    “6 VALLEY VIEW is a lovely lodge, was very spacious, clean and tidy, the kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were really very comfortable.”

    Bathrooms very lovely, and spacious too, although it would be good to have a shelf in the main shower cubicle to put shampoo bottles on as it was a bit difficult and a bit of a pain having to bend down to pick up the bottles etc. Our comfort was compromised by the seating on both settees being so deep, this resulted in us having to use the cushions and even pillows to prop ourselves up to try and get comfortable and that wasn’t really ideal. The most disappointing thing for me was the decking. Although it was very spacious, I was expecting to see the view of the Valley, as the name of the lodge suggests. The pictures you advertise DO show the view of the Valley and that is one good reason why we booked the lodge. The accuracy of the listing is not true and I was deeply disappointed to find that tall trees and a thick bramble hedge completely hid the view. The hedge was all overgrown with large bramble stems reaching out on the decking, which resulted in the brambles getting caught on my clothing, so members of my family had to cut them back before we could sit out, so no maintenance had taken place before we arrived! We didn’t let the negatives spoil our holiday, Stonerush Lakes is a lovely tranquil site, with a lovely bar and restaurant and very friendly staff. Take out food was good too.

Thank you for your recommendations, we shall look into adding a shower shelf. I am however, sorry to read your feedback regarding the hedging, unfortunately we are currently in nesting season so we are not allowed to cut hedges until this has ended. Although we shall look into the brambles approaching the decking as this should not have been the case. 6 Valley View is a lovely lodge placed within the Stonerush Lakes resort, in Cornwall.

The property all rests on the ground-floor and hosts two bedrooms: one double and one twin, sleeping a total of four people, with an en-suite shower room and family bathroom to support.

There is an open-plan living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area and access to a balcony terrace.

Nestled on the outskirts of the pretty rural village of Lanreath, are these beautiful modern lodges. LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
