What guests are saying
This was a lovely lodge.
So well equipped with many extra items that were not mentioned in the listing. It was a home from home & we had a great holiday.
We had a lovely week w/c 25/7/26.
On arrival we found the parking area by the lodge quite difficult to turn into due to a low hedge on the side of the access road and it was not possible to park both our cars on the hardstanding, fortunately there was additional parking spaces not too far from our lodge. The only other small niggle was that both keys were badly corroded (I guess from being kept in an external key safe) and the front door lock was extremely difficult to open with the key. Other than that the lodge was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay immensely.
To be fair the Pub The Depot was welcoming and the food was good .
The shop was well stocked with most needy items . The site laundry was in need of a facelift , But the site felt rather overcrowded and as a result lacked privacy . Ocean terrace 28 , had a rather musty smell , that may have been down to the smell coming through the plug holes and sofas etc . The dishwasher did not work , although switched on and starting the cycle it failed to fill up with water. Also the freezer was frosted up and we were only able to use one centre drawer. It was a struggle to unlock and lock the front door, it was really stiff and the keys were very rusty. We had to have the windows wide open all night as the weather was oppressive , and at street level this felt very insecure , only two fans were supplied for a three bedroomed stuffy lodge .sorry but cannot recommend this particular lodge , not value for money
