can only say we would recommend this to all

really enjoyed the stay.

lodge is very good. Photos showed on listing of no 6 were not from that lodge. They are all very similar, but position and shape of hot tub were not correct, so it wasn't next to the trees. Hot tub jets/bubbles on off was tempremental. Wouldn't always work and not all jets were on. All in all though it was very good value for money, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definately stay again. On site bar/restaurant was quite good. Patio space is beautiful, insider is quite nice, staff are exceptional, really friendly, food is basic pub grub and is quite expensive for what it is, but if you need to pay for the convenience of on site food, you will not be disappointed.

We had a lovely stay, bed very comfy.

The kitchen could do with some more glasses, maybe plastic for next to the hot tub. When booking this property, the pictures have a square hot tub but when we arrived it had a smaller round one.

On entering the property my first thoughts where wow lovely, open planned clean and everything we needed, fresh milk in the fridge was nice, the bed was lovely and comfortable and so where the surrounding, the hottub was lovely getting in when it was cold outside looking up and the moon and stars was amazing, the peace and tranquility was just what we needed and being able to have our young dog with us was lovely, we will definitely be rebooking for a longer stay.

Had a lovely time at the cottage, which was very spacious, clean, warm and cosy for our arrival.

The cottage was very modern and private, also had a good lawn area surrounded by bushes that was great for the dogs to use to do their business in the morning, the hot tub was great and we used it daily to relax and unwind after walking and exploring, I’d highly recommend a visit to Lansallos beach with a nice walk and natural waterfall.

We have been to Stonerush on several occasions but this time we had to pick a dog friendly lodge which was 6 Streamside.

A beautiful secluded location among the trees and away from the main thoroughfare. The lodge itself is up to Charteroaks standard which is very high although there were a couple of things that needed slight attention. The rubber strip at the bottom of the bath screen needs attention and also the wood in the corner. A couple of pint glasses would have been good as well. It might seem finicky but the standard set is very high. I could not fault the management team who resolved two minor issues we had very quickly. We will return next year, hopefully to the same lodge but if not I’m sure other lodges are of the same high standards. Well worth a week of tranquility relaxing in the hot tub and listening to the trickle of the stream below the balcony.

Only thing that would improve the lodge would be a PIR lamp near the front door to aide in your walking to the lodge at night.

Lovely lodge however few things.

The wood around the hot tub is very very rotten literally toes going through the wood. Also bottom of all the curtains are dirty very dirty need cleaning. The hoover was bit sucking properly luckily we fixed it but it did mean that the floors were not hoovered properly on arrival. And outside. We would have loved to let our pooch off the lead for toilet times but could not due to no fencing around the property. It would be ideal to have it enclosed off so she could have some off lead time seeing as though the rest of the area is lead only. It wouldn't take much to fence off your property allowing this and it would look lovely still. And lack of sunshine on the balcony area sadly I know you have all those trees should be mentioned as the pics give a different look sadly. Apart from that is a nice lodge. Needs some updating and honesty about how shaded that property is.

The lodge was gorgeous, complete with everything you could need to have an amazing stress free holiday.

Plenty of room for 2 adults, 2 children and a dog! Our favourite part was how private it was, you feel like you’re in your own little world in the trees and being able to sit on the decking with a book, listening to the stream was such a treat.

Booked Stonerush Lakes as a last minute short break in July and from the outset the customer service from Sally was superb.

Quickly recieved all the information we needed including the menus for the on site restaurant should we wish to book. Upon arrival the site exceeded our expectations. Beautifully maintained grounds and lodges in a valley with a restaurant and bar overlooking one of the lakes. As a family we have travelled the length and breadth of the U.K. and this has to be up there with the best places we have stayed. We holidayed in Streamside 6 with the wrap around decking and hot tub and enjoyed every minute of the peace and quiet and the Privacy. We enjoyed it so much and being only 40 minutes from home have booked again. Special thanks to Amanda and Sally and the team for making it such a great holiday.

went away for the weekend with the mrs and dog both absolutely loved it so did I myself, they’re were a lot of dog trails/bridways you could walk through with amazing scenery of a valley and wild animals,the hot tub was warm on arrival and stayed so right through out the weekend the jets only half worked on first day however once asking the cleaner of the tub following morning they were sorted(friendly staff), so spacious inside the design is lovely too,the stream right below our back balcony in the evenings when it was quiet was so relaxing to listen too at night with a beautiful of the stars aswell, couldn’t recommend this anymore for anyone looking to do the same :)) Ryan

Our second time at Stonerush Lakes.

Beautiful location and great onsite facilities. Large kitchen/living room area and a lovely spacious decking area which was very private. There were visible signs of wear and tear in the lodge which could easily be rectified. Just a little freshen up would go a long way. We were without heating and hot water for a while which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep but the was dealt with and management were very good in resolving the issue. Overall, we do love it at Stonerush Lakes and will definitely be back.

We had a lovely time.

Really quiet. Very well kept property. Not far from Polperro. We would come back again. So would definitely recommend a stay.

What a wonderful lodge, in a wonderful peaceful location.

Very private, and the background sound of a babbling stream whilst sitting on the deck or in the hot tub is as idyllic as it gets. Even with three small children and a dog, the lodge was very spacious. The newly opened on-site restaurant was very good, and taking dinner sat on the deck overlooking one of the lakes was a great way to spend the evening. Well located for the local coves on the south coast and also easy to get up to the Atlantic coast. Wonderful break and looking forward to returning.

We have just returned 26th May from a most amazing holiday in 6 steamside .

Home from home everything you could possibly need . This was are third visit to the site and have booked different ones for next year . "Dates Available " The hottub was a great relaxing time to end the day .

Every thing was good regarding our stay, however one of the single beds mattress has had it day(very lumpy) the en-suit bathroom requires some sealant to the shower tray and the shower head needs new bracket to hold the shower head.

Lovely Staff very polite and friendly, Informed me prior to Holiday that Club house was closed which was disappointing but the Lady was lovely and apologetic.

We were delighted to receive a card and bottle of fizz for our anniversary. Very much appreciated. Lovely location and very peaceful. Congratulations on a beautiful holiday location.

Lovely stay- a few minor issues which I have emailed directly.

Hopefully these will Be rectified before the next guest. One issue with the listing is that it shows a square white hot tub however it is one of the older/ smaller circle hot tubs.

The hot tub wasn't working properly No outside light Heating not working properly in lounge first night Dirty - dog hair in corners, dust on toilet roll holders, black on shower frame just generally not that clean Maintenance did send someone but only radiator was sorted

Such a lovely lodge.

Being able to hear the stream as you’re sitting out on the deck was just wonderful. The main bedroom mattress was truly awful though I’m afraid and needs to be replaced ASAP. I had read this on previous reviews and thought they would have actioned this but unfortunately not. My husband and I hobbled out on the last night and actually went home the night before departure because we couldn’t bare another night. We have still rated 5 star though as this problem can be fixed and I wouldn’t want to deter people from coming to this lovely place.

even more superior location than another we stayed at a few years previous. Only minor gripes: The fridge lacked a door shelf so milk had to be laid on it's side in the salad crisper: had obviously been an issue for some time as the base of the interior was discoloured from previous staining. The fridge also didn't seem to keep food cold enough. The mattress in the main bedroom was incredibly uncomfortable. I'm presuming it may have been used on the reverse side, although I wasn't brave enough to investigate further. The plughole in the main on-suite was also pretty nasty looking on arrival. The rest of the property was spotless and I can safely say we all didn't want to leave; such a tranquil place.

Absolutely loved this lodge, booked a weekend away and I have to say both me and my partner were thoroughly impressed.

I have already recommended to a friend who is going to be booking a stay. We will also be booking to stay a full week when we have some available time. The place was spotless (until we opened up the doors and the wind blew some of the neighbouring tree in) only “problem”, again related to the tree, was that there was nothing available to get the debris from the tree out of the hot tub when it was abit windy. All in all we can’t wait to come back, thank you for a lovely experience

We have stayed in a lot of self catering cottages and lodges as a family over the last few years and this was one of the nicest.

We loved the setting next to the stream and the park was quiet and peaceful. The lodge was lovely and clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable and so were the sofas. The addition of a smart TV would be good.

The mattress on the main bedroom has to be one of the worst I have ever tried to sleep on, you can feel all of the springs and metal.

Even before I got to bed, my wife said that, "you're not going to like this" and she was right! Even the slightest of movements was uncomfortable. I suffer from chronic pain and sciatica. I did mention this to the maintenance team but nothing happened! At the very least, you need a mattress topper! The ensure shower is mouldy and let's the place down. No oven gloves, wire grill rack is rusty, the oven itself is in a terrible condition. The hot tub controller is erratic, as in you have to push it multiple times just to get it to the first stage and to get it to fully functional is nigh on impossible (I did mention it to the service man, who did have similar issues with it) The fridge door doesn't have any shelves, milk had to be laid flat, along with other bottles! The central heating system is nightmare to get on! (Even the maintenance team struggled) one radiator in the lounge doesn't work! All in all, the property is very tired and needs upgrading! I have stayed on this site before and it was very different in standards! I doubt we will be returning! The maintenance team were very helpful and friendly (we got to know them quite well!!)

Lovely position by the stream on a very lovely and quiet site.

The lodge needs some attention to bring it back up to standard expected of a Sykes property. I reported this and Sykes responded very positively . Good position to visit lots of fab Cornish towns. Hot tub lush too

We enjoyed relaxing in peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

The lodge was just perfect.

Great location and the lodge felt very private with the views overlooking the stream and mot being overlooked by other properties.

Hot tub great, showers both really powerful, beds comfortable. Just two minor recommendations 1. Oven gloves 2. We had a dog and it would have been rather useful if the grassed area had the option to be enclosed like the decked area. Thank you.

Overall a nice break, on a quiet peaceful site, in a good location.

However The lodge needed some TLC & maintenance, with a broken toilet seat, dripping kitchen tap, outdoor cushion covers all looking worse for wear & springs in the mattress poking through making it not a very comfortable nights sleep. Needs a good thorough clean - the handle areas connecting to the doors hadn’t been wiped down. All minor details but certainly not the most luxurious.

Lovely walks around lakes with birds and squirrels to entertain us. Lots of places of intrest to visit.

We regularly go away for long weekends and we always choose somewhere with a hot tub.

When we first arrived at Stonerush we thought that it was amazing and that we'd definitely visit again but by the end we were very disappointed. The hot tub was only working for the first evening we were there (Friday). The next morning the temperature of the water had dropped but was still usable. We thought that it would heat up again during the day. In the afternoon we checked again and the temperature had dropped to 20°c. At this point we tried to call someone to get it fixed but the woman that we spoke with was very unhelpful and said someone would come at some point the next day. The hot tub had clearly not been checked that whole day and possibly the day before too. The next day it still wasn't working so we rang again and were told there was no one around because it was a Sunday. We went out for a few hours and when we returned it still hadn't been fixed/checked. We had to leave that evening as our son had school on Monday. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. As with lots of people, this was the first time we'd been able to have a weekend away for a long time. We would not have booked the lodge without the hot tub as it's a large part of our relaxation. I have never had to complain before about any other place. Also, the radiator in the lounge doesn't work and the shower in the ensuite doesn't stay upright. These are things that weren't a big deal at all and wouldn't have effected any reviews we give but I just thought I'd let you know.

We enjoyed the holiday.

Accomodation was nice and in a lovely setting. However, it hasn’t been particularly well cleaned, more or a concern given Covid - sweet wrappers on the floor from the last guests, dirty crockery, marks on the sheets. Shower was blocked and backing up. Not very reassuring. On site food was quite nice and take away was v useful. Mattresses on the beds poor - we ended up with sore backs come the end of the week. Hence the low comfort rating which otherwise would have been high. Staff friendly.

We unfortunately had to check out early due to a family emergency but whilst there, we couldn't have loved it more!

The cottage was beautiful - clean & homely - & I was genuinely surprised at what was in there. I had brought everything from salt & pepper, to cling film and ice trays - but all of this was already there & the welcome pack with some coffee, sugar etc was a lovely touch although again, we had come prepared for it being completely empty. The hot tub was amazing, the whole cottage was light & airy & we loved that you could get out of almost every room, straight out onto the decking. The staff at the little restaurant were super helpful - we did only call in for a drink on the Saturday evening but had we been there longer, we would have definitely sent for take out to enjoy on our deck. We would have loved to enjoy it for the full week but 2020 seems to be the year of unforeseen disasters - we will however, definitely look to do it again at another time.

This is our 6th visit to Stonerush lodges as we absolutely love the location, facilities, tranquility and home comforts.

A couple of small issues on our arrival were dealt with superbly and promptly by Jackie at The Old Mill. We loved visiting the Old Mill. Shared a bottle of wine each day, take away 1 night and dined 1night. We were made so welcome by Jackie(absolutely fantastic and an asset to Charteroak) and her colleagues. Fantastic that dogs are permitted and welcomed so our little Cocker Spaniel puppy also had a lovely 1st holiday. See ye soon x

Excellent lodge really enjoyed it here spotlessly clean

Excellent location, on nicely spaced-out holiday lodge site.

A real escape from it all, but still nearby enough to pick up provisions locally etc. Lodge fitted to high specification and was exactly as expected from information provided in advance.

Had a meal booked in the old mill for a birthday celebration which was cancelled by yourselves at the last moment and rearranged for the following day not ideal however we enjoyed the meal ,we feel that you should make more of an effort to push the restaurant as a meeting place for other families to have a drink maybe a bit of entertainment we also felt that it closed to early which was a shame but the site is excellent and we have rebooked for next year

The lodge exceeded our expectations.

Everything was ready for us when we checked in early and very clean. In a great area just a 15 minute drive to the beach, perfect short break!

We loved the place.

However, the main thermostat was not working properly when we arrived. We worked around it for the week and got the plumber to take a look on the day we left. So, that shouldn’t be an issue again. What will be an ongoing issue until it is addressed will be the mattress on the double bed which was not only uncomfortable but, in my humble opinion, cheap too. We had to use the twin beds for most of our stay as they weren’t bad. That’s the bed, but it didn’t stop there as the duvets provided were all 10.5 tog! Somehow, I think that lighter duvets should have been available... We had to resort to buying two 4.5 tog duvets from Morrison’s - not exactly what you want when you’re on holiday. Finally, and this may be considered picky, there’s no point supplying a good range of kitchen knives if they’re all blunt and there’s nothing to sharpen them with! Finally, I forgot to report that some previous tenants have damaged the blind mechanism of the twin room window. I could see what had happened but couldn’t put it right. Overall we enjoyed our holiday but I couldn’t help but wonder at the logic of furnishing a wonderful property with such a cheap mattress - after all, a good night’s sleep is essential.

99% of the holiday I would class as superb.

We have been on a number of lodge holidays with other companies but this is the first time we have booked via yourselves. I can’t recommend this site enough. The only thing that would of made our stay better is if the seating area outside have been clean. The rest of the lodges looked like this had been done or had updated from would seating.
