The kitchen fridge was broken on door so couldn’t stand milk up. The bathroom floor was black with dirt, radiator full of rust, bath panel all broken with mouldy grout all around bath. The outdoor furniture was very old and wobbly not ant anll like picture. Inside curtains were old and stained, settee stained with paint on back of one cushion and a board underneath cushions, not comfortable at all. The accommodation was not holiday let ready and very old dated and tired looking with overwhelming smell of damp/must. All have been reported with images taken as well. I have not been contacted at all in regards to my complaints regarding the property, which I would expect from a well known company like Sykes, service is not of a high standard. The advertising photos have changed since I booked, it went from 18/19 photos up to 35 and they changed the day after I arrived having made a complaint. The photos are very deceiving. The complaints service which I have tried to use from Sykes is not of a high standard at all, and when you pay your hard earned money for something that’s not fit for purpose, it’s not right and there seems to be no accountability. The facilities at Honicombe Holiday park were to a good standard, lovely pool in and outdoor, tennis courts good, games room a great addition, gym well equipped, and changing facilities good and clean.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the property did not meet your expectations and that your experience fell short of what we aim to provide. Please be assured that Sykes took your concerns seriously and responded by communicating directly with the property owner. Due to the peak season and high volume of enquiries, response times may have been slightly longer than usual, and we’re sorry if this caused any frustration. Ahead of your arrival, a property consultant visited the accommodation and confirmed there were no signs of damp or mould. Following your complaint, both the owner and the consultant carried out a further inspection and again found no evidence of damp or mould issues in the property. Regarding the fridge, the owner was awaiting delivery of spare parts and unfortunately was unable to complete the repair before your arrival. We understand how inconvenient this must have been and apologise for the disruption. We’re also sorry that the overall condition of the property did not meet your expectations. Since your stay, all reported issues have been addressed and rectified, including the replacement of the outdoor balcony furniture. We appreciate your comments about the facilities at Honicombe Holiday Park and are pleased to hear you enjoyed the amenities available. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we’re grateful you took the time to share your experience. Property Owner
