Daffodil Lodge

My wife and I spent an excellent week at the Daffodil Lodge Mullacott near Ilfracombe, Devon 13 - 17 July, 2026.

The site was very well maintained and clean, it was also very quiet, eventhough there was a mixed age group. Our accommodation Daffodil Lodge was very clean, the facilities in the lodge had everything we needed for a welcomed break. We would highly recommend Sykes Cottages, they offer a very high standard and excellent facilities.

A SUPERB HOLIDAY AT DAFFODIL LODGE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT THE FURNISHINGS AIRINESS AND LIGHT PLENTY OF ROOM FOR MYSELF WIFE AND PET DOG JESS LOCATION ETC PLUS FACILITIES WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND AND RETURN OURSELVES CONGRATULATIONS TO THE OWNERS AND ONCE AGAIN TO SYKES COTTAGES.

Accommodation was overall nice and bright lovely choice of colours kitchen well equipped now for the not so perfect things Firstly and the main reason for my marks is that this property is except for few hedges is right against the main road and the main bedroom been at the rear you couldn't sleep with window open due to road traffic noise and it was really muggy trying to sleep had this been put in the property description I wouldn't of booked it unfortunately although a portable fan was in the front room there was no where suitable to use in bedroom Also not a big thing but plenty of leaflets about the immediate area but all out of date I fetched new ones from tesco and left in 1 of the draws also out side light which is tapped up and looks really tatty could do with replacing was dark at night

The lodge was very clean and tidy.

Everything you needed was there. The decor was excellent - you can see that the owner had taken time to make sure everything was lovely. The kitchen would have benefited from a dishwasher. We had a lovely week and would definitely return. Many thanks.

The Lodge was lovely with all you require in it the only thing that let it down was the noise from the road

Daffodil lodge was really relaxing spotlessly clean with everything one would need.

The site was very quiet parking and easy access to the main road, the on site restaurant for breakfast was also very good. Would recommend to any prospective holiday makers.

A few small glitches: had to clean toilets as residue under loo seats , small dark hairs on liquid soap dispenser in en-suite.

Tray on glass shelf very dirty! Shower cubicle around by sliding door dirty. Main bedroom dusty , I cleaned it ( dust build up on head board & lamps, dust in side table drawer. Radiator in kitchen rusty& marked. Also was surprised at how close to Road we were. Heavy traffic day & night had broken sleep! Also hedging at back of lodge when windy bashing up against wall waking us up. Still enjoyed our break & im sorry had to bring up the glitches as it didn’t put a downer on our break . I have taken photos if owners wish to see.

Daffodil lodge was like home from home everything you need comfy and relaxing have booked again

Weymouth had a fantastic week here.

Would be recommend to anyone who wants a lovely accommodation base. Never wanted for anything and I'm sure we will return.

A very pleasant lodge with everything you’d need from Towels to baking foil.

Nice comfy bed and a view of the playing field from the lounge. I spent 5 nts there and thoroughly enjoyed it even with inclement weather. Perhaps check with the owner all the things that are available as I’d brought washing up liquid, hand soaps and extra toilet rolls etc. which weren’t needed and unnecessary baggage. 100% recommend.

Daffodil Lodge is perfectly positioned on the site and for driving to all local destinations- Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, etc.

The Lodge is well stocked, cosy and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to return to it next year. Thank you.

Daffodil lodge was lovely and clean there was everything you need for a great stay everyone we met on the site was so friendly the location of daffodil lodge was spot on for exploring the area would definitely recommend

The lodge was superb, way surpassing our expectations.

Everything you could need for a holiday was provided, alongside information regarding places to see in the area and dine at. Everything about the lodge was brilliant, spotlessly clean, two bedrooms, which was nice for storing luggage in the spare one(only two of us). Two bathrooms and the living room was spacious with a very good internet. A very peaceful and quiet holiday park. Owner very helpful with any queries we had regarding our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay at daffodil lodge again, wonderful place.

A good location for us to visit Woolacombe,ilfracombe & Combe Martin plus more.

Very nice chalet with everything you could need for a short stay, everything is literally next door, bus stops, shop, and pub/restaurant, thanks for letting us stay.

Booked for a 5 day break just before Easter.

Perfectly located to access Ilfracombe, Woolacombe etc. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, fresh, well decorated, furnished and very comfortable. Very well equipped and boasts a large raised decked area for the warmer days. Car parking right next to lodge, spacious parkland to enjoy and views of the sea as you approach the lodge. Restaurant on site “Depot” a must for good atmosphere and food/drinks and a 2 minute stroll from the lodge. Would definitely recommend a stay here and will most likely rebook in the near future.

Spotless,cosy, beds amazing and linen etcetera lovely.

Relaxing decor very comfortable and warm. All the extras greatly appreciated , the owners thought of everything even for my little dog who had a lovely time. I have booked with Sykes four times now and this Lodge is ten out of ten

The lodge was very clean warm and well equipped.

The beds were comfortable with good clean linen. Different patio furniture would be appreciated as the weather was not kind to us during our stay and when the sun did shine we were unable to sit outside on our patio due to there being only a wooden and uncomfortable picnic table and bench which was always too damp.

Lovely lodge comfy beds, everything you need is there.

Just one problem the duvet in the main bedroom was dirty and there was black dog hair everywhere, so had to hoover when we arrived.

We had a lovely week at Daffodil Lodge.

It was clean, comfortable and had rugs, treats and toys for May , our cockapoo. The site was also very clean and well maintained. The Depot is also a good spot for some good food. Apologies, on behalf of my husband, he packed up the complimentary Fairy Liquid by mistake!

We had a lovely week at Daffodil Lodge, the property was very warm, clean and comfortable, it is very well equipped and has nice comfy beds.

The park is well maintained with easy access to beaches and towns. We would happily return.

Comfortable beds and quality bedding, The dog was well catered for with treats blankets etc all though we took our own cage and bedding.

The cleaning could have been improved their was dust on skirting and we had to empty the vacuum before we used it and a mug we took out of the cupboard had coffee in the bottom. The lodge is close to a busy road we found quite noisy especially as we live in a quite area.

i loved the doggy treats and extra throws for my dog .The lodge is perfectly placed for visiting local beach's and Tescos just 5 minutes away .The local restaurant is also dog friendly.

Gorgeous so comfortable and cozy , great for our dog too , he had lots of treats , blankets, toys he loved it and the beach was a big bonus.

Hot water bottles and bed socks for us. A must we will definitely be back.

We had a very enjoyable stay at at the Daffodil Lodge despite the awful weather.

We loved that there was a welcome pint of milk on our arrival. the information booklet was very helpful and informative. The best dog friendly place we have stayed in, with great items for the dog to use. It was such a high level of cleanliness you wouldn't know it was a dog friendly lodge. A great time was had.

We all enjoyed our stay at Daffodil Lodge , particularly our furry friend!

We all felt spoilt and well looked after. It was truly a home from home for us . Your ‘Bible ‘ had everything in it and was so informative. Access - wise , it worked well as one of group used crutches to move in and out of /around the Lodge. Only thing to consider, is maybe have handrails in the en-suite shower to ensure better access. We all wanted to stay for longer, and hope to come back again soon. Thanks again.

It would help if there was storage for condiments, cereals, bread and other foodstuffs we brought with us.

Apart from that the property was excellent, clean, well furnished with all cooking utensils needed. The location was perfect for exploring each coastline and Exmore. Big positive was the free Wi-Fi especially with the indifferent mobile signal.

Daffodil Lodge was comfortable and clean with everything you could need from a holiday home.

Really enjoyed our long weekend. Would highly recommend.

A lovely birthday treat for me.

The site and lodge were well maintained. A great stay (except for Storm Agnes!!) but we felt safe and warm in the lodge. The care and attention for our pet dog was the best I have seen. Blankets and treats he really enjoyed himself. Due to our age my husband and I probably will not travel that far again, but I will look at booking a holiday nearer our home. We had a lovely stay.

The accommodation was 5star. We loved that our little furry family member was looked after too. Lovely little touches. This location was fabulous for the places we wanted to revisit. And the added bonus or an amazing eatery/ pub within walking distance..

Everything was lovely. Perfect location lodge was clean had everything in it that we could possibly want..would quite happily stay there again

The lodge was lovely we were about to go shopping and found the freezer door was thoroughly frozen up and 2 inches inside.

The fridge wasn't cold and the pint of milk left for us was still in date but had gone off. Phoned the number and they said to use all the towels and defrost it. It took over half a day of our holiday. Towels were replaced 2 days later after phone calls. After the fridge freezer started to freeze back up. Suggested they need to replace it ASAP.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge , perfect peace and quiet , my only concern that we was very close to main rd and I was a bit anxious about it , it could possible be mentioned in summery , overall though very pleased with the lodge , riger sylvester

Excellent Lodge, very clean and tidy.

Hosts had left tea bags , sugar and milk for our arrival which was a nice surprise. Bedrooms were well equipped and the En-suite shower was very good. The TV was adequate for our needs in the late evening. Kitchen facilities were also good. Great location , could get to most site seeing locations within half an hour. (Exmoor Zoo, Ifracombe etc' ). Pub at the top of the site if you fancy a drink/meal. It is a quiet site with a large grass play or dog walk area, but that suited us, as we got back to the site early evenings. Would stay here again.

Very well equipped and clean.

However some things need attention. The walk-in shower in the en-suite produced extremely hot water which could not be controlled. The temperature control mechanism did not work making the shower quite dangerous to use. The dining table chairs were in poor condition and a possible danger as their backs were unstable. The television is too small and difficult to see clearly from the settee (at least for elderly people). It had also been left in a confused state re the channels. Not all the electric lights were working. The sofas were very uncomfortable. In addition we were very disappointed in the Mullacott Park site. Although most of the lodges looked very modern and well cared for there was also a lot of debris strewn around the park. In addition there was no reception, the cafe/coffee lounge was closed and the launderette very shabby looking. There was also only a small space between our lodge and the next one making it difficult to park our car.
