2 The Glade

The property was perfect for us, it was in a nice peaceful location, it was a short walk away from the local pub and shops and a short drive to the different beaches.

It was a comfortable stay, had all the amenities you need for a holiday cottage. The only negative thing is the main window in the lounge area didn't shut fully and needs attention to be fixed, if it was a cold day you would have felt a breeze coming through, luckily for us we chose a week that was warm. The main bedroom is tight on space, other than that it was a nice place to stay.

Nice little place with 2 bedrooms.

Not really enough storage for clothes but that's because the rooms are small. It was a lovely place, just big enough for us ( 2 adults and a dog). We used it as a base for us to stay and had day trips out. Cooking facilities were adequate, beds were comfortable and sheets clean and fresh. No complaints at all. We had a great holiday and would definitely stay here again. (We have stayed twice at 2 The Glade now, and also in another cottage on the same park) Maybe see you again next year.

My 3 children and I had a lovely stay at this property.

It was clean, well furnished and comfortable. It was also a really good location for exploring and near so many beautiful places. The only issue I had was that when I booked, it was described as having an enclosed garden. Although it did have a garden, it was not enclosed at all and was shared with the other guests. I found it very challenging with my dog ans I couldn’t just let her out for the toilet. Also the hot water tap in the kitchen and bathroom didn’t work. We followed the instructions in the folder to fix this problem, but was still cold for the whole holiday.

Very cosy little holiday home. It had all the amenties that we needed for our stay. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. It is close to Sandymouth beach also close to Bude.

I was a little worried after reading the last review, however it could not have been further from the truth!

We found it to be spotless, comfortable and very well equipped . Everything was excellent quality, furniture was good quality and very comfy sofas ( we had our own sofa blanket for the dog but blankets were supplied ) . Clearly time and effort has been invested in this lodge to make it so comfortable. It looks like the outside of the lodge has recently been refurbished to a high standard and we had a lovely evening sitting outside the lodge on a quiet still evening. Beds were really good. comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. It's a very nice quiet clean park. It is a great base for seeing the local area. Having been in hospitality for years my baseline is always whether or not I would stay again, and I would absolutely stay here again, really enjoyed our stay! Well situated to enjoy the local attractions, A must is an afternoon at Clovelly which is a half hour drive. The National Trust Sandymouth Bay Beach is two miles away , we went there every morning with our dog who loved the rock pools as we enjoyed a coffee overlooking the bay . Live music at Crooklets Beach Bar in Bude and dinner in the local village pub close to the park (Kilkhampton ) , perfect end to a perfect stay. We will be back !

The listing was def not as described.

The whole place was dirty and that is not an exaggeration. Sofas covered in crumbs and dust, floors dirty and dusty, dirty beds, dirty fridge, dirty crockery, dirty surfaces. I could go on but would need more space. Fair to say that the whole place had not been cleaned by a professional.
