“I’m disgusted, I wanted a hot tub but it wasn’t working.”

No help from on-site maintenance or owner. Stinking in home, probably drains but again no help from maintenance or owner. Wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. Have tried to get some money back but they are ignoring me.

Here's an 'action - timeline so that others can judge whether your defamatory comments on 'No Help' and 'ignoring' are valid: Greg and I were notified of your booking by Sykes who described it as 'urgent' at 4.50pm on the Friday you arrived. We would not normally accept a booking at this late hour but did on this occasion as Sykes had sent the request. Our lodge manager, Tom, immediately went to the lodge and switched the hot tub on. It takes several hours to heat up so wouldn't have been available that night. You messaged me just before 9pm that the hot tub wasn't working, there was a smell in the bathroom and there was no bottle opener. I responded at 11.40pm which was my first opportunity to do so as I was at work where phones are not allowed during the shift. Sykes contacted Greg 11.15am on Saturday morning and at 11.22am Greg contacted Tom who said that you had already contacted him several times and he was checking whether there was an issue at the sub-station. Tom, who owns the adjacent lodge, offered his hot tub for the remaining 2 nights of your 3-night stay in case he couldn't fix ours. Our lodge is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between guests, so I can only imagine that the site drains were the source of a smell. Tom investigated and couldn't find anything inside the lodge that could account for the smell. We have a full set of crockery, cutlery and utensils in the kitchen so either the bottle opener has been taken or it wasn't left in the kitchen. Greg contacted Sykes immediately after your stay and authorised a partial refund as a gesture to compensate for the issues you reported. Dawn Property Owner
