Semira Tent Lodge

Our stay at Semira was outstanding.

The lodge was comfortable, very well-equipped and stylishly decorated. It contained everything we needed and more. We woke every morning to the sun streaming in and a fabulous view of the Devon countryside. The whole site was very well maintained and the owners were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We would recommend the accommodation wholeheartedly and hope to be back next year.

what a lovely concept!

A safari tent in the middle of the Devon countryside Beautifully thought out, the inside beautifully crafted from wood by the owner including all fixtures and fittings. Everything needed for our stay. Had private space outside with gas BBQ, fire pit and loungers allowing on the lay back stargazing on a clear night, the sky unpolluted by light. If there was one thing that could improve the property, that would be a to add a clear waterproof roll up hanging to the outside porch seating area to keep it dry in rain(due to prevailing wind). (But maybe I'm a bit odd in that I would rather sit outside, wrapped up, even on a cold, wet day!). Next time we come to Devon, will check availability of this property before trying anything else.

Wonderful location, lovely comfy beds, clean and very cosy. Don & Tina were lovely and very welcoming. We were greeted every day by little Brie (what a cutie) would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

A lovely place to stay with a stunning view .

Everything was lovely & clean , we had fresh milk , jam, biscuits & a chilled bottle of wine . Everything we needed was there. The bed was very comfortable & it was nice to be able to sit outside on the sofas & watch the world go by . We made use if the fire pit , the wood was provided for us . The hosts were nearby if we needed anything , even checking in on us after a storm the night before . We would definitely recommend this little gem , a peace of tranquility .

Had a fantastic stay.

The location was peaceful and the accommodation was well equipped with everything you needed. The beds were so comfortable, hard to get out of! We loved our daily visit from the owners’ little dog. Hope to return soon.

We had a lovely time at Samira.

The location is so peaceful and as there is low light pollution you get to see the stars at night. There are some great beaches within 20 minutes driving distance and supermarkets less than 15 minutes away. Really enjoyed the firepit and you have all you need for a relaxing break.

The accommodation was brilliant, far exceeded our expectations.

Loved every minute and the view was unbelievable. Highly recommend this property.

Wow!

Just wow! Fabulous holiday staying at Semira tent lodge. A peaceful spot in perfect location for exploring the area with stunning scenery. The owners have put a great deal of thought and care in designing and fitting out the safari tent with everything anyone could possibly need for a warm and cosy stay. We enjoyed cooking dinner on the BBQ and eating outside in the lovely summer evenings - perfect. Will definitely be back!

We had a brilliant stay at Semira tent lodge and would highly recommend to everyone.

It is in a great location, peaceful and tranquil, overlooking rolling fields, however is close enough to reach all surrounding places of interest/tourist spots. The owners were lovely, friendly and welcoming and they had left us fresh milk and wine on arrival. The tent lodge was beautifully decorated, clean and done to a high standard. Bath towels were provided as well as tea, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate, biscuits and porridge. The kitchen was well stocked with all things needed, (pans, utensils, cutlery etc.) The steam shower was an added bonus and was great! The outdoor area, fire pit and bbq was also a great touch that made it. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend to all! Thank you.

Lovely and unusual Semira was more than we expected.

Beautifully furnished ( safari style ) with a high specification. Bed was super comfy and shower great. Wonderful views. Just my husband and myself + small dog and we found the living space just right.. The small ish site is shared with caravans passing through but was fairly quiet when we were there. The field was very well tended and cared for. There is new Shepherds Hut (High Spec with Hot Tub!) being built a couple of metres away so not sure when occupied if the noise level would have an impact as tents don't generally have soundproofing! Weather was great for our short stay so didn’t experience heavy winds or rain. Plenty of places around the area to eat and visit so it’s well located. Tina the owner has left an info sheet . There was also wine and milk in the fridge which was much appreciated. Overall we thought it great and had a 5* stay ! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay at Semira Tent Lodge and were very pleased with the standard of the accommodation.

The location was very convenient for visiting Dartmouth and Salcombe and the view from the lodge's decking area was beautiful.

We stay in the Semira Tent this Easter, Although we were unlucky with the weather due to heavy rain and winds.

We fully enjoyed our time in the tent and Don and T check up on us to ensure we were ok and warm enough. They were very helpful upon arrival and throughout our stay and made us feel welcome. We hope to return again soon when weather is more appropriate to explore the area more.

Owners were very friendly and helpful.

They left a lovely hamper and items in the fridge for us on arrival. Site is immaculate and accommodation perfect in every way.
