What guests are saying
We had a lovely stay and were more than thrilled with the accommodation.
The only feedback I could leave is having separate bins for food and glass as we didn't know where we could put it and making it clearer where the bin bags go. Other than that had a lovely time and thank you!
The Lodge was perfect for our needs.
We were there with our adult children and father in law who is 90! We also had our two dogs and the outside garden space was great for them. The indoor space was really comfortable and well kitted out. All but one of the beds were really comfortable to sleep on and it was so helpful to have three bathrooms! The hot tub was a luxury and double fridge freezer - fabulous! The steps down to the Lodge from the road were pretty steep for a senior citizen - but that’s just a small point. It was wonderful quiet and peaceful and a perfect spot for walking down to the harbour and driving to different beaches and towns for some wonderful coastal walks! Thank you.
This the mail message we sent to Sykes zero response Good morning, We have arrived yesterday to our holiday let to discover that the accommodation is not cleaned to our satisfaction, there are cobwebs in numerous areas which include the bedroom draws and other area’s, there is a dominant Oder smell from dogs or pets that have stayed in accommodation on previous occasions.
Especially in the bedrooms where all parties have complained about the smell in the bedrooms and this clearly indicates that previous people have allowed there pets to sleep on the beds. We don’t understand how this has not been picked up by the cleaners is beyond us, we are very disappointed. All members of the party are complaining about the smell in the bedroom and around the bedding which is very strong and a very binding odour. The bedding may have been washed but the bedding is soiled are also the pillows, dog smell over powering The pillows on the lounge suite are covered in animal hair and this clearly shows the lounge suite has not been cleaned to a cleaning standard. We have discovered the pans are dirty, we have had bits on the body and we are itching this is causing problems for us in the property, the property needs smoke bomb to combat the problem, we have spray-around with disinfectant Ze- flora. the problem will be out of control and will be very concerning problem if left ongoing and unresolved. We very disappointed at the cost of the money we have paid and expected a better quality accommodation although we are happy with the facilities. It’s just the fact that the pungent smell and the lack of cleaning in certain areas, This lets the property down I don’t understand how you can ask for a protection good housekeeping deposit of £350 when the facilities are not cleaned to professional standard especially with the cost of the property for the week. We have looked at previous feedback and it clearly shows that the standards have dropped from the people who claimed that this is a lovely clean accommodation. It’s a case of either they have no standards or all the cleaners just unprofessional. Mr Andrew McNicholas
