A great lodge in a nice quieter area of the park.

It’s spacious and has everything you need for a perfect stay.

Wow, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt like we were in luxury.

. when I told my children we were going to a caravan they youngest cried say he didn’t want to stay in a caravan because of their grandparents one, which is small an pokey and not big enough to swing a cat in! This one however was in fact bigger than the downstairs part of our 4 bed house!! Very impressive indeed! We went to the beach most days which was down the steps just over 100yards or so away.. be warned they are very steep and one of the only things I’d recommend to the site it to strim the top 15 steps which are pretty over grown making it difficult to grad the hand rail without grabbing a thistle at the same time. Once down you get large pebbles and then if the seas out at low tide a beautiful beach.. but be warned of the tide coming back in as you can get beached on the raised sand and have to wade back across the river formed behind you! Highly recommended for sea glass and beach treasure hunters too.. I found fossils from 350 million years ago.. as well as an assortment of sea glass and shells. BE WARNED though the sea and its current is strong and so are the rip tides! So have respect for it and do not leave any children unattended no matter how gooder swimmer! My 13 yr loved body boarding get waves because of the rocks. But if you don’t want to go down the very steep steps, go to the opposite side of the site (about 20mins walk maybe) there is another beach which has beautiful sand dunes and steps are much more accessible and easier.. not suitable for wheelchair or pushchairs but with help you could get down some of the steps with pushchair! We didn’t really use the amenities on the park other than the odd drink at the bar, where kids played at the bar play park and the amusement arcade, all the staff were really nice and helpful too. There’s a pool but unless you are part of the park itself you have to pay for £6.50/person I think it was for the week… there were lots of paid activities in the pool too.. zorbing, kids underwater torpedo type thing too! There is a shop but it’s pretty pricy for standard items so remember to pack them before you go. The caravan itself had lots of stuff left in it, salt, pepper, sugar etc but take it just incase! There’s a coffee machine (could do with a service! But it’s there if you need it!) and grinder, along with pots, pants, cooking utensils and bowls and plates though limited! And only really enough cutlery for breakfast and lunch with 5 knives and forks. But plenty of spoons! We didn’t use the bbq or outdoor furniture but it’s there if you need it! Would advise having a retractable washing line for drying things but we made do with the banister and some bungee cords to stop it blowing away… which worked very well for what we needed! Had our own internet in the accommodation as well as options for Netflix etc too… only watched by the kids in first thing and before bed. Would 100% go back we loved it.
