What guests are saying
Lovely comfortable lodge, comfy beds, had all the facilities you could want.
The Old Mill restaurant on site is fab, nice staff and lovely to sit outside. Good location equidistant between Polperro and Looe. Couple of negatives - in the twin bedroom used by the children the blinds were pretty poor, the kids were up by half 6 every day as it was so bright when usually they’re good sleepers. And the hot tub didn’t work properly, the jets only sporadically worked, it was like they overheated and tripped or something. We reported it and were told the hot tub was working as expected. I’ve never had a hot tub without jets before, essentially a hot bath! And finally, we really wished the site had a playground, we felt like it would be a real selling point.
We stayed here for a week june 15th 2026.
We stopped one of the gardens he directed to our lodge. Wow the lodge was lovely, had washer dryer , dishwasher to lovely bathrooms also one of them was on suite, a little welcome pack that was lovely . Hot tub, with seating areas decking what wrapped around the lodge, my only concern s was the wire ,what was on the lodge ,we took our show cocker spaniel who is 5 half months, We had to keep him on his adjusted lead when we was sat on the seated side. It was worth it it was so relaxing having your morning brew sat over looking onto the lake. We had a few visits squirrels Sid and beryl who we named. We did have a problem connecting to the Internet, which eventually got resolved The park was well looked after . We cooked in our lodge on a evening just had snacks while visiting the areas of Cornwall. So beautiful. We would definitely would go back .
Lovely location, hearing the stream and seeing all the wildlife was perfect, so many squirrels and birds on the railings every day, even a heron!
Such a quiet and peaceful place. Handy to have footpaths /bridleways for walking the dog too, he loved exploring everywhere. We had hoped to spend more time outside but the weather wasn't that great for us, we could easily watch the birds etc from inside though. The outside areas could do with a bit of tlc, some of the seating was a bit green, the bushes around the parking area need a bit of a trim and the guttering outside the main bedroom overflowed when it rained. Inside a bedside lamp in the 2nd bedroom would be handy and some cereal bowls would be useful too. We couldn't pick up any WiFi which was understandable being so far down a valley but it didn't worry us and when we went out we just caught up with things then. We would definitely consider returning to this park again.
