A lovely rural location with views towards Dartmoor, the chalet was far more spacious than we expected, it has lovely beds, comfortable sofas and a good carpet upstairs.

Sadly it also has downsides; there are no small windows to leave open - so it was very hot after a day out. The kitchen lacked basics like a colander. I enjoyed staying here and would return in cooler weather, but it did feel a little unfinished.

Lovely location - peaceful, lovely views but not remote.

Peacocks abound and just felt comfortable and relaxing after days walking the the South West Coast Path.

Lovely place but no opening windows downstairs, apart from doors which would useful in the heatwave that we experienced, also the residents peacocks were very noisy from first light and rather in your face at the front door.

The kitchen needed a colander or sieve, and a couple of serving spoons

Great location very close to town but far enough so you get the 'countryside vibe'.

The accommodation was as described. We received visits from the owners friendly peacocks everyday which made the experience so unique. The only downside, was the lack of shade as we stayed at the property during a heatwave. A big garden umbrella would have been appreciated. Appart from that everything was spot.

This is a stunning property in an unlikely location.

Cracking vista and a peaceful valley. The property is a quirky but brilliant building…I I couldn’t give top marks for comfort not because of any furnishings or facilities which are top drawer for the property style but because of the temperature in the building remained very high despite the heating never being on. However that wouldn’t stop us from returning.

The property was even better than expected!

We were welcomed by numerous delightful Peacocks. The location was perfect for travelling out from but the facilities also tempted us to stay and take in the peace and surroundings. Altogether a great place at a great price, we will be going back.

Very cozy cottage for a winter short break.

The log burner was fantastic, as were the views when it stopped raining.

It was a valentine's suprise for my girlfriend,I only told her it was in newton abbot?

And the suprise and joy on her face was fantastic to see

Very homely and a lush log fire. We stayed at Christmas and a real tree was an added luxury extra.

Quiet location lovely property centrally located for visiting other places.

Peacocks and Peahens that visit you in the morning really enjoyed our stay. This is just a suggestion small table and lamp by sofa near window we had to put cups on the floor and the lamp would help with reading. Also a companion set by wood burner for cleaning it each day.
