Lodge at Mortons

Beautiful accomadation, lovely position.

The view from the front of the lodge was stunning. The interior was ecxelent but the mattress on the bed was too hard.

A lovely hideaway from all the usual chaos of Xmas yet ideally placed for visits to Cirencester , Grittleton and the M4.

All was clean and cosy with a proper Xmas tree . Thank you for a pleasant stay x

Lovely accommodation on the edge of a small village and set in an orchard in the grounds of the owners house.

The cottage is very well furnished with an excellent kitchen, comfortable bedroom and a modern bathroom with shower. Parking is available next to the cottage. The owner's daughter was welcoming with information on local hostelleries.

It was a lovely property.

Outside was a table and 2 chairs which was good but were not very nice to sit on, a couple of garden recliner chairs would have been better. The facilities were good, but as I am disabled I found it difficult to get up from the toilet. All in all a nice property and a great stay excellent weather.

The Lodge is exactly as you see on the website.

Comfortable enough for two and everywhere was clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider coming back. I would say that as far as we could see there is only room for one car. Whilst we are not heavy internet users, wifi is handy when planning your days/bookings etc. and here the wifi signal was poor dropping out at times. Not a deal breaker for us but to be borne in mind. PS plenty of birds around and we did see bats in the evening.

Although the lodge was small it was well furnished and fixtures and fittings were of a high standard.

It was exactly as described on the website and was a great base to explore Wiltshire. We particularly enjoyed watching the bats feeding in the twilight. Cirencester was well worth a visit and the Cotswold water park had some lovely walks. Would definitely recommend.

It was a very nice stay at the Lodge at Morton's, The location was a perfect peaceful and beautiful area and so close to the Cotswolds attractions such as Bibury, Bourton on the waters, Castle Combe etc.

The downside was the Wi-Fi connection was quite bad and no phone signal around the area, but if you would like to relax without social media or people's distraction this is the best place for you. Lastly, the owner needs to put the name of the place sign by the road in front of the property on both ways, it is quite difficult to find the place.

The Lodge was excellent.

Had everything we needed with little luxuries included. Sitting outside listening to bird songs was a highlight. A great location, quiet, peaceful, private with uninterrupted views across fields and countryside. Easy driving along virtually empty roads visiting villages and Manor houses in North Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire. The caretakers could not have been more helpful. Our only gripe was with 2 Sykes employees, we had a problem finding the property and they were incapable of map reading until a senior employee phoned us back and directed us.

Lovely compact property in pleasant setting with views over fields.

While it does not have microwave or freezer in fridge, for a weeks stay it suited my needs.

Very clean and it had everything I needed. The owner was lovely and was helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Will be re booking again, thank you for a much needed relaxing stay!

Absolute "Gem" set with stunning views across open fields.

..quiet bliss....Great place to stay for a long wkend location offers short drive to many highly recommend pubs which serve excellent food beers and wines especially Potting Shed or Rectory Hotel where you can go for pre-dinner cocktails as Potting Shed is it's Sister. Highly recommend Horse & Groom. Close to market town of Tetbury and Cirencester along with Malmesbury. Superb walks from The Lodge. Highly recommended a stay can't wait to go back for another long wkend.

The Lodge was furnished to a very high specification and contained everything we needed.

It was a lovely gesture to find some milk and wine in the fridge on arrival, plus some tea and coffee too. These extra touches were appreciated.

It was a very highly finished cottage, ideal for a peaceful break.

The property was finished to a very high standard and very comfortable.

The host was welcoming and available if we needed help. It was a lovely area to explore, including a trip to Westonbirt Arboretum, which was wonderful.

The Lodge at Mortons was perfect accommodation for us and went beyond our expectations with the quality of accommodation and facilities.

DIRECTIONS: Were very confusing and ittooks a great deal of time to find the property and was grateful it was not raining or that we did not arrive ve in the dark.

At one point we thought we were going to have to book into a hotel! "Following the lane to the village sign for Hankerton on the left IN THE DISTANCE', Little Moreton is on the right". Your description under TRAVELLING TO THE PROPERTY. The actually description is: Travelling along Murcott Lane, about 50 yds BEFORE reaching the Hankerton sign on the left, Little Mortons is on the right. You do not actually travel into Hankerton village, which is very confusing. Disappointed your instructions are incorrect. The property was very clean, a food package was amazing with many useful products and cleaning equipment. The owner was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble his advice whenever we required this. Unfortunately, the one negative for us, was there wasn't a wardrobe, only 6 pegs in the apartment for us to hang our clothes and there were no drawers in which to put our tee shirts, underwear etc.

It was a lovely place to stay, both close to countryside and tourist towns with lots to see and do.

The owner was lovely and very helpful with all our needs met. The welcome basket was much appreciated.

The Lodge is a lovely place to stay with everything you need for a self catering holiday.

The cottage was as described all very clean ,warm and well insulated goody tray on arrival good parking.

And was just what we booked . We have been to a few Sykes cottages before and standards do vary but this is a good one wish they were all to standard.
