10 Horizon View

I’ve always found that every time we’ve stayed we have been made to feel very welcome.

It’s a lovely property with great views. Any problems have been dealt with promptly and we have been kept informed on everything that’s happening. My only concern this time was that the lodge was not quite up to its normal standard. A couple of skirting boards were chipped or had been removed, and the flush on the toilet works but is slightly broken. Overall though I’d be happy to recommend the property to anyone, and would like to thank you all for your care.

A second amazing holiday in a few weeks.

The lodge is fantastic. Every facility available. It was spotlessly clean and maintained. The surroundings are stunning. We will definitely be returning.

Our holiday was excellent.

The lodge was spotless, with every facility available. Couldn't fault the lodge or the locality. The views were amazing and the addition of the hot tub was topped off by the view whilst enjoying the use of it. The site was great, so peaceful and scenic. Beautiful surroundings. Being able to take our dog was a bonus and she enjoyed her lovely walks around the site. I received a phone call as soon as we arrived to check that everything was fine. We can't wait to return there and looking for dates in the near future.

Very good accommodation and a great setting, the view across the valley from the decking area is amazing!

The en-suite bathroom would benefit from the provision of some additional shelving to accommodate your toiletries, but otherwise very good. The quality of the beds and linen was excellent!

The bed was a bit lumpy and uncomfortable, TV not working for half the stay.

Dead tree spoilt outlook and garden furniture falling apart, have been told it's being replaced. On the whole it was lovely and would return.

We stayed for three nights just after Christmas had a lovely break and would recommend highly.

We are returning for a stay in june already booked.

Hot tub not most powerful but held its temperature and checked by maintenance regularly. Would stay again.

What a lovely week we had.

Patio and hot tub are completely private. Grounds are beautifully landscaped and very quiet and peaceful. Lodge was comfortable and homely and the view from the lodge was amazing. Had a great time and would love to come back.

This is our 3rd stay at southern halt but the first time at 10horizon view, we loved it lovely view and great decking area only thing was hot tub a little cozy for 4 but was lovely and we took turns as 2 couples, would recommend to anyone really peaceful.

The lodge was perfect for our needs we were a group of two couples and we were able to take our dogs which was great. Layout worked so well and the hot tub was so lovely, it was perfectly placed to take in the views. The lodge had everything we needed and we have 0 criticisms. Would 100% recommend

The lodge was beautiful the views were beautiful, unfortunately the hot tub was not in a good condition the filter kept coming loose when you turned tge hets to try a get more bubbles they unscrewed and did fell off there was no power and in my opinion this needs updating

Very quiet with lovely views. My daughter and son-in-law also enjoyed the hot tub. They did comment about the decking especially around the hot tub being in need of replacing as they felt it was not as strong as it should be (obviously due to its age) Would not hesitate in recommending Souther Halt. The site was so well kept and not a piece of litter anywhere. We all enjoyed our lodge very bright and spacious.

We have stayed in lodges over britain this is by far the most private clean outstanding views we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

The girls in the office are so polite helpful i will advice anyone looking for a quuet peaceful holiday this is your site thank you all involved 100 per cent recommended we have already booked again for next April can't tell you how much we enjoyed the stay thank you

The lodge was well equipped and comfortable.

The view from the lodge was absolutely amazing. The only downside was the facility and maintenance of the decking and hot tub. The decking needs urgent repair/replacing especially around the hot tub as this is sinking. There is a lamp buy the patio doors which needs to be removed as this is dangerous and could cause a fire due to the lights getting which could get far too hot as it was noticed some burnt marks on the blind behind the lamp. The experience on the whole was fantastic and very relaxing and would definitely be coming back again and would recommend to my very large family to come over from abroad.

Hi we have stayed at this property before, we travel regularly to Cornwall my mams hometown she is now 83 and actually lived on Havett Rd in the 40/50’s as a farm.

I had 3 lodges for my family 8,10 and 11. They were particularly clean and the decking dangerous for the little ones. There was a leak in the bathroom at 11 which looks like it had bern leaking for a long time by the colour of the wooden floor. We stay the same week every year not sure about next year now very disappointed.

The lodge needs updating and decorating as it happened to have all the same things wrong as when we stayed there last year the decking is rotting and the heating system needs changing as no one can work it just a bad experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this property in April 2023, a real home from home with quality comfortable furnishings.

Will surely come again and recommend to others wishing to have a break on Cornwall

Lodge was perfect. Perfect area for reaching lots of attractions.

In need of a great deal of TLC to bring it up to the standard it once was .A pity as the location is wonderful We wont be staying there again

The lodge was really comfortable, clean and the kitchen was well-equipped for if we wanted to stay in and cook a meal. The views were amazing through both the huge windows and from the gorgeous hot tub. We had read a review about the jets not working in thd hot tub, but quickly worked out that they are all individually able to be turned up or down by turning them, which was perfect when the kids wanted to be in with us! I also rate my stays based on the water pressure in the showers, and this was fab, so me and my hair were happy :-) Thank you for letting us stay, we all loved every minute!

Lovely location and lodge was great

Lovely property and perfect layout and very comfortable.

The site is quiet and seculed and every lodge very private. So perfect for a relaxing getaway. However, looking a bit tired in places and shower head and screen/curtain in need of a deep clean or replacing. Would be nice if TV in lounge was a smart TV like the bedroom ones. Would of been nice if a notice was on the general notice board that restaurant at Stonerush closed for a bit, before driving there. But overall would recommend. (Side note we enjoyed so much considerrd ooking into the feasibility of buying one, but phone number listed was for security...went to stonerush hoping to see someone at the Old mill reception/restaurant no-one around and all locked up)

Always loved our stays at the charteroak properties. Will definitely be back in the Spring!!

Property very good, but needed a step at entrance and patio to help the less agile.

TV remote control on/off button not working despite help from staff. Only way to on/off was to use plug behind TV. Also reception not good.

We Arrived a bit early and the cleaners were still there, so we sat and admired the view, which is stunning.

When in we soon made ourselves at home. Very well cleaned to a very high standard. Had a wonderful time and will definitely be booking again for next year, although probably a little bit further down, we found that you had to drive for at least an hour to find some really nice beaches for us all and the dog who had a great time, who couldn't wait each morning to say hello to the person who checks the hot tub, which was used a lot by us all. Lovely Lodge although like i said very quite. Liskeard not the best of towns, most takeaways deliver but either not nice food or just very expensive. A couple of things to suggest. Perhaps a small stool in the kitchen so we could reach the top shelves. A clock perhaps . In the visitors information booklet, phone number of local vets in case of emergency.And please could someone fill in the holes in the driveways going to the lodges. Thank you John Winpenny
