    “Had a lovely week staying at Honicombe, Valley Lodge 33 was very comfortable and the hot tub was great to relax in after a busy day.”

    The lodge had everything we needed and Val, the very helpful owner, even provided a Welcome Pack, including treats for our dog! The Honicombe Arms is popular with holidaymakers and locals alike, stocking a wide selection of beers and the food served is good quality. We didn’t use the outdoor pool but used the indoor pool, which looks a bit tired but is a good size, and the Sauna. The park is quite rural, and is a good 45-50 minutes from Looe and Fowey, but is a good base for a ...

Upon entering your new home, be impressed to find three neatly-presented bedrooms residing on the ground-floor; consisting of a king-size with its own en-suite facilities and two twins, along with a sleek shower room, it provides the perfect spot to unwind or catch up on some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Ascending to the first floor, take advantage of a spacious open-plan living area, boasting a well-equipped kitchen with all the necessary appliances required to ease your self-catered stay, as well as a dining area and sitting area with Smart TV.

If you like to enjoy mealtimes alfresco, take advantage of a private decking area to feast with loved ones as the sun sets in the distance, before taking a dip in the bubbling hot tub and resetting in preparation for another fun-filled day.

Tavistock 5 miles; Plymouth 18 miles.

The small rural village of Gunnislake lies on the steeply wooded banks of the River Tamar. It has village pubs and a small selection of shops. Notably, the village sits at one end of the scenic Tamar Valley Railway - with regular services along the river bank to Plymouth. The area is perfect for exploring Dartmoor, the south and north coast beaches and the attractions of Cornwall’s far west. Close to hand, the Dartmoor town of Tavistock with its pannier market, pubs and restaurants is a must, as well as the popular fishing village of Calstock, renowned for its crafts and festivals, while the Donkey Sanctuary and Cotehele House and Gardens (NT) are just 10 minutes away. Enjoy a round of golf at St Mellion (8 miles), explore the restored Victorian mining village at Morwellham Quay (4 miles), search for otters and deer along the Tamar Valley footpath, visit the National Trust owned Lydford Gorge, or take a trip to the beach and picturesque harbour at Looe (25 miles) - there’s something for everyone.
