The Lodge was lovely.
It was very clean and comfortable.
The lodge was lovely, clean and in a peaceful spot at the end of a cul de sac.
We were surrounded by trees, shrubs and bird song. The drive to the lodge was tarmaced although a bit steep. Plenty of places to visit nearby. We had a lovely stay even though the weather could have been kinder. The only thing that could be improved was the double bed which we found sagged into the middle and squeaked every time we moved.
We didn’t have any issues with the property as our scoring shows.
However, we did have issues with the site as follows: the reception was closed for our the entire stay so we didn’t have a point of contact for the following two issue's 1/ we party booked this site because it had a bar on site but it was closed for the whole week we were there 2/ we also liked the idea of having a play area on site for our granddaughter but like the bar it wasn't available because it was was also locked off all week. Collectively we were very disappointed in that we paid £740 for this week and felt we didn’t get what we thought we were paying for. It was further disappointing to find that the price for the following week was only £495.
