6 Faraway Fields is a beautiful single-storey holiday lodge positioned near Bodmin Moor and the South Cornish coast in Dobwalls, Cornwall.

Put on your favourite tunes on the Smart TV and have a karaoke or dance party while your group's designated chef whips up a feast in the fully-equipped kitchen for you all to dine around the dining table or out on the furnished decking when the sun is shining.
As evening settles, don your bathing suits and venture out to the hot tub.

In the other direction, find Bodmin and Cardinham Woods with stunning nature walks, a beautiful valley and bubbling stream.

We had a fantastic stay at Southern Halt Lodges in a private four-bedroom lodge with a hot tub.
The lodge was spotlessly clean on arrival and had everything we needed for a comfortable family break. The private setting made it feel peaceful and relaxing, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind after a day out. The location was also ideal, with the Eden Project just a convenient drive away, making it a great base for exploring the area. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and the lodge was well-equipped with all the essentials, making it feel like a home away from home. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend Southern Halt Lodges to anyone looking for a relaxing family getaway.
We booked very last minute to get away for peace and quiet, but we had none.
We arrived to hear next door (7) having a party with extremely loud music until late. (Therefore making us sleep in the other double room, and not the master bedroom). Next morning no 5 was being painted on the outside for next couple of days ( Sunday he started before 7am)! and on our last day Tuesday he was pressure washing the outside so we couldn’t sit on the decking and therefore went out for the day.The glass, inside and out was very dirty. (Green mould on outside decking glass). Outside chairs also. Hot tub was lovely. Needs sun loungers. Lovely clean linen and towels. The inside was very nice as well, just need to keep on top of the cleaning. On site food of some sort would be helpful.
Another great holiday at Faraway Fields, this our 3rd stay.
We were delighted with No:6, lovely and clean, comfortable and kitted out well. The hot tub was perfect and warm on arrival. Now looking to rebook in 2026.

Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am
Guests are expected to be considerate of neighboring properties and other guests on the resort. Excessive noise or breaches of site rules may result in intervention by site management and deductions from the Good Housekeeping Bond.

During the bird nesting season, typically between March and September, the reeds may appear more established than shown in some website photographs. In line with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, vegetation management may be restricted during this period to help protect nesting birds and other wildlife.
