    “Our second visit to Manleigh Park was just as nice as the first, last year.”

    We and our 2 dogs loved it. The views over the valley, peace and quiet, very comfortable accomodation and proximity to nice beaches make the site a great place to stay. The local Co-op is very useful and friendly.

Surrounded by woodland and enjoying views across the valley towards the village and coastline, this welcoming holiday home is within easy walking distance of Combe Martin’s sandy, dog-friendly beach, where families can enjoy rock pooling, paddling and time by the sea.

Ideally placed for exploring North Devon, it also offers easy access to popular destinations such as Ilfracombe, Croyde, Woolacombe Bay and the striking landscapes of Exmoor.

On arrival, make use of the allocated parking space before heading to the lodge, taking in the surroundings as you approach.

Step inside to find a bright and well-appointed open-plan living space, complete with a kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating, providing everything required for a self-catering stay.

Whether preparing breakfast ahead of a day out or relaxing together in the evening, this welcoming space forms the heart of the home.

When the weather allows, step out onto the private decked veranda and enjoy dining alfresco while making the most of the fresh coastal air and the peaceful setting.

As night draws in, retreat to one of two bedrooms, comprising a double and a twin, both offering a pleasant place to rest.

Guests can take advantage of the park’s facilities, including a seasonal dog-friendly bar serving chilled bottled beers and a popular pasty-and-a-pint option, along with a children’s play area and an on-site launderette.

Those travelling with dogs will benefit from a dedicated exercise field, and dog towels are provided to help manage muddy paws.

From the doorstep, walkers can join the South West Coast Path and explore the striking scenery of nearby Hangman Cliffs, England’s highest sea cliffs.

COMBE MARTIN

Ilfracombe 5 miles; Woolacombe 12 miles; Barnstaple 13 miles.

At the point where the Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meet, is where you'll find Combe Martin. This small seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction to locals and visitors alike. Combe Martin has a very popular beach; the sheltered cove is perfect for rock-pooling and it is a popular paddle boarding bay. The village also boasts its own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park! Combe Martin is home to the historic Earl of Rone festival held in May each year and has an annual carnival in August. This is an ideal base for touring, and discovering the delights of North Devon, with Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple all within easy reach. There are also numerous National Trust properties and gardens waiting to be enjoyed. Surfing at Woolacombe is among the best in the South West, while the South West coastal path passes within a mile. Combe Martin is a great base for enjoying a seaside getaway, with something to keep everybody entertained.
