Poppy Lodge

Poppy Lodge really is a comfortable homely place to holiday.

We spent a week there & enjoyed it immensely. I think this lodge is in one of the best positions on site, very private, with fantastic views from the decking area across fields. Unfortunately we couldn't see the sea as distant trees now block that view. Sarah left us a welcome pack which was very much appreciated.

We have had the most enjoyable holiday in poppy lodge.

Itwas everything promised,clean,comfortable and home from home,all in all the perfect place for a holiday . We may return if our health holds up. Thank you.

Poppy Lodge was everything we could have wished for.

We were totally won over by our first visit to poppy lodge in 2024.

We just had to go back again this year 2025 and were greeted with a similar welcome pack and the same home from home feeling as soon as we walked in. The owners are attentive to every small detail of comfort and call to make sure we are happy. The lodge is a credit to Sarah and Rob they should be very proud of it. Ann and Derrick

Well equipped kitchen, and a nice airy lounge area. A real little home from home. The site was nice and quiet and a great location to explore North Devon.

A very well maintained lodge, thoughtfully and well provided and in a prime position on the site.

There was a very kind welcome pack and the owners clearly make every effort to ensure guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. It is a pity, however, that the standard messages from Sykes seemed rather negative and much less welcoming.

We have been holidaying in the area for many years but this is the first time at this site and this privately owned lodge.

The site we used to stay at was sold and became private after the lockdown. We found this lodge by accident, using Sykes, as we have done in the past. This is a fantastic lodge. It is on the edge of the site with space around it that gives privacy, very nice views and is quiet. It is very much the best holiday accom. we have stayed in. Beautifully fitted out with everything you could wish for and more and was immaculately clean. As soon as we walked in we thought, wow, you could live in this lodge. There was a very generous welcome pack in the kitchen and a lovely welcome notice. There is a good size parking area next to the lodge it and it is easy to find. We had contact from the owner the next day to ask if everthing was ok and was there anything we needed or they could help with. We will have no hesitation about staying there again.

A lovely place to relax after days out. The Lodge is very well equipped and is in a good position on the site. The owners Sarah and Rob are attentive and want you to enjoy your stay. Excellent very welcome, welcome pack!

We had a lovely comfortable stay in Poppy Lodge which in our opinion is on one of the nicest locations on the site.

The lodge was very homely, clean and had everything you could need for an enjoyable stay, it was very well equipped and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch.

The inside of the lodge was beautiful, clean and comfortable, however there was extensive noisy, muddy building work taking place a few feet away from the lodge itself.

A new road is being put in alongside for access to numerous new lodges which are being brought into the fields behind. Hence the area around the lodge is no longer what it was.

We had a lovely stay at Poppy Lodge.

Welcome pack was the best we’ve ever had. The lodge was very clean and comfortable. Very well equipped. It’s a lovely base for visiting other areas, only 10 mins drive to Ilfracombe and it looked to have a regular bus service. Unfortunately there was some ground work happening directly outside the Lodge during our stay but this was completely out of the owners control and she kept in touch regularly with us about this situation. It didn’t spoil our holiday. We would return.

It was an amazing experience, the lodge was completely clean and fresh of breath air if you want to get away from work and home.

The owner was so kind and helpful with the respect given recommendation place to visit and restaurant. My kids loved our stay in the lodge and we will be visiting again. Not far from town and close to the beach. Many thanks S Koro

It was like home away from home… accurate description of the property, easy check in and check out process. Welcome pack with some essentials.. lovely beaches short drives away and weather was perfect as well.

Owners Lovely and very helpful, Poppy Lodge is wonderfully furnished, comfortable, clean And is situated close to local beaches and amenities.

The accommodation was excellent and the owner very helpful in her communications.

It would have been good if there had been a directions' notice for Meadow View lodges 1-20; there were for all the others. The wooden steps from the decking were not so easy to see going down them because they rather blended into each other in appearance. There was a need for a white/yellow line along the edge of each one.

Poppy Lodge is the best holiday home we have stayed in.

It is lovely and bright, clean and peaceful, with lovely views over the meadow. The welcome pack was varied and generous. The games provided in the cupboard was an added bonus for evenings or wet days. All in all, we found Poppy Lodge to be a lovely home from home - we couldn’t fault it! We thoroughly recommend this property.

Peaceful and comfortable

I found the double bed uncomfortable.

It was too firm for me. Also, the key safe is located using the ‘what three words’ system that I don’t understand. It would be better to say the key safe is on the fence post opposite the door. It was good to find that the single beds are suitable for adults.

We have never stayed at a property with so much attention to detail.

It was everything we wanted to experience. It was luxurious and secluded. Very close to the coast and other areas. We actually stayed when it was the hottest September on record and it was so enjoyable. The owners were in touch in order to ensure that we were pleased with their property, and of course we were.

There was everything you could need provided including a lovely welcome pack . It was beautifully clean and comfortable . The park was peaceful and quiet and restful . The owners were very thoughtful and checked to make sure we had everything we needed . A lovely place .

Wouldn’t hesitate to return, ideal location for a relaxing holiday whether getting out & about to the nearby excellent beaches etc or just staying in & putting your feet up.

The site is clean & peaceful & facilities within are more than adequate.

The view from the lodge was wonderful the beds were really comfortable there was everything you could want in the way of kitchen equipment.Loved it would definitely recommend it.Also it is so well placed easy access to so many places.

Excellent Lodge, all facilities were very good, had a lovely call from the owner which I thought wasexceptional.

Lodge is situated between 2 wonderful parts of North Devon - Infracombe & Woolacombe. 10/10 from me.

A lovely and generous welcome pack everything was great. The weather wasn't good so we didn't sit outside much but the views were great.

We felt like valued customers and they had provided nice good quality furniture and fittings. Poppy lodge is tastefully decorated and well positioned on the site overlooking beautiful countryside. Comfortable bed. Would recommend and book again. Superb holiday accommodation.
