“We have stayed at the Beckford Yurts numerous times over the past 10yrs or more, why?”

, because they are a superb place to relax in nature. Just go and enjoy the sounds of the birds (and the wild deer !) We have seen otters, Kingfishers and on our last visit in March, we saw a Muntjack deer with her new born foal right outside our door! Where else can you get that? If you are someone who can't survive without their gadjets it may not be the place for you, but if you are in need of some much needed 'you' time, its brilliant.

The property

Lakeview Yurt is a charming 20‑foot yurt, positioned on the edge of the attractive village of Beckford, close to the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire border within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Designed as a romantic rural retreat, this single‑storey hideaway sits beside a fishing lake and features underfloor heating, a roll‑top bath, a veranda, along with the added luxury of a hot tub and sauna.

Arrive and park up, pausing as the calm surroundings gently set the mood for your stay, before stepping inside to a thoughtfully laid‑out studio space created for easy, unhurried living.

Set bags aside and settle into the flow of the yurt, making use of the kitchen for relaxed meals before sitting together at the breakfast bar to linger over food and conversation.

As the day drifts on, move into the sitting area and enjoy the steady warmth beneath your feet, keeping the atmosphere simple and uncluttered.

When evening arrives, lower the projector screen, choose a favourite DVD, and enjoy a laid‑back film night at your own pace, before winding down in the king-size bed as the night draws in.

The roll‑top bath offers a welcome opportunity to slow things further, inviting long soaks and quiet moments away from the outside world, while a separate basin and WC, accessed via the yurt, keeps the main living area open and uninterrupted.

Outdoors, life continues at a gentle rhythm, with the wooden veranda offering space to alternate between fresh air and warmth in the private hot tub and two‑person sauna, or to settle beside the chiminea with a drink as the light fades.

A nearby sun terrace with loungers provides a restful spot between dips, while the barbecue lends itself to easy outdoor dining, and with access to the lake for rowing or fishing and a well‑behaved dog welcome too, Lakeview Yurt is a place made for sharing slower days and quiet moments. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 6017, 903586 and 921614, together sleeping up to 8 people.
