Valley Lodge 44
Description
This villa-style accommodation at Tamar Valley Resort in Callington is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The on-site facilities include indoor & outdoor heated swimming pools, bar, shop & reception.
Arranged in small clusters along the valley stream, these typical lodge-style family holiday homes are arranged over two floors with upstairs and downstairs terraces to enjoy the outside space.
The ground floor has a double and two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The first floor has a sunny and bright sitting room with dining area and patio doors to the decked balcony with rural views and garden furniture, plus kitchen.
There is a terrace accessed from the master bedroom, again overlooking the valley with table and chairs for alfresco dining.
The communal grounds are well maintained and are ideal for children to play ball games.
This retreat is well placed for guests looking to explore both Cornwall and Devon with some fantastic local attractions nearby.
Within a short drive is the National Trust property, Cotehele, a Tudor house and valley garden estate set above the River Tamar.
A little further afield you can visit the glorious sandy beach at Whitsand Bay with dramatic scenery and sheer cliffs.
Equally accessible are Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park with undulating moorlands and a myriad of historic sites and monuments - a rambler's dream.
Valley Lodge 44 makes a comfy retreat for holiday happiness.

What guests are saying
Parking outside the property was not possible so from the closest parking to the property was a jaunt and up a few steps which was a challenge with heavy suitcases.
The grounds around the property could have been tidier though mowing on other cottages started to happen while we there. The pools were great and the lady in the shop was lovely and extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The cottage, though everything was there that you needed except a mop which maintenance did provide when I called because bathroom floors seamed quite wet. The property interior was rather shabby in places and the balconies had not been cleaned in a while. The main bedroom had a damp musty smell which was quite unpleasant. Its a shame because with some updating it could be so much more.
We enjoyed our stay here, it is basic and we don't mind that, it had everything we needed and everything worked.
You can't park outside the lodge but there are car parking spaces around the site, it is situated on a hill. The pub on site serves lovely food and the indoor swimming pool was free. We took our dogs and there's plenty of poo bins on site. We would go back.
Lovely accommodation.
So comfortable and quiet. My only negative is the radiators downstairs in the bedrooms are very small, so upstairs is warm and downstairs is cold. I also tried to let the agency know the oven doesn't work with no response.
