What guests are saying
Overall the lodge was very comfortable.
It looked fantastic from the outside. It was well equipped, however; there are a few things that could improve the overall stay. Leaving enough washing up liquid, hand soap and even just a couple of dishwasher tablets. We had a very peaceful holiday staying at Moonlake. The grounds were stunning and the furnishings were to a high standard. There were a couple of cleanliness issues. The washing machine needs a good clean, the drawer was full of mould. We also found a packet of prescription medication from someone else under the double bed. This could have been avoided had the cleaning been done to a better standard. Other than the few things that were not to our standard the stay was very comfortable and it's clear a lot of love and thought has gone into the lodge. The welcome basket was a lovely treat. The information pack was very helpful and communication with the owner was swift when we needed to. The owners directions to the lodge to avoid miles of single track roads were spot on as well. A little tip, always turn left out of the complex if you want to avoid miles of single track road. My family and me very much enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend it to others seeking a peaceful, well kept location.
Lovely chalet but golf facilities all close for refurb.
Access down narrow lanes but as club closed all quiet!
A lovely place to stay and the owner kindly left some drinks and a delicious cake (with no nasty ingredients)from the post office a few miles away(collective).
The Fish and chip shop is exceptional also part of collective so worth a visit. Just a couple of small things to note, the washing machine tray needs a good clean as it has mould.Curtain hooks fell off and the bathroom plug has something missing so difficult to use(plus needs a clean). These a minor things as the area is stunning and surrounded by beautiful Pine trees, would certainly recommend. Many thanks.
