Lodge 62 is a smartly presented holiday lodge set in a laid-back coastal spot on the edge of Brixham, Devon. Well-suited to couples, families, friends and even four-legged guests, it offers a comfortable base with the bonus of on-site facilities and easy access to South Devon’s coastline.
Guests have access to on-site facilities, including a heated outdoor swimming pool (open 1 May to 20 September 2026, weather permitting), a bar and café serving a range of light bites and a fitness room where you can work out during your stay.
Inside, the accommodation is spacious and thoughtfully arranged, with contemporary interiors and all the mod cons you’d expect. The sociable open-plan living space is ideal for relaxed evenings, whether you’re cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, gathering around the dining table, or putting your feet up on the sofas with the electric fire glowing during winter breaks. Little luxury touches make a difference here, including quality bedding, complimentary toiletries, USB sockets and a coffee machine to get mornings off to a good start. The bedrooms are inviting and well finished, with a king-size master boasting a TV, a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room, alongside a twin room that works well for children or additional guests. The bathroom features a full-size bath as well as a shower, ideal after long coastal walks or beach days. Outside, the lodge benefits from a private, enclosed and gated decking area, great peace of mind for dog owners and parents with young children. Equipped with garden furniture, it’s the perfect spot for alfresco meals or a quiet drink as the sun goes down. The location is a real highlight. The South West Coast Path is just moments away, with St Mary’s Bay beach a short stroll, along with a scattering of pebbled coves and secluded bays. Walkers will appreciate the nearby Berry Head Nature Reserve, home to dramatic coastal views, a lighthouse, Napoleonic fort, abundant wildlife and the much-loved Guardhouse Café. Brixham itself is close by, offering a bustling harbour, fresh seafood and plenty of places to eat, drink and browse. Lodge 62 is a well-appointed coastal retreat in an excellent South Devon setting. Found the lodge clean and comfortable.
Very pleased with all the equipment. All mod cons and four of us using wifi with no issues at all. Beds were comfortable. Showers worked well and were hot. Plenty of storage. Loved the dressing rooms in both. Thoroughly enjoyed spending time here. Afternoon sun was lovely and gorgeous sunsets. The swimming pool was lovely for my granddaughter although during peak summer months we all said it should be open a little later as at 5pm it’s still hot and if you have been out during the day the prospect of having a relaxing swim is appealing. We enjoyed sitting having a coffee or a drink at The Bay. We will book again.
We booked a short break mid April 2026 Sunday to Wednesday, 3 nights.
Good communication from booking to arrival. Keysafe entry instructions were spot on. Arrived 4pm to a very large and spacious lodge. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. As we had our 2 dogs we had booked one with an enclosed decking which was all secure and safe to let them roam around on. There was a dog waste bin within 25 meters on the back wall of the grass area which again was clean and perfect to exercise the dogs. The lodge had everything you could need for a self catering stay and local takeaways also delivered to the door. We also used the nearby Bar facilities at the Bay next door. Great location and local facilities within easy reach.
Lodge very comfortable and well equipped for our stay. Possibly an improvement for our stay would have been recycling facilities fir different materials.
