Description

Sidmouth 2.6 miles. The Cabin at East Hill Pride is situated on a working fruit farm just outside Sidmouth, this well‑proportioned log cabin provides a relaxed countryside base with sweeping views across Woodbury Common and out towards Dartmoor in the distance. Located within the friendly setting of the East Hill Pride farm shop, it’s a great option for families or friends wanting somewhere practical and well placed for exploring the East Devon coast. A short flight of steps leads up to the entrance, opening into a spacious open‑plan living area designed for easy, sociable living. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, while the dining table sits at the heart of the space, ideal for shared meals or planning the day ahead. The sitting area offers comfortable seating, a Freeview TV and an electric fire, creating a welcoming spot to unwind. A separate utility room with washing machine adds extra convenience, particularly for longer stays.

The two double bedrooms are set just off the hallway, both good-sized and simply styled for a comfortable night’s rest. The family bathroom includes a bath with shower over, offering flexibility whether you prefer a quick rinse or a slower start to the day. Outside, a small courtyard (reached via steps) provides a place to sit out and enjoy the fresh air, and the property benefits from private parking for two cars.

Staying here means the East Hill Pride farm shop and café are right on your doorstep, a family-run spot known for its homecooked food, fresh local produce and tempting treats. It’s ideal for an easy breakfast or lunch without needing to venture far. For a traditional pub meal, The Bowd Inn is close by and a popular choice, known for its friendly atmosphere and generous portions. Just a five-minute drive away, Sidmouth offers all the charm of a traditional seaside holiday. Its long pebble beach and level promenade lend themselves to relaxed days by the sea, with plenty of spots for fish and chips, ice cream or a quiet coffee along the way. The town also offers a good selection of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, alongside attractive gardens and a laid-back, welcoming feel.

For those looking to explore on foot, the South West Coast Path and surrounding cliff‑top walks offer some of the best views in the area, while nearby countryside and riverside routes provide gentler alternatives. The Donkey Sanctuary, just outside Sidmouth, is a firm favourite for a day out, while the pretty fishing village of Beer is well worth a visit for its beach and characterful streets. In nearby Seaton, the historic tramway offers a scenic journey through the wetlands of the Axe Valley. With its combination of space, setting and convenience, this countryside cabin makes a comfortable and well‑situated base for enjoying the best of East Devon.

What guests are saying

Made to feel very welcome, had instant access to cabin and found a gift of wine on the table.

Very clean and comfortable, especially the beds which you could happily lie in all day. Plenty of storage space, water in shower and bath perfect temperature and good pressure.Had fluffy towels and plenty of coat hangers! Had a washing machine and iron, although did not use them. Also had a dish washer. Only suggestion maybe to gain the 4th star would be the adding of a coffee table and some flowers in the outside private sitting area, maybe some 'emergency supplies' on sale in the farm shop, milk etc, but there is only one cabin on the site, and I think if anything was needed urgently I would only needed to have asked Very peaceful despite being next to shop and cafe .
