Alken Cabin

The location of the cabin was brilliant.

Superb views and so close to all the "must see" places. Only a couple of miles to a glorious beach. We had good weather so were out a lot of the time. The accommodation was very comfortable and homely. Plenty of hot water and efficient heating when required. It was ideal for us, 2 adults, or a small family but probably not set up for groups of 5.

Lovely cosy cabin quickly warms up and has everything you need,key was in box upon arrival so straight in as soon as we arrived.

We had a great stay at Alken Cabin.

It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a great location to visit the nearby Giant’s Causeway and Bushmills village. We also visited Dunluce Castle and Portrush, all within a short drive.

Alken Cabin is ideally situated to explore the surrounding area.

The coastline is spectacular and so much to see. All the beaches are stunning. The glens are beautiful. The cabin was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Felt very relaxed there. Has a great view from the veranda. We highly recommend it. So much more to see so we will be back.

Lovely cabin which has all that is required for a holiday break.

Lovely views of countryside. Very close to main attractions of the causeway area. Only slight negative is that the living room furniture is tired !

This cottage is absolutely charming.

it feels like a peaceful retreat away from the world. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay forever.

Alken Cabin is in a perfect location for visiting the Causeway Coast with sites of interest such as the Giants Causeway within less than 15 minutes drive.

The cottage was clean, the bed was comfortable and the views were wonderful. We were lucky enough to have excellent weather, so even in early October we had breakfast and evening meal on the decking enjoying the peace and the views. On the rare occasion that we switched the heating on, the cabin warmed up very quickly. Our only constructive feedback is that a potato masher would be useful, and a deeper fitted sheet on the bed, but besides those two very minor points, it was absolutely perfect and we highly recommend.

This place is fantastic!

The perfect place to relax after a day exploring the most beautiful coastline. Have the seating on the porch was perfect, I think we only went inside to sleep and shower! Would be happy to spend longer here for sure.

This cabin is lovely, perfect for a short stay, ideal location for the North Coast attractions.

The extra touches make all the difference. The seats on the veranda were a lovely addition. Views over the countryside are peaceful. Kitchen is equipped enough for light cooking. Everything we needed. Easy to find and plenty of space for parking beside the cabin. Beautiful gardens. Would love to stay again if/when we visit that area.

The cabin is beautiful and spotlessly clean.

My only concern was that the mattress in the master bedroom is pretty worn out.

What a fabulous cabin

Our first visit to Northern Ireland and what a wonderful week we had!

The cabin was in a perfect location for all of our adventures along the north coast and further afield. It was cosy and relaxed,well positioned in a lovely garden and driveway that was safe for our children to play in. We found it had ample room for us as a family of 4 and amenities well thought through including dads and magazines for children, adult fiction books and leaflets/books of local areas, plenty hooks for coats, bags, towels etc, hangers, hair dryer, extra blankets. Could perhaps do with an updated full dinner set (there was only 1 side plate for example, and mis match of cups and mugs) Mostly very clean eg floors kitchen bathroom surfaces, but could do with a deeper clean behind and under furniture. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay and very pleased with our choice of accommodation.

like others have said not much room for more than 3 to eat at the table but this wasn’t a huge problem for us. The only negative was that there weren’t enough glasses and side plates for everyone to have at a meal time but this wasn’t huge and could easily be rectified. All in all a fabulous week and we would definately return.

The cabin is great and the views from the veranda are amazing it’s a shame you can’t see them from the cabin except when washing up.

The kitchen is well equipped for 1/2 people but you might struggle with 3/4 due to lack of large pans. There is no microwave which was a pain for me no easy meals after getting back late. The shower was great but I found the main bedroom very darks and the mattress uncomfortable (soft and lumpy). The lounge was a good size but I’m not sure 4 could eat easily around the table. Wi-Fi and TV very good but the sofa seats were hard and uncomfortable and you could feel the wood base in areas. Would I stay here again no because of the bed, sofa and microwave but the site is lovely and well kept and in a great location so I would try the caravan next time as it has a microwave.

We had a glorious week staying in Alken Cabin, so well placed for exploring the beautiful Causeway Coast of Co Antrim.

The Cabin is very comfortable with excellent WiFi and cosy beds, and a lovely patio out the front where you can eat, relax and enjoy the sunsets. The kitchen facilities were adequate, although be aware there is no microwave or washing machine. Bushmills is less than a ten-minute drive away and has several 7/11 style shops where you can buy anything you’d need for catering.

We enjoyed our stay very much!

It was clean, cosy and well maintained and equipped. It’s close to everything you need for a stay at the north coast. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cabin.

A lovely base for our week in Northern Ireland with everything we needed - a well equipped kitchen, spacious shower and lovely comfy bed.

Liked the way the heating worked with a choice of 3 boosts for half an hour, an hour or 2 hours. Perfect for when we got in after a day of walking in the rain

A fabulous location - central to the Causeway, rope bridge and beautiful beaches.

So peaceful with beautiful views. The cabin was just perfect, clean, well equipped and beautifully presented. The children loved playing in the garden and the bunk bed was a huge hit. Will definitely return next summer.

Easy access to the Causeway Coast attractions. We had an excellent holiday on our first trip to Northern Island, we will be returning.

A superb holiday location.

Excellent, clean accommodation with lovely outside space. Well equipped with everything we needed. The only slight issues were that it was a bit cold on the first night and there were no additional blankets and the top bunk mattress wasn't very comfortable. However we had a superb time and will be recommending Alken Cabin to friends.

Brilliant location.

8 mins from Bushmills and about 24mins from Coleraine. Peaceful and quiet and very clean. Myself and 2 children enjoyed our weeks stay. If I had to be picky I would've liked a washing machine but I still give the cabin 10/10 and I'd stay again

The cabin was well equipped and very clean but the double bed in main bedroom was creaky and very uncomfortable and we had to use the beds in the children’s room.

I cannot think of a single negative point. Very clean on arrival, great attention to detail in the cabin and Alaistair and Elaine very friendly and helpful. We will certainly book again.
