We absolutely loved our stay!
The accomodation was cozy and clean and the site quiet and well maintained. We are already thinking of coming back later in the year to properly appreciate the sauna and jacuzzi bath!
After staying in another lodge (#24) the previous week, I must be honest and say this lodge was a huge disappointment — to the point that I ended up returning home the same day.
I have stayed in this lodge twice before, but it has been two years since my last visit and it is clear that it now requires significant renovation. I’ll list the main issues below, as I would strongly recommend avoiding this lodge: - Visible water damage and missing paint around the hot tub - The shower floor was stained yellow - The cinema room seating needs replacing; the faux leather is badly deteriorated, and the wall colour does not match the listing (green instead of blue) - The microwave smelled strongly of curry, with food residue visible on the back ceiling - Drinking glasses were not clean and felt greasy to the touch - The pan drawer had greasy marks at the bottom - Some of the lights near the front door flickered - There was also a noticeable chemical smell in certain areas I don’t expect perfection, and I understand that I was visiting during the off-season (December). However, I do expect the property to be properly cleaned and maintained. I’m extremely disappointed, as this falls well below the standard and quality I have come to expect from Meadow Retreat Lodges.

19 Medow retreat was over all wonderfully accomidation. Sadly let down by a few issues Bath surround poorly finished (paint) Chairs in cinema room in very poor condition Not enough crockery plates very scratched When we tried to leave at 10.30 at night rhe meadow site gate wouldn't open. We rang the security number on gate but they were not able to do anything. We drove to the other gate near reception and that worked. Not sure if their was a time lock we were unaware of. Would definitely return to the site.
