It’s also a fantastic destination for birdwatching, with opportunities to see species such as guillemots, peregrine falcons, and even the occasional rarity – making it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. The vibrant fishing town of Brixham is nearby, offering a bustling harbour, fresh seafood, and plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop, while South Devon’s top attractions are all within easy reach.

Facilities and maintenance

Very disappointed to find that the reception, bar, games room and pool have been removed, and this part of the park is a building site.

This is not explicit in the listing. We used the facilities available at the sister site, but this requires a short drive or walk and detracts a little from the enjoyment of having on-site facilities. Apart from the uncomfortable bed, the chalet was clean and functional, and the site is well maintained.

Basic but comfortable.

In need of a bit of attention to the widow seals to the double bedroom. Hot water at the kitchen sink would have been helpful (there was literally a dribble) but we managed with a kettle.
